Talk about Northern California paradise, Graeme's place is so beautiful and so relaxing. It is a bit of a drive from the 101 but so worth it for the peace and quiet; slept better than I have in months. Trees forever; well supplied kitchen--you can cook anything as plenty of pots/pans, utensils. Books and games for kids and adults; we had 3 generations with us and everyone hated to leave.

What a great time we had!Maureen is such a wonderful host and an absolute gem of a human being. This is a place for animal lovers and lovers of nature. We were greeted by the most friendly cat, dogs and horses I've ever met. The quaint house we stayed in has a view of the horse pasture and is just a short walking distance to a stream with a deep swimming hole. Lots of shade trees and flowering native lilies surround the house. Great kitchen with everything you need to make meals from local ingredients that we bought at the farmers market. We spent a day exploring out past Petrolia to the coast and out to Whitethorn to a well known mill known for its abundance of wood slabs and every configuration and type of local wood you could imagine. Pro-tip, the store also has a cafe that serves up an amazing espresso milk shake! Thank you Maureen, you made our stay so special, we'll never forget your kindness.

The Treehouse is the perfect place to stay while visiting Mendocino. The location is close to town but still in the forest area giving it the best of both worlds for vacationers. Immaculate, inviting modern decor, every amenity you could want in your own home, outside spa, comfy porch seating, etc. adds to its charm. Would highly recommend this home with no exceptions! Truly made our time in this area extra special.

LOVE this spot. The wood fire pizza oven was fun (you might wanna review some tutorials online on using this type of oven, bring a couple doughs). The land was gorgeous. The bath was a top 5 bathing experience of life for me, really cool under the redwood grove. if you are a bath lover, this experience is a must. This is an off grid location so be prepared for no phone access and to properly internalize directions on how to use things (generator, plumbing, compost toliet). Also if you're bringing pets keep a close eye, you are in nature, I saw a coyote and was glad to have my two small dogs close to put inside for a minute. Thank you!

Jacob’s cabin was exactly as listed. Accurate description of amenities and clear instructions on how to get to the cabin. It’s a small space, but it has just what you need for a short stay. Service was spotty but internet was always fast and reliable. The furnace they provided kept the cabin warm. The mini fridge and microwave were nice additions. I wasn’t a fan of the outdoor shower (a personal preference honestly) but my boyfriend enjoyed it. The shower felt private enough, and there was no shortage of hot water. However keep in mind there is no light at the shower late at night - we came in late one night past 11pm and it was very dark, so we had to use a flashlight. Another night we showered closer to 9pm and there was a light on near the floor - so perhaps they turn off the light past a certain time? But I recommend bringing a flashlight just in case. Also there are no blackout shades (just regular ones) so if you’re sensitive to the light I recommend an eye mask!

This home is one in a million for the location - view , view, view, with flowers galore on Memorial Day weekend. I am sooooo glad we spent our 30th anniversary there and celebrated our son's birthday. The layout is very open and beautiful, with spacious decks on all three levels. Guests should know it has rather an unusual access to the one full bath which is through the queen bedroom on the second level. The half bath is accessible to all on the first floor which is very helpful. We let the birthday boy (35) have the master bed on the third level so we could have the privacy of the queen bed in the second bedroom. Our adult daughter really enjoyed the low ceilinged attic room -- her own quite large hide away with its own door off the master area. This home is really special and was perfect for us. The art studio right on the top of the cliffs will be the icing on the cake when it's renovations are completed! Michelle and her crew met all of our needs!
