Beachfront holiday rentals in Half Moon Bay

I could live here! The place was sunny, comfortable, adorably decorated, felt spacious, extremely soft sheets, pillows, mattress, and perfect size for the 2 of us. I wish I could have stayed longer! Oh, that reminds me - I asked for a late checkout so I could and they let me stay until 5pm. It was greatly appreciated and wonderful!

We had a lovely time at Yan Fang’s place, the location was perfect - we walked to the beach almost every day! It was also convenient to have the Muni metro stop right at the end of the street, we rode the Muni all over town (inexpensive and easy!). The house was clean and comfortable and Yan Fang included extra snacks and kitchen items for us, which was nice. We loved our time here and would recommend.

Very nice, comfortable place. Nice little market less than a block away, and plenty of things to see and do in the area. We'd definitely stay here again.

This was a fantastic Airbnb find - my wife, my golden retriever and I were extremely happy to have stayed at April's place. The photos are true to the space, with lots of European influence and big enough for all of us. Even the tissue paper holder in the room was unique! The little touches around the space show someone who has thought out the entire layout of the space. The bathroom was incredible and spa like, the bed the right firmness, and we had a very restful stay here before our departing flight back to Europe. My golden retriever enjoyed laying at the steps of April's place, soaking up the sunshine. April was also very responsive when we needed anything. She is kind, as is her family. We enjoyed speaking with her as well. We wished we could have stayed longer - it was very comfortable, clean, relaxing and just overall inviting. If we were to return, we would definitely seek out April's place. I would recommend anyone to stay here!

We have stayed here before and the property is beautiful. We certainly cannot beat the location! The host goes above and beyond the kitchen is stocked, not only with spices and tea, all if New York congressman, Charles the paper products you could possibly need aluminum foil, etc. Condiments are abundant. We can’t wait to go back!

Laura’s place was spot on for our short stay. Beach was a stones throw away, which is where the kids wanted to spend their time. The place was perfect, it was clean, spacious, and well equipped. Detailed instructions for the apartment to go alongside the stay and useful local information.

The complimentary cart service was a huge plus—it made it easy to take our elderly parents to the beach without any hassle. We had a wonderful short getaway at Sue’s place! The condo is just steps from the beach, pool, and jacuzzi. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was relaxing, and the ocean breeze was very refreshing. It was exactly what we needed to reset and recharge. Fantastic location and home for a family get-away. Much to see and do on site and in the local area. The home is very comfortable and welcoming with all the amenities you might need and more. Can’t wait to book again!

We had a lovely weekend with our family celebrating a birthday. The place was perfect for hosting 6 of us, walking to the beach and then driving up to Capitola and other towns very close by for celebration dinners. We enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend others to consider for a beach getaway.

This location is ideal for those who like easy access to hiking, walking, beach, pools etc. Also a short drive to Capitola, and Santa Cruz to the North. Views from the balcony are way better than the pictures. Stay here, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing views of the Pajaro River and Pacific Ocean. Short walk (300 yards) to the beach along a boardwalk or enjoy the views from the livingroom through the large picture windows or deck. Perfect for a couple or young family (the two twin beds in the second bedroom are quite small but my 20 something daughters had no complaints). Abundant bird watching opportunities along with the occasional sea lion\seal and otter.

Julieta's place is wonderful, offering an experience that goes beyond expectations. The views are absolutely breathtaking and the house itself is exceptionally spacious, meticulously clean, and thoughtfully equipped with a wealth of amenities to ensure your comfort and enjoyment.

My family of 4 had a wonderful stay! The pictures didn't do it justice - all the upgrades were well worth it and my family thoroughly enjoyed the stay there. My was very responsive and helpful. So glad we found it! Would definitely stay there again.

This is our first time in Capitola, and my husband and my twin boys enjoyed the unit and the surroundings so much! You can see the ocean view through the bedroom, grab some snacks, and sit on the balcony. Then, you can just go downstairs and walk across the street to the ocean! This unit has a private parking place, so you can just drive and park there easily. Moreover, the restaurants and the shopping store are just a one-minute walk away. All you can do is relax here!!

I had the joy of working with Kim to plan my engagement there, and she made every step seamless, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable. From vendor recommendations to her calming presence, Kim went above and beyond to help create a perfect moment. She welcomed us with such warmth—it felt like staying with family. The bungalow itself is peaceful, beautifully designed, and perfectly nestled in nature. The stunning seaside views, colorful tide pools, and sightings of whales, seals, and other wildlife made every moment feel magical. Kim’s local insight into trails, sights, and hidden gems only added to the experience. The Sea Wolf Bungalow will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and I feel incredibly grateful for the memories made there and for the chance to get to know Kim. Truly the best trip I’ve ever had. Thank you, Kim—for everything.

Ruth’s home in Moss Beach was a perfect second stop on our California road trip. Her home was immaculate and she herself was so welcoming- fresh flowers and fresh sour dough bread. We loved walking the trail out to the beach and there were even baby seal pups to watch, Ruth graciously left us some binoculars and a map to help find them. We enjoyed the quiet and convenient location to several spots in the area- Muir Woods, Carmel, 17 Mile Drive etc. Our only complaint is we wish we had more time. Thank you for a wonderful and restful home to stay in.

The listing is a great location right next to beach access. The space had more than enough bedrooms and bathroom with a laundry room. It has a tankless water heater so hot water is infinite.

My mom and I had such a great time here! We enjoyed our time away for mother’s day weekend. It was very peaceful and the hosts have great taste and are very thoughtful in what they provide at this location. My only issue was that the neighbor left their dog outside all night and my mom had to sleep with me because the dog was crying all night. We tried to use the fire pit at night and unfortunately weren’t able to because the dog kept trying to hop the fence and we barking. Other than that it’s a great location and the stay was super peaceful and we loved all the decor!
