Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Gunnison County

We loved the location and enjoyed the wildlife. We had deer in the backyard and ducks in the river. The backyard was a peaceful place to relax and there was plenty of seating outside. The house was very clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and not too far from restaurants. This was a great place to stay!

Stayed here for a few nights as a family of 4 with two children under 10. Worked out great for us, with the full kitchen and additional bedroom. Short drive to Copper Mt so we didn’t have to deal with I70 traffic. Found the history of the house and buildings in the back very interesting. Would stay here again.

Good location close to town and Hartmans. Really nice outdoor space. Great for dogs with fenced in back yard. We cooked 2 nights- the kitchen is well stocked.

The place was incredibly well stocked with anything one might want: coffee, coffee making equipment, cooking equipment, nice shampoos and soaps and such. How well it was stocked and maintained made it feel like a hotel. The hot tub worked and the location was bright and scenic. What a wonderful weekend.

Cute little house 1 1/2 blocks from Main Street. Perfect for a quick weekend getaway. Fully stocked kitchen. Loved the fold out table in the living room to play board games. Overall a nice place to stay.

Joshua's place was exactly as expected. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a nice dinner. The beds were very clean and comfortable. The front porch was a lovely place to spend the morning. My spouse is a long time Deadhead and he really enjoyed the framed posters.

Really enjoyed our stay here - home was spotless, had well equipped kitchen with spices, coffee, tea, cookware. Appreciated the hairdryer on hand too! Enough room for us all to spread out, and beds were super comfortable, with tons of great pillows. Great Mexican restaurant nearby for dinner, close to an awesome disc golf course as well, enjoyed coffee on the bench in the backyard in the morning. We would want to stay here any time we’re in Leadville for sure!

Great place and wonderful host. Location is wonderful and works great once you figure out the bus/shuttle system. A couple tips: 1) Getting to/from the mountain to ski is easy - Crystal Road mountain shuttle leaves from the house every 30 minutes and takes you to Mountaineer Square. Pickup spot is very close to the house. 2) Getting to the town of Crested Butte is a bit more work if you don't have a car. You must catch the ski shuttle to Mountaineer Square then catch the town shuttle (which leaves every 15 minutes). Hope this helps with your planning.

GREAT LOCATION. Park your car and enjoy easy walking to the best restaurants and stores. You're 1 block from the bus stop to get the ski area. That's awesome. The house is setup perfectly for a nice ski vacation. Highly recommended.

Great location to town & the mountains. Beautiful views & very clean, comfortable place. They have a covered area for parking on site & easy to unload & access unit. Would highly recommend.

We loved this place. It’s so easy to take the bus to Snowmass, the stop is right out front. You can walk to the grocery and the local pizza place. We loved the vibe of the place too.

Place was great. Right by base, and super clean. Didn’t need to inquire with host about anything as they were proactive in providing all needed instructions. Can’t wait to go back

Amazing location, close to mountain base and ski valet made the trip extremely easy. Very kid friendly and pool/hot tub was a great treat at the end of the day.

We enjoyed staying at Erins place. The condo was very nice and conveniently located for skiing.

Great location. We never used our car once we got there. The free shuttle was fabulous they dropped us off right at the gondola at Ajax and picked us up, we walked the 3 blocks each night to dinner in town which was fabulous. Bathtub was nice and big with plenty of hot water and my husband enjoyed the hot tub numerous times. Bed was comfy. Thanks Daniel!

We had a great stay at Kara's place. It is in an excellent location—1 minute to the ski/town bus. Also, it is perfectly walkable to town in the evening without ski equipment. Two good-sized rooms and a lovely living area. The well-stocked kitchen made us feel right at home. The host was friendly and helpful. Fabulous views and overall I highly recommend it!

My family stayed at the cabin for Christmas and loved our time there. Getting there was easy because of the clear directions provided. We maxed out the capacity between adults, a 1 year old and 2 dogs but the lofted master and open 3rd floor loft weren’t an issue since we were all awake at the same time. The main floor was perfect - we cooked all our meals there, ate together at the dining table and all hung out comfortably in the living room, they even had a tree & garland up for the holidays which was nice. A few things to note if planning to cook, the dishwasher is in rough shape and doesn’t clean all the way so we had to hand wash dishes when we arrived as well as throughout the stay. The freezer doesn’t quite stay cold so we had ice cream & ice cubes that melted. Overall it was a beautiful area and communication with Barb & David was great, they were so responsive before, during & after. We’re so happy we chose to stay here & made such fun memories as a family.

My husband and I stayed at S. Lumberyard for one night and had a lovely experience overall. The place was super cute and impeccably clean, which made for a very comfortable stay. I especially appreciated how conveniently located it was—just a short distance from downtown, great restaurants, and scenic trails. The views were absolutely beautiful, adding a peaceful touch to the visit. The only downside was that the TV didn’t work, as it kept showing an error message. It wasn’t a major issue for me, but worth noting for future guests. All in all, I’d definitely recommend S. Lumberyard for a cozy and well-situated getaway!

Our family of four loved staying at Bill's place. We wanted a private, off-the-grid rental with easy access to a fishable river/creek and beautiful surroundings. Bill's place was just that. We loved hiking the property -- there's a beautiful, property trail that goes about a mile through meadows & towards the mountains. The stars at night were unbeatable. My kids loved floating in the creek across the street, and we loved fishing there & also driving about 5 minutes away where we had a good river access & caught lots of gorgeous rainbow trout. The kitchen is stocked with things like sugar, oils, seasoning & some dry goods people have left. Lots of utensils and plates & a great grill & smoker outside. The place is surrounded by cute chipmunks and deer - fun for our kids. One FYI is that there are two Airbnbs on the property - the main cabin and a separate barn with an apartment (which we hadn't realized) but wasn't an issue - other than that, you'll be alone if that's what you want!

We had a wonderful winter time stay. The cabin was incredibly well stocked which made the snow-machine access only so easy and less stressful. very comfy and cozy. I don't have a single recommendation on how it could be improved. hope to have the opportunity to stay again!

John and his ranch were both absolutely perfect. So impressed - house was clean and well equipped with towels, firewood, pantry supplies, and anything we could ever need. Not to mention the best stars we’ve ever seen from the hot tub!!!You can tell John really pays attention to the details that make a trip special and make people feel at home. The property is absolutely stunning and we couldn’t have had a better time. Thank you John!

Due to low competition and a decent price point compared to competition this place does well. I would rate it 3-4 stars based on just the mere location. The rating goes to 4-5 with the view you don’t get in Denver and the hot tub. Negatives- right off the highway so your heart rate goes up entering and leaving. There’s no shampoo just some cheap dollar store soap which I guess you can use for shampoo. Up to you.. bring your own if you want. Not really a tranquille mountain getaway as there’s a cabin infront of your nice Mountain View(not shown in the photos) and the sound of the highway outside. Positives- Hot tub with nice Mountain View’s, which make you forget about the highway noise and hopefully you fill it with good conversation with whoever you’re with. The prairie dogs scurrying around out back are cute. Conclusion- I have to say the hot tub saved it. Keep the hot tub maintained and people will be happy.

This stay was exactly what EVERYONE in my family needed! It was perfect for all ages. We had ages ranging from 52-1! The surroundings were amazing. The bird & animals lovers were amazed, the outdoorsmen were impressed, the teens were chilled, the pregnant mama was refreshed, and the baby was busy! The kitchen was perfect for our family who cooked way more than usual! The porches renewed the group every evening. Thank you for the knowledge of the area! This house is truly beautiful and special.
