Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Happy Valley

Very child friendly. We stayed at Lixin’s home while visiting my sister. We typically do whole-home rentals as I normally travel with my husband, my two toddlers, and my parents so we need the space and a kitchen. This house has been my favorite so far. The single level made it accessible for my mother who has a bad hip (we’ve been burned by all the stairs and split levels in Portland), and made watching my children so much easier. The home had toys for my kids, was stocked with kids plates and utensils, and even had a little kids table that my children loved. The backyard was gorgeous. It felt like a little meadow and was entirely visible as I lounged from above on the shaded back deck and watched my kids run around in the grass. 10/10 experience would love to stay again the next time we’re in town!

Exactly what we needed. This spot is in a very quiet, beautiful neighborhood. 10/10

Samantha allowed us an early check in at last minute which was great. She was very responsive. House was clean.

This was the perfect location for my stay! The house had everything you might need and we even sampled the fresh raspberries in the yard, delicious 😊 Kate was a great communicator with quick responses. The cafe across the street was wonderful! We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

This home was so peaceful and welcoming!. The sound from the waterfalls was just magical! The pictures did not do it justice. The kitchen was stocked with great cookware and sharp knives. Hard to find that at most bnb’s. Every one of us said multiple times that this was the best place we have ever stayed. We will definitely be back. Thank you for being a great host, Foster!

Very comfortable stay! Had all the things we needed for cooking which was really great as we wanted to make home cooked meals! Comfortable beds and place was very comfortable and super clean! Very quiet neighborhood and was nice to walk around and see all the spring flowers blooming! Host was easy to communicate with and nice to have easy check in and out with door code! Would highly recommend this place!

We absolutely love staying at The Foxglove! Aaron is a wonderful host, the house is full of great items to make you feel right at home. The kitchen is stocked with all the items you need to cook at home, and the layout is great for us! We both work remotely and are able to set up offices, as well as have a space for relaxing and enjoying a good movie, or cozy up with a book. We are repeat vacationers to the area and always try to stay at Aaron's home if it is available. Thank you for another great stay!

Great house, great location and sparkling clean! At first, we were thinking that there is nowhere to walk our dog. We like very long walks at least three times a day. Next day we found the pass to the other part of the neighborhood with unlimited amount of trails along the river and in the forest. It is just couple minutes away from the house. Our favorite forest entrance is the one dedicated to Ladybug dog. It is a very nice pass to the river. The living room has big enough table for the board games nights. I see that some people complain about the mattress. It is memory foam one. You either like this type or you don’t in general. It worked perfectly for me, though my husband complained it is too soft for him. Kids really liked upstairs beds. The house also equipped with everything for the dogs. We didn’t need it as we bring everything for our pup as we travel a lot and many houses don’t have dog items. You will find: bowls, towels, poop bags, etc. Thank you for having us!

Steal of a deal 👌🏽 Extremely reasonably priced! Right on a golf course, peaceful and friendly vibe around the property. No fancy bells or whistles in the unity, but a very homey space that had many thoughtful touches. Mike and Betsy were beyond accommodating and responded quickly to my messages. We would 100% stay here again!

This was the best AirBnb I’ve ever stayed in! Amanda and Michael are literally the sweetest and think of every little thing to make your stay comfortable and special! We felt right at home! The neighborhood is adorable and so walkable to great food nearby. Super close to the MAX (local public transportation), so there was times we didn’t even need our car. We LOVED it here! Staying here made us fall in love with Portland all over again. We cannot wait to revisit RCH🌹

Very cozy. Fit our family of seven very well. Great location and we had a great time visiting the local sites.

We had a nice weekend at the cabin! The hike to Little Zig Zag Falls was beautiful and perfect for our kids. We also loved walking from the house down to the river - we could’ve spent hours there. The house itself had pretty much everything we needed and was very comfortable. We all loved the hot tub! My only note would be to bring your blackout curtain for the window, if your kids use one. :)

The house was super large and accommodating for our large family. We were 9 adults, one infant, and one dog.. and we have so much room to relax or catch some private moments. The home is located so close to the Sandy River that the water’s soothing song can be heard through open windows at night. The neighborhood is friendly and safe for walks. The home was also fully equipped with gates for dogs/ babies, and stocked kitchen appliances. We appreciated the closing duties as they were very simple and easy to accommodate before needing to drive to Portland for our flights home. The home is also located so close to actives in the Gorge and Mount Hood.

Well before we even checked in they were very responsive to planning questions we had, the home was beautiful inside and out, and they had everything you could think to need from kitchen supplies to an AMAZING DVD and game collection and all the water floaties and shoes you could possibly need! We were looking at future dates and other locations they had to offer before we even checked out! I will note the stairs do suck but I feel like we were well informed and the host was very transparent before we even paid so we knew that going in and that’s a choice you will have to make. It won’t stop us from enjoying this little piece of the world again!

This was the best air bnb stay I’ve ever had. Linda made me feel welcome before I even arrived. Checking in - seeing if I needed anything before I arrived. The space was perfect and private. The bathroom is something out of a dream. My goodness, I’ve never seen a shower so big! Whiskey the dog was a quirky Ol’ pup who was super lovable and spent time just sitting next to me on the patio. The neighborhood is simply amazing. You won’t even need a car. The amount of cool bars eateries and everything else within a mile radius is astounding. Linda had a list of recs that really rocks. This entire stay was just a beautiful and relaxing time. The neighborhood and surrounding blocks felt incredibly safe. Simply put I just had the best time with my dog here. It’s a beautiful location, in an and amazing neighborhood, and it’s run by an awesome host. Best stay ever. This will be where I hope to stay whenever I visit town again.

This is our second stay at this home. The location is perfect and the peace and tranquility can't be beat!! Charlotte is a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed. We will be back.

Patricia's place is very well designed. Every amenity is as described. Further, everything has a touch of style and class. The paint colors give it a homey, rich feel. Super comfy bed. Fluffy white towels. So quiet and secure. Off street parking. It was my second time staying there and I will be back there the next time I am in the area.

Peggy’s place is all you need for self-care and hybernation. She has a breath taking view and hotel like amenities like the hot tub, sauna, high ceiling living room with glass door windows, even the classic pacman arcade (with old games too) that my son loved. Will be back.

This is our second stay here and we LOVE these amazing hosts! They are so kind, friendly, and they make sure that we had everything we needed, even with an extended stay. I was sad that we were so busy with house renovations and work that we couldn't chat more with them, but I am so thankful that we could come back to their peaceful cottage each day to rest after long days of work. My husband and I hope that we can come back in spring or summer for an actual vacation where we can enjoy their beautiful property and walk through the trails nearby when it's less rainy. This place feels like home and I love it! Thank you Mary and Don for the best stay!!

I rented this place for my daughter for her honeymoon. They said the bed was comfortable and the hot tub was in a garden like setting and very private.

An absolute gem of a place to stay. Do not hesitate to book. Beautifully designed. Wonderful wolf gas rage in a state full of electric stoves. A wonderful place to stay with friends, we didn’t want to leave. We will be back. Bigger than I expected from the photos. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
