Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Hawaiian Acres

Everything was as described and we enjoyed our stay at the property - it was between Hilo and Volcanoes which worked well for us. Cooling the bedroom down does take some time, as the A/C is only in the living room and the cool air doesn't get into the bedrooms very easily, combined with the slat windows not sealing so some of the cool air leaks out of the house. However, the house was very clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay there.

Highly, highly recommend the Volcano house if staying in the area! Joshua and Geneva thought of everything to make the stay feel homey and welcoming - from the personalized check-in call and recommendations to the fruit basket and other goodies to all of the local guidebooks and information available in the house- they made it incredibly easy to have a relaxing and well-planned vacation near VNP. We loved spending time on the porch, the kitchen was very well-stocked (don’t buy condiments/dressings, or coffee!), beds were cozy, and we loved both the indoor and outdoor showers. We didn’t make use of the beach equipment but it was available along with umbrellas, chairs etc. It’s a little out of the way but that also makes it special. Overall, a really great stay when visiting the park or this area of the island.

This was such a great place to stay near Volcano National Park!! Very clean, comfortable, private little cabin really!!! Super back deck- outdoor shower was awesome and hot tubing at night was very romantic!! With breakfast at the front door every morning we felt very pampered!!

Just a magical place. Loved the views of the lava flows, a great view of the ocean in the distance and just a peaceful neighborhood. Jade was absolutely fantastic in communication and we appreciated her local recommendations. If we’re ever fortunate enough to return to the big island, we would for sure stay here again.

My wife and I spent four nights in the penthouse unit of Jenn and Kristian’s beautiful home. We loved our time there. The unit was in good condition and comfortably furnished and the private rooftop terrace was perfect for early morning stargazing.

This Airbnb is a hidden gem nestled in a serene rainforest—waking up each morning to birdsong and sipping coffee on the back porch while watching colorful birds flit through the trees was pure magic. The home itself was comfy, clean, and just the right size for our family of four. John is a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. His insider tips led us to some stunning local beaches and made our visit to Volcanoes National Park even more memorable. If you’re looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway with unique local experiences, this is the place. Highly recommend!

Wspaniałe miejsce na wypoczynek z rodziną. Zielone, ciche, pełne egzotycznej roślinności. Otacza Cię ogród z papaya, lilikoi, avocado. Miły ganek gdzie można wypić kawę i zjeść śniadanie. Dom przytulny, z wszystkimi potrzebnymi w takim miejscu wygodami. Gospodarz upiekł nam ciasto i podarował dżem z papaya i świeże owoce z ogrodu. Szkoda że byłem tak krótko!

We had a great stay. The home is in great shape, very clean, with plenty of amenities for your stay. The view from the backyard is simply breathtaking. Chase is a great host who gives you all the info you could ever need. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

Great place to stay located nearby both Volcanoes National Park and Hilo. The unit was clean and comfortable and located in a quiet neighborhood. The host was very easy to communicate with and replied quickly on questions. Great place to stay outside of town and would recommend again.

The stay with Robynne was amazing! It's rare to find such a great host and such an incredibly cosy and super clean Airbnb. We would have loved to stay longer. We couldn't have imagined a better stay. It felt like home. We also got to meet the two huskies and they were super cute. All in all: 10 out of 10!! Mahalo Robynne and thank you for your hospitality!

What a great place to stay if you are visiting the Volcano area. The unit is warm and inviting and in a great little bush setting. Ideal for a base camp just 8 minutes from the National Park. The unit is just as described and a nice little breakfast was supplied. Highly recommended for a stay.

This house was just like my house but in Hawaii... This house was very quirky and had personality..Loved the little geckos that came to visit as well as the chickens. This house had everything we needed. It was quiet and peaceful. I recommended. The host was amazing. We all hope that we can come back again.

Truly an oasis! Dana and Gregory are wonderful hosts and Rivendell was one of our favorite Air BnB stays. The apartment was spotless and well-stocked, the bed was so comfortable, and the hot tub was very well-maintained and heated quickly. Now for the best part! The landscaped property and waterfall made for peaceful mornings and restful evenings. We wished we were staying longer. Mahalo for the perfect weekend stay! We will be back!

Really quaint little place, exactly as described. Richard was a great host and provided everything we needed. It is slightly off the main road and down a gravel lane but the instructions were very clear and precise. We would come back.

I loved how the balcony looks over to lush greenery, makes it feel like your own private oasis. And it had everything I needed for my stay.

Unit was very clean and host provided good information-follow her instructions to find unit. Condo community is a bit aged/in need of maintenance but the unit was very well maintained. We used laundry and this worked very well.

Linda was so quick to answer and her place was even better than pictured. Completely modern and updated, with a super warm feel! Had all of the appliances you could need, and the location was great. Surrounding area was beautiful. Would absolutely stay here again and truly recommend it!!

Het is een leuke plek om te verblijven. Het huisje was groter dan we dachten! S’avonds kan je een beetje overlast hebben van vogels. Het huisje van binnen heeft alles wat je nodig hebt en de spullen zijn allemaal nieuw. Het ligt vlakbij een belangrijke weg van Big Island dus je kan makkelijk op pad. Het zwembad lijkt op de plaatjes wel iets mooier en heeft iets weg van vergaande glorie toen wij er waren. Voor de rest staat er wel een onhandige container waar je auto net langsgaat als het terrein opkomt. Al met al zal ik huisje zeker aanraden. Wij waren zelf overdag constant weg, maar het was een fijn huisje om terug te komen na een lange dag!

Joe and Cindy’s place in Hilo was a great base of operations for all the adventuring we had lined up while visiting the area. The location is walkable to several great restaurants, shops, Ola Brewing, and 7-11(best musubi on the island). The bed was super comfortable. The space was clean, uncluttered, and felt larger than the description would insist. Loved the tv hidden in a frame with vintage Nintendo games and two wireless controllers. The hosts are responsive when asked a question. There was an unfortunate issue that happened on the grounds in front of the lanai while we were there. They addressed the issue showing aloha hospitality when things didn’t go perfectly. The scooters they have available for rent were in great condition and super convenient for getting distances that are borderline walkable. Hilo is a great little downtown. So many cool things to do and see! Mahalo, Joe and Cindy! We now love Hilo!

This place was perfect and exactly what we needed. It was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located to everything we wanted to do on the Big Island, without costing a fortune.
