Holiday rentals with a kayak in Hastings Highlands

Nuchanart and Robert were absolutely wonderful hosts. Although our stay was hit by extreme rains, winds, and a full day power outage, both hosts were actively communicating with us and helpful. Numerous resources were provided to help mitigate the issues due to the once in a century storm. Aside from the issues due to the weather, which were resolved quickly and with great respect; the AirBNB was stunning and perfect. Everything was stocked, immaculate, and thoughtful. Everyone had an absolute blast with the water sports, ping pong table, fire-pit, etc. We felt at home and absolutely would come for another stay at this property.

Tracey & Rodney were great hosts only matched by their charming home and surroundings! I would rate 6 stars if I could - highly recommended. We had a wonderful stay! The place is absolutely beautiful—spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax and feel comfortable, and the home had everything we needed throughout our stay. From the fully equipped kitchen to the cozy living spaces, everything was well-maintained and made us feel right at home. Would definitely recommend and hope to return again!

Absolutely lovely spot! We had such a relaxing time here. There was lots to do; kayaking, fishing off the dock, board games, Roku and more. Such a cozy vibe- we are definitely adding it to our list for future getaways. Kees was a great host; very easy to follow instructions and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Kelly's place was absolutely gorgeous. A cozy cottage in the lap of nature; you're surrounded by natural beauty. Lush green fields, a gushing river and plenty of activities, it's the perfect place to unwind, relax and have a great time. Listening to the sound of the river was absolutely the highlight of our trip and the weather was just perfect for a quick swim. Would definitely go back! Beautiful and easy to reach location and Kelly was super helpful throughout our stay.

I had an amazing stay, the place looks even better in person than it does in the photos! The lake is absolutely beautiful and made for such a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The host was incredibly thoughtful and provided everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a scenic, stress-free escape.

This is our second Thanksgiving Long Weekend spent at Dave's cottage. Everything was as perfect as last year. This year the First Aid Kit came really handy as one of us poked himself doing the dishes. He was able to patch himself up really quickly since the kit was right under the kitchen sink. There aren't many cottages around that are as considerate as this one that supplies First Aid Kits on BOTH floors. I can't say enough compliments for the hosts.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lorie's cottage! The cottage was incredibly clean and well-stocked with everything we needed and more. Despite the first two days being cold and rainy, we had a fantastic time indoors, spending quality time with our kids playing board games and doing puzzles. Once the weather improved, we took full advantage of the lake. The water was warm and perfect for swimming, and we loved having access to kayaks, a pedal boat, and paddle boards. It's the ideal place for a peaceful escape, and we would highly recommend Lorie's cottage to anyone looking for a quiet retreat.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dock Cottage. It was modern elegance mixed with warm vintage touches. It had everything we needed to make our stay really comfortable and we loved the dock, hot tub and kayaking on the lake. It was quiet and peaceful and felt far away from everything yet we were an easy walk from Miss Nelle’s coffee shop and ice cream stand where we went each morning for a coffee (opens at 7am), Muskoka Brewing Company for a beer and a few other Baysville shops. The communication and instructions were really helpful and we received prompt replies if we had a question so it felt like we were really taken care of. We will definitely be back and recommend it to friends.

Jackie’s cottage is an amazing and authentic way to enjoy the Canadian countryside. We felt very at home. Jackie was super responsive in case we had any questions. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. Would recommend to all.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was communicative and made check-in super easy. The neighbourhood was quiet, and we felt right at home during our visit. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Our stay at Chris' cottage was fantastic. The place was exactly as advertised, super clean with a great dock for fishing and lots of outdoor activities for our busy kids. Check in and check out were easy and the host was very responsive and helpful.

Our group had a wonderful stay at the cottage! Cassidy was very communicative and the amenities were top notch - we enjoyed the lakefront view, kayak, sauna and hot tub. Fresh towels and laundry within the cottage made everything super convenient. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

This cottage was amazing. The place was entirely as described and the prior reviews were spot on. Roxana was very helpful, gave tons of recommendations and was very kind and responsive. Kitchen was well stocked, the beds were super comfortable, the AC was perfect and I literally can’t think of a single critique. A really nice touch with the s’mores station that my kid basically ate all of. We will definitely be back!!

We had such a wonderful time staying at Rowan Cottage! It was my husband and I with our little Boston Terrier and everything was perfect! The place was spotless when we got there and the instructions to check in were very easy to navigate. The place felt brand new. It was just the right amount of space for us. It is a fairly private area and the waters were very peaceful, not a lot of traffic on the water at all! The views from the cottage were amazing - perfect for the morning coffee! Appliances were great, and the washroom was so clean. There were awesome board games and vinyl records to jam to. As well as a Bluetooth speaker to connect. We were never bored! For anyone looking to visit, there are a fair bit of mosquitos so remember bug spray! Overall an amazing experience and highly recommend!

Great place for a group stay near Eagle lake. It has a great deck, and everything you might need for water activities including kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets etc. Also, the cottage was more than perfect. Theres enough space for 6-7 folks and all the rooms have special views/features It had all the amenities listed in the description and a lot more. Everything was so thoughtful and it felt as we were at home. Also, the host was very responsive and helpful with instructions, suggestions, etc.

We had a very lovely and peaceful time at Mike and Rosa's lakeside cabin. The cabin was incredibly well decorated and well equipped. So many thoughtful touches from the hosts, even including snacks for us to enjoy! We were so happy to have popcorn for our movie night on the projector and s'mores for the fire pit. We made great use of the kayak and paddle board on our stay and were very comfortable in the cabin. My dog also had a great time and I really appreciated the dog bowls and towels on hand! The location is just lovely and private. I could not recommend staying at this cabin enough and I have already recommended it to friends. Thank you Mike and Rosa!! We really had the most wonderful stay!

Great place to stay! Very peaceful, felt very remote and isolated but was only 10 mins from town.

My family and I stayed at Christie’s cottage for Victoria Day long weekend. The first thing I noticed was that the pictures on the listing really didn’t do the place justice!! It was just what I wanted, the cottage feel but still comfortable like my own home. Christie had the place in pristine condition and there was more than enough sleeping, lounging and relaxing areas for everyone who joined us. This cottage is beautiful, it overlooks the lake & had everything we needed to start our family fun! The cottage itself, beautiful overall but Christie is really was the cherry on top. She was so accommodating & helpful (even stopped by to help us get the leafs game up and running). Thank you for sharing your property with us & just know you haven’t seen the last of us 😊 we’ll probably take at least two or three more trips here before the summers through!!! Don’t look any further this is the spot you should go to!!!

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful cottage to celebrate our anniversary. We live about an hour and a half drive from this place and it was very easy to find. Although our stay was short, it was so special. The beach is shared with other cottages but it was not being used by others during our stay which was nice. There’s a few fire pits for use too on the beach with wood provided by the host which was so lovely. We didn’t swim bc it was too cold but there were also a ton of water toys to use such as kayaks and paddle boards. The cottage itself is completely private and so so so charming. The place was so clean and had a ton of amenities you really don’t have to bring anything other than your own food. My husband and I agreed we must return in the future!!!

Great rustic place to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. Reminded me of my childhood family cottage. It was private and had everything one needs in a semi offgrid location. Bill was prompt, accommodating and friendly. Bring more firewood than you'll think you'll need! Thanks again, Bill!

I highly recommend the Lake House in Dorset/Raven Shores. This cottage was perfectly situated and close to scenic attractions and many trails. The property was picturesque morning, noon, and night. The perfect spot with easy access to the lake. Their customer service and attention to detail is second to none, exceeding my expectations every time. The hosts were readily available and responded quickly. The cottage was warm and Cozy "just like home." It was equipped with everything a family would need and more. We would stay again.

This was our second visit to Taylor’s place on Otter Lake and it was just as beautiful as we remembered ☺️ such a quiet lake, the cutest cottage and private dock, and anything we needed in town was less than 15 min away. This is such a gem of a spot it’s become our annual anniversary destination 🥰❤️
