Cottage holiday rentals in Hepburn Shire

Nice little cottage in the bush. Freezing cold when we arrived (no surprise, it's winter), but the fire eventually warmed the whole house up.

The house is clean and peaceful, beautifully located by the lake. It’s especially delightful to take a stroll at sunset. I really enjoyed my stay and hope to visit again in the future.

A little oasis perfectly situated next to the Botanic Gardens! Heaps of space for a couple, plus a beautiful veranda out the back. The spa was a treat! Would stay again.

Had the most relaxing stay at Airbnb Lady Marmalade. James house exudes a delightful atmosphere, in a quiet neighbourhood featuring soft lighting, cosy central heating system, and an exceptionally comfortable bed. I also found the record collection was a nostalgic trip down memory lane by the wooden pot belly to be particularly enjoyable.

Had the most amazing stay! This little cottage is full of charm and the perfect place to escape to for rest and relaxation. The property is lovely and the cottage itself is cozy and well-equiped with everything you need (and more). The bath on the veranda was totally divine! Hosts also have a great collection of records and CDs which gave the whole stay its own 5-star soundtrack. My only regret not staying longer!

Loved our stay at Tara, lovely cottage and great location. Everything you needed including extra blankets for cold winter nights. Enjoyed our walk into town for breakfast. Thanks Kaley and John

Beautiful little area, easy to find and clear check-in instructions, the spa was the perfect temperature, very clean and the perfect distance from town to be walkable but also nice and quiet and very private. The only issues we had was a lack of sponge or cloth to wash the dishes with but aside from that it was well worth it, I highly recommend

Beautiful property and a brilliant location. What was a lovely surprise for me was the abundance of bird life every morning and evening. So beautiful! I’d definitely book this property again if going to Creswick.

I have never stayed in a house with so many amenities. We didn't want for anything, Serena has thought of everything making our few days in Trentham very comfortable and welcoming. The open fires, the stocked pantry, books, games, magazines and the small touches that made the stay special. I highly recommend this property for families and groups of friends. Serena was a pleasure to deal with; she was responsive and provided us with a late checkout. Thank you!

We had the most wonderful stay! So peaceful and serene. The cottage is absolutely perfect with all the amenities you need for your stay. Beautiful surroundings will so much to explore right at your doorstep. Thank you for the thoughtful added touches. We enjoyed the complimentary wine, fresh milk, quail eggs and fresh herbs. This lovely cottage in Vaughan was beyond our expectations. Situated between Castlemaine and Daylesford it is tucked away, quiet and private. It was a warm, cosy and comfortable retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne. It had all the cooking utensils, condiments, pans to cook any meal. The beds were super comfortable and warm. The newly renovated bright bathroom is a dream with washing machine supplied. And of course, the home was welcome to our two dogs which was such a wonderful bonus for us. We will definitely be seeking out this retreat again in the future. Cheryl

Great little cabin, short drive from townships of Hepburn and Dayelsford. Emma was excellent with communication.

This is our second stay at Andy and Pauls place. It was just as awesome as our first stay. The place is clean, warm, comfortable and well thought out. We felt right at home within the beautiful surroundings of Daylesford.

We absolutely loved our stay at Minna and Peter's 'Le Shack' The location was just perfect, with birdlife and roos viewable from the deck and windows. Everything was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. There was a small air conditioner which we barely used (a couple of the days were quite hot) and leaving the windows open at night was enough. It felt secluded but so close to Daylesford and lots of amazing places to visit. We didn't want to leave. Thank you so much Minna and Peter.

Lovely little home and very comfortable stay. We loved the town and community of Daylesford, wish we were staying an additional couple of days.

Tranquillo was a beautiful cottage. Walking distance to the Main Street where it was bustling with cafes, restaurants, antiques, homewares etc. we took our bikes and rode most of the tourist places and walked up for dinner and breakfast every day. The cottage was clean, tidy, quiet and comfortable. We will definitely be back again. Thank you Rebecca for an amazing stay at your cottage.

Second time staying here, as beautiful as the first! Always spotless with a fully stocked kitchen that we made the most off for dinner and breakfast. The most comfortable spotlessly clean beds! Within walking distance to town and local markets made for a perfect, relaxing holiday. Ann was always available whenever I had any questions. She had the best recommendations which made our stay so easy. Will definitely be back soon.

Dayna’s place is fantastic for its location. 6mins driving to Daylesford’s main strip, and only a couple of minutes walking into the Hepburn bathhouse & spa (if you’re keen on a relaxing massage)! The spot was private & quiet while still being accessible. The house itself was spotless and the furniture was really clean. There may be other residents in the adjacent houses on your stay but we didn’t even hear them till we were checking out! Can’t ask for much more. Thanks Dayna for hosting us at your lovely home :)

A very well thought out and considered AirBnB. It's just very good. Joanne was lovely on arrival, she quickly showed us what we needed to be shown and disappeared not to be seen again but clearly very available if needed. There is a lot of cool stuff in there but it feels very spacious in spite of that. Make the most of the sound system into the bathroom and the mirrors on the roof of the spa bath and shower after sitting on the love swing in front of a fire or out in the garden on a bench wrapped in blankets.

Sunrise cottage was exactly what we were after - private, quiet, peaceful and secluded. The view from the decking is gorgeous and there's so much natural light in the cottage. Monika was super helpful and a lovely host. Would definitely recommend a stay here for a relaxing little getaway.
