Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Hermanville-sur-Mer

A fantastic base for a Normandy adventure. It’s situated on a quiet lane on the edge of town neighbouring some picturesque older properties [this did however mean a 20 minute walk to the shops] The property itself appeared to be a newish build with the usual amenities and was adequate for our needs [we took and used our own kettle] a nice touch was the shutters on all windows and doors rendering it both secure and with the ability to block out daylight when inside if needed. We squeezed our VW Transporter onto the driveway no problem. We would definitely consider staying again

I was visiting Normandy for the fourth time to visit my uncle and godfather's grave a few miles away at Douvre la Delivrande and the British Normandy memorial along the coast at Ver-sur-mer. It was a 500m walk to the memorials and the beach at Hermanville-sur-mer and we also visited Lion-sur-mer about 1500m in a westerly direction along the beach

Everything you need is present in the large house. Romain is very friendly and responds immediately to all your questions. We had no hot water at one point and Romain came by immediately. Super host and stay, with a perfect price/quality ratio. RECOMMENDED!

Excellent location for the D Day beaches or just for a beach holiday in Langrune. The house is quirky and may not suit everyone because of steep stairs and the layout, but it worked fine for the four adults in our party. The baker and butcher in the village are brilliant and the general store and greengrocers are more than adequate. Cathy and Nicholas were very heloful with recommendations of places to eat. We had a wonderful holiday as a result.

La Petite Maison was a perfect choice for a short stay, for two people, near the Normandy beaches. There is a very comfortable bed. The kitchen area is small, but had everything we needed. The fridge was very efficient, even during such hot weather. We made much use of the delightful outside space, enjoying breakfast and apéros sat in the sun. We spent three lovely days in Lion-sur-Mer, and wouldn't hesitate to return to this property. Thank you Marie-Françoise.

The accommodation is cozy and very comfortable, just a 10-minute walk from the beach and the outside is a real plus. We appreciated the little attention that Fanny and Julien had when we arrived. We would highly recommend it.

Delphine is very friendly, responsive and flexible. Its chalet, independent, modern and well-equipped, with a beautiful terrace and a beautiful garden is exceptional because it is well located, doubly: on one side, a private and enclosed access and on the other side, access to all the amenities of a campsite, opposite the other side of the street. In addition, it has a quadruple exposure with windows everywhere. We immediately feel at home there. It should be noted that Delphine is demanding in terms of the care that must be given to her accommodation and its equipment. But this did not pose any problem for us because we are ourselves very careful and respectful. In short, we had a great stay, we will come back with great pleasure!

Comfortable accommodation with a very pleasant sea view, we had a very nice short stay with everything available on foot nearby, bakery, fishmonger, restaurants etc. We will surely come back ☺️

We visited for the 81st D-Day celebrations. Perfectly placed for anyone visiting Sword Beach, Pegasus Bridge, Merville Battery, Hillman and Caen. Stephanie was extremely helpful and let us know about several local events. The clean modern accommodation was perfect for a short or longer stay and there were as many leaflets and guides that were provided that would put many Tourist Information offices to shame! All in all I would highly recommend the accommodation. Information Information

My husband and I have just spent two wonderful weeks at Miguel and Karine's. The apartment is very functional and warm, and of exemplary cleanliness. They are very attentive hosts and really concerned with making their nice accommodation as hospitable as possible. Nothing is missing: there are even some very well-chosen books and indoor and outdoor games! The location with sea view is really very nice: very quiet and in a nice residence. Impossible to get bored even if you want to forget the car: just a few steps away, there is the nautical club and the beautiful promenade along the beach (for pedestrians and bikes) that goes from the resorts of Lion sur Mer to the center of Ouistreham with a maritime port and various museums... and nearby: a very good restaurant and a small beach bar for ice cream and pancakes: very nice! It was a beautiful discovery and we hope to return!

As others have mentioned this is an excellent holiday flat and superb base from which to explore Normandy and the beautiful city of Caen. The flat is clean, comfortable and is very well equipped for self-catering though the nearby town center bars and restaurants may tempt you out at little more that you planned. Highlights include secure and convenient parking, excellent bathroom and shower, comfortable bed and the bonus of a lovely private garden to kick back while sampling the local calvados in the evening. As mentioned the flat is very central with a five minute walk into the center for fresh bread and croissants in the morning. Caen itself is full of surprises with beautiful churches and abbeys combined with a very laid back atmosphere. Though we did not meet Christine her ongoing communication was both discrete and charming. Book you wont regret it. 5 stars all round

Cozy unique apartment with beautiful view to an old church. It is also in a beautiful shopping street with pubs and restaurants. The aparment itself has everything you need, and you get alot of value for your money. The owner answers quick and with clear instructions. Would definitely stay here again!

We had an incredible stay at this beachfront Airbnb! The location is absolutely unbeatable — you literally open the back gate and step right onto the sand. It was such a treat to wake up and be at the beach within seconds. The house itself was spotless and really well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and the bathroom was stocked with all the essentials. The kids loved the dedicated room and play area — it made the whole stay even more relaxing for us. It’s hard to find a place that offers this kind of location and comfort at such great value. We’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

I was in Caen for a conference so I didn't enjoy the accommodation or the beautiful little garden much, but everything worked perfectly. Guillaume, who I met, is a great host!

Pleasant stay at Karin's. Close to the city center and the sea. Nearby shops and a beautiful walk along the coast.

We had a great time in a spotless apartment, recently renovated, with sea views. No car needed, everything is within walking distance, we enjoyed the dike and the sandy beach. Thanks to Christelle for her welcome, guidelines and advice.

Very nice stay, good bedding. I regret not having been able to communicate with Julie. Airbnb requires us to go through them and I can never connect, it's too complicated. Before, I always had the host's phone. A bad point for Airbnb.

Marie Jo is caring and was really accommodating. Accommodation as described, very functional, arranged with great taste and very well equipped. The cellar for storing bikes is a real plus. Very well located both from the sea and the city center. I would recommend this property and would not hesitate to come back.
