Waterfront holiday rentals in Het Hogeland

A nice and big place to stay, well located. It is quiet and yet the path to the center is not far. The decor is great, it has everything you need. The only thing we didn't like is that a camera points to the apartment door. You feel something like this is being monitored. But otherwise everything is great, we would like to stay there again.

Sita's place was perfect for my two night stay in Dukkum. Perfect location and lock box for easy and flexible check-in. Sita was a wonderful host and left a nice welcome gift. Definitely will stay here again when I am back in the area.

Roger was a perfect and very kind host. His project of an B&B in the old school is cosy and beautiful. We enjoyed the time in Wierum (it is reeeeeally a quite place)

We enjoyed our stay at Jenneke and Henk's place. Clean and quiet, and perfect location to explore the city by waling or on bike.

Robert is a very kind host. The accommodation looks cozy, is clean and with a lovely large garden on the lake. Breakfast was various good! Glad we could leave the trailer for the surfboard until after the competitions in the garden. In short, a very nice place to spend time.

We spent 4 nights at this place, and absolutely loved it! The location is in the country along a canal. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. What a gem! I highly recommended this place to others!

Top stay! We enjoyed ourselves, despite the somewhat disappointing weather. The stay in Petra and her husband's B&B was really a party. We were very warmly received and they made sure we lacked nothing. We stayed on the upper floor of their charming farm, where the chickens and cats roamed around. How nice it was that they even came to listen to our choir performance in the church of Reahûs! In short: a must and a big 10 from us! Greetings from Nel, Kristiana, Ellen & Erica.

What a peaceful place to stay! Spotless and cozy, tastefully decorated. Quiet and right on the water. The Hollema family were all so friendly and generous with their time and knowledge. Rent a canoe, kayak, or motorboat from them—you won’t regret. Charming village with nice grocery store and restaurant all around the corner. Heaven!

This is our second time staying at this lovely cottage in Airling, which says a lot — we rarely return to the same place twice, but our first stay here was so wonderful that we just had to come back. The area is incredibly peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to truly relax and unwind. The cottage may be small, but it has absolutely everything you might need — every little thing is thoughtfully provided, and somehow, whatever you're looking for, you always find it right there. We loved our stay with Mandy! The place was exactly as described. She gave us many local recommendations and was very accommodating and helpful. We loved being in a small secluded town. Short drives to ferry for island visiting and short drive to for restaurants other than the lovely pub in town.

Although I did not meet Gea in person, the contact with her was very pleasant. She responds directly and is very helpful and kind. The cottage is to fall in love with. Very nicely decorated and you really have everything you need. It smells fresh and clean. It is such a cottage where you feel right at home, cozy! You have a private terrace on the water where you can sit. The center, there you are walking in a few minutes. The location is perfect. Highly recommended!

A beautiful, modern finished remote cottage by the water. Super beautiful in nature, you can see deer and hares walking. Water on the other side. Great for cycling, going to the city. Kitchen has everything, nice shower. Clean rooms with comfortable beds.

Diana was very friendly and gave us many helpful tips. We liked the apartment very much and it was stylishly furnished. The location is close to the center and the furnishings corresponded completely to the description and had a high standard. We would come back here anytime.

Stay is in a good location to the city center of Leeuwarden. Museums, restaurants and shopping in walking distance. Well cared for stay. Good communication. Nice detail: the photo wall with what the street used to look like. Tip: the Miniature People hiking trail!

We have often rented the accommodation in the last few months, which we liked very much.

Julian is a responsive host. His apartment offers a quiet, natural light-filled home with a very comfortable bed in a modern well-appointed space. It was very clean upon arrival and the washer/dryer was great to have since we had been traveling already 10 days. Julian was very agreeable in getting the key to our daughter who lives in the town since we were arriving very late. What we wish we had known/understood: the apartment is up three flights of a tight spiral staircase; while not cluttered at all it’s clear that it’s the owners living space (e.g. no ability to use closet because personal items were there) and food items were in the fridge and cabinets. Again, not cluttered, but it just surprised us. The listing notes that there’s a private office area (& shows photos) however that was marked private with a closed door and full of the owner’s items. The apartment was very convenient to our daughter’s apt and Julian was very flexible; we would love to stay again!

Hello everyone, we were now in Jan's apartment for the 3rd time. The apartment is very spacious, well equipped, great location and a fantastic view from the balcony. Whether by boat, bike, car or on foot - you always have great moments and sights. Very great and we would be happy to come a 4th time
