What a wonderful place to relax! Everything was perfect, from the fully stocked kitchen to the comfy patio lounge chairs & bed, the fire pit with lots of wood all chopped & ready to go and best of all the hot tub! Bonus was the visiting deer which were fun to feed using the supplied apples! Highly recommend this secluded cottage on the river if you’re looking for a quiet getaway! The cottage was exactly as described in the listing! We booked this cottage because it was so close to our daughter’s wedding but it ended up being a mini vacation as well! Thank you!

This was our daughters first vacation out of the province so we were unsure of how it would go as she had just turned 4. We had such a lovely stay at Sarah's cozy lakefront cottage! It was peaceful and quiet — the perfect spot to relax and recharge. The location was great, with easy access to nearby attractions and some beautiful beaches close by as well as some others 1-2 hrs drive away. The host was friendly and made us feel right at home. The beds were really comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep after days spent exploring. Our daughter was thrilled with all the toys available, and we really enjoyed the selection of board games for some fun family evenings. We’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm, family-friendly getaway. We’d love to come back some day - our daughter did not want to come home.

Log cabins at Hubbards are great! It was a perfect place to stay with friends for a weekend wedding at the Shore Club. Staff at the office were very friendly and even helped us out with poop bags that we forgot and a later check-out. Classic cottage vibes.

With all the basic amenities in place, it’s a beautiful place to be on vacation. Loved the peaceful and quiet surrounding.

This place was gorgeous! So quiet and peaceful, and the bed was sooooo comfy! Yes you are close to the host but we never seen them and they respected our space! Even though we would’ve said hello, they never invaded the space, just let us enjoy our vacay! Very quick to answer and so so nice, had everything readily available in the house as well! We will definitely return :)

We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend away. The space was immaculate and we felt right at home. Zachary was an attentive host who responded to our needs but also gave us space to relax. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

Exactly as described! Great cottage vibes and has a bbq. Could not drink the tap water but a water cooler is provided which was perfect.

Awesome stay

10/10, would highly recommend! The view is gorgeous! We loved watching the sunsets every night. The beds were all comfortable. There was plenty of linen. We loved that it was out of the city and in a quiet community. Five minutes from Peggy’s Cove, so still a variety of restaurants to eat at. Keep in mind, because it’s a small community, everything closes early. Hosts were fantastic. We never saw them, but they were very helpful and proactive. We referred to the house binder regularly for dining ideas, hikes, and house guide. We appreciated the thorough instructions. It’s probably the best bnb we’ve ever stayed at!

Our weekend at Bunkie Land was absolutely fantastic. So many good things to say about our experience there. The hosts exceeded our expectations at all levels in terms of amenities, facilities, cleanliness. The heat pump in the accommodation was a big plus, just like the spotless washrooms, with hot water shower. The small appliances were definitely very helpful and convenient coupled with the supplied tea bags, coffee, and other supplies. Having access to uninterrupted wifi while being surrounded by trees and nature, helped us to stay in touch with our closed ones and work while enjoying the nature. The fireplace outside was our favourite spot to relax and enjoy a hot beverage with the sound of water flowing in the stream and the wind in the trees. This place was built to make others feel at home with its coziness and comfort. Overall, we were very satisfied with everything at BunkieLand. We will definitely go back some time soon and will 100% recommend it to others. Thank

Took an impromptu trip to NS for the weekend and lucked out with a vacancy at the Lakeside Lookout cabin. Very quiet, peaceful and serene surroundings made our stay more than enjoyable, topped off with a clean and welcoming cabin. Interested to see all the other things that they will build and do with this property. Will return in the future for sure.

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more tranquil spot to unwind and digital detox from the rest of the hectic world! Danny has created a little slice of heaven for you to enjoy and we lived in the moment every second we were there. Our Bunkie had all the proper tools and appliances, just the bare necessities which is all that’s needed when you’re nestled into the forest! Everything was SUPER clean, and we really loved the fir pit and the incredible top-of-the-line hot tub! We WILL be back!!

This is our third time staying at Porters Peak and we love it every time! We’ve stayed in the tents, camping area and now this chalet. Very private, has everything you need to get away and unplug with your family. Beautiful spot.
