The house, which was also used as a training hall for tea ceremony, still has the charm of the design that attracts Kyoto craftsmen and pays attention to materials and craftsmanship in every detail. In particular, the "tea room" in the back of the building is made of natural materials, including earthen walls, columns, ceilings, and lighting. You can see stains on the earthen walls, but the traditional tea room is also tasted as "wabi and rust", so I dare to leave it there. It also displays antique kimonos, props, etc. from nearly 100 years ago. If you are interested in Japanese culture such as "tea ceremony", "Japanese style architecture", "kimono", etc., we would like you to have an experience staying in a tea room. In addition, there are many tea bowls for authentic tea ceremony. I would definitely recommend making tea with that bowl of tea once during your stay. Rest in the tatami mat room with your own futons. Small children who do not need futons (enough to sleep together) can stay for free. You can also relax on the terrace in the garden. On the veranda (25m2), there is a table for six people, a recliner (2) where you can lay down and relax, so you can talk slowly with your close friends. There is also a small office with a door next to the shared living room.There is also a whiteboard in the back which is great for remote conferences etc. We have 2 bicycles that are free to use, so it is convenient for shopping, walking, and more.Convenience stores and large supermarkets are also very close. This is a small room next to the kitchen. As pictured, there is only one curtain partition between the room and the kitchen.It is adjacent to the shared dining area and is used as a kitchen storage area. I think it is a convenient room to travel with a small child, but the sun is not good. No keys or doors. I usually use it when a host and a close associate come to stay or when a person on duty is staying. (Japanese only) This room is usually used as a DV shelter and sometimes hosts come and go.Please understand that this is not a typical bedroom. That's why we're cheaper than other rooms. Meals are not included.
