During summertime you can sit outside at the BBQ on the porch with a drink. In the fall, you can stroll through the woods and fields. During the winter, you can cozily enjoy reading by the woodstove. In spring, you can enjoy the first sunshine and fresh greenery. Throughout the year it is enjoyable here. The birds will whistle you awake and deer walking around will sometimes come right up to near the house.

Het Goede Gemoed is located in a very wooded area where you can walk, cycle and recreate to your heart's content. On the grounds of the University of Twente you can enjoy sports. The inner cities of Enschede, Hengelo, Oldenzaal and Borne are within cycling distance of the house. The lovely villages of Delden, Goor, Boekelo are also in the vicinity. Het Goede Gemoed; "Afterwards and yet close". Good cozy restaurants are plentiful and also grabbing a movie is done in no time.

Our cottage is located behind our house near the nature reserves Haaksberger- and Buurserveen. Natural swimming pool within walking distance. Enjoy the quiet surroundings and beautiful hiking and cycling tours. Price for sauna on request. From the veranda you have a beautiful view of meadows and wooden waves. The place is suitable for 1 or 2 people. For a small fee you build your own campfire. A coal barbecue is available. Use of own cooking appliances is not permitted.

Our old Schoppe is completely newly built (maintaining the original ribbon) and furnished with 2 bedrooms, cozy kitchen, and nice bathroom. Wonderful nature view. Living room with 2x double sofa beds. Lots of privacy and a private garden with terrace. There is sleeping accommodation of 2-6 people. Bedlinen and towels are provided. We were there for a weekend with 4 adults and 2 children and it was great. The house is as described and in the photos and everything necessary is available. From baby beds to high chairs, toys and firewood. The garden is incredibly beautifully located with direct access to the lake. There are loungers, SUPs, an air mattress, a fireplace and a pizza oven. Only the weather let us down a bit - but Suzan can't do anything about that :)

We had a great experience with Alexander and Caroline as hosts, and you can tell that they put a lot of love into designing the place and making it feel super homely and cozy. We had a little request mid-stay and in spite of the short stay they didn't hesitate to take care of it and did so in a timely manner, which we really appreciated. Caroline gave us some good recommendations on the first day and we really enjoyed the suggested hike. We are grateful for the welcoming atmosphere and also simply to have met them. We wish them all the best with making their dream come true over the years and we hope to come back! If you're looking for a cozy nature escape, this is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway that takes you back in time while providing all the comforts (and the hot tub is a real treat).
