Edwin the site manager was the best person we met since arriving to Zanzibar. A true gentleman and extremely genuine which can be hard at times to find when traveling. He felt like a friend and was the best host we have had through Airbnb. Would book again!

We lived our stay at the White House cottage. It exceeded our expectations and we would love to return. We are a family of four and it was perfect. The staff was so warm and helpful. Definitely hire the local chef recommendation. We had delicious food in the convenience of our own veranda looking at the ocean. The location right on the beach with the private, expansive grounds was perfect. The house has incredible views and is extremely comfortable. I highly recommend. If you have a big group, try to rent the White House next door and have an amazing holiday with family or friends.

We enjoyed our stay here so much! Beautiful, clean, homely space with amazing staff members who made sure we were always comfortable. Also, the chef’s food, so so good! Can’t wait to be back!

Just got back from an awesome stay at Lucita Garden House! Vicky is a fantastic host—great communication and super understanding. The staff are amazing; you feel their presence and support without even seeing them, which adds to the whole relaxing vibe. The location is perfect—easy to find and incredibly peaceful. The space was super comfortable, and the adorable pets around the house were a nice bonus. I initially booked for one night but ended up extending my stay because I just didn’t want to leave! I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a chill getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely Airbnb! The space is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The garden and pool area are perfect for unwinding. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything we needed, making it easy to cook at home. Check-in was flexible and hassle-free, and the host was incredibly kind, responsive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We would absolutely love to come back :-)

We had a lovely time in Susie’s place. Brilliant location, large pool, friendly staff. Communication was excellent, with a great information packet provided in advance. Highly recommended.

Our family really enjoyed our visit to Fleur’s place! The main home is unique and features many interesting decorative items. The surroundings are extremely tranquil, lush and relaxing. We even changed our plans one day so that we could enjoy the home and all that it offered. Peter, Theo and their dogs often popped in to check on us. The horses also meandered around the large patio area as we played board games. We would recommend staying there if you’re ever in the area!

The villa was beautiful . Amazing staff . Levis went above and beyond . He was always happy to help us . The chef Fondo’s food was a brilliant. we enjoy every meal he produced.

The beach cottage was absolutely amazing. My mum and I had an amazing three nights and we loved every second of it. The cottage is right next to the beach but the best beaches are about 10mins walk and another is about 10mins with the uber boats. Julius and Fondo made us delicious Swahili meals and their hospitality was top notch. Lamu is nothing like any other beaches in Kenya…it’s a must visit!

It was one of the best staycations my wife and I have ever had. The staff was amazing in assisting us with anything we needed and the ambience as well as serene experience was worth every penny! I would recommend it to anyone seeking a special place with their special someone! Views of Mt Kenya and the open night sky with some burning fire overlooking the expanse are the cream on the cake! Lastly, Sean was awesome! Hope to come back some day!

Wow I don’t even know where to start! This was truly one of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed in Zanzibar. As an Airbnb property this one completely exceeded my expectations. It offers amazing value for money.I had such a peaceful time watching the sunset and listening to the sound of the waves. As for the kids words can’t even describe it they had the time of their lives, especially enjoying the infinity pool. I only wish we had booked a longer stay, but unfortunately, it was time to head home. I will definitely be coming back to this home away from home. Having visited Zanzibar several times, I can confidently say that it’s hard to find a place like this near town with full AC, reliable WiFi, fully equipped kitchen. We even made lovely breakfasts for the kids. Bonus: it’s just 5 mins from the airport and only 15 mins to Stone Town. Truly worth every penny.And as for Mohammed what a kind gentleman. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I recommend this

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful cabin by Lake Kivu! The views were absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the lake every morning felt like a dream. The cabin itself was spotless and incredibly well-kept, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. But the highlight for me was definitely the fireplace — it added the perfect cozy touch and quickly became my favorite part of the whole experience. Whether you’re looking to relax, unwind, or just soak in the peaceful surroundings, this place is a gem. Highly recommend and would love to come back!

Mohan and the housekeepers really welcomed us with open arms. From the moment of our arrival, they were very happy to settle us in and attend to our needs. The treehouse was perfectly located within the leafy suburbs of Lavington in driving proximity to various tourist attractions, making it an ideal place to stay. The space was unique, surrounded by greenery with a beautiful tree in the centre. The kitchen was well-stocked and the overall layout was spacious. The bathroom was clean with warm water for shower. There is access to a beautiful, well-kept garden, tended to by Mohan himself. Travelling as two young women, we felt very safe and looked after. It strikes the perfect balance between nature and city. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with a easy access to the city centre !

The first thing I did when I arrived at Eddy's was facetime my family to give them a tour - the place is absolutely stunning. From the spacious and airy bedrooms to the rooftop terraces, this home is perfectly designed. Moreover, the staff were communicative and ensured our stay was comfortable. I would come back in a heartbeat.

What a beautiful beautiful place. The pictures don’t do the house justice and Tiwi is a beach that is still as gorgeous as it was 30 years ago. No beach boys, no grief just lovely people everywhere. We snorkelled, swam in the pool, swam in the sea, played on the beach, rock pool hunted on the reef. Saw amazing starfish, moray eel, box fish and 3 types of sea hare as well as the “usual stuff”. We missed turtles hatching by 24 hours, but watched one come up to lay her eggs . The perfect place to spend a few days with the family chilling, talking and reconnecting. The verandah at the front is the best hub place. Then food - Anthony creates magic in the kitchen. Fresh fish, fruit and his tempura squid with coriander and soy sauce was delish. Fred the taxi driver is great and as a mixed family of 6 we could be as active and busy or not as we chose. The best way to end a trip to Kenya and as a previous resident it was perfect -Asante Tanya xx

My family had a wonderful 4 nights staying at Margo’s property - very private, very large functional bedrooms with fans, air conditioning and private ensuites, plus a separate fully self contained 3rd bedroom. A beautiful pool, 24 hour security onsite, daily house cleaning by Ester. And the dogs were super friendly and great company. If you like football, pack your boots and enjoy a game with the locals on the pitch next door. If you like tapas or just really good food - recommend having dinner at “ To Be” which is approx 1km from Margo’s. Couldn’t find fault with the accommodation or the lovely Margo as a wonderful host, who was available, responsive but also gave us total privacy.

Very nice house right at the beach in Kiwengwa. Very well equipped and clean. Teresa was so kind and helpful. The road that leads to the airbnb is a little bumpy. We really enjoyed our stay, the only negative point was the wifi. I‘m not sure if this was just in our case but it‘s very poor and sometimes not working at all. This is something that could be improved!

This is a stunning home get-a-way nestled in a tranquil compound. It has lots of natural light and the option of enjoying the breeze from the surroundings (with the ceiling fan on for the upstairs rooms) or utilizing the air conditioning if desired. It is just as described in the details and more stunning and peaceful to be there! I loved that it was just a short walk from the house to the pool or beach! Along the magnificent beach there are wonderful restaurants to dine at. Margaret made the check-in process and the stay seamless and relaxing. Any questions that arose were responded to in a timely and courteous manner. Look forward to a longer stay next time!

The house was beautiful and modern (with fresh fruit on arrival), Rainer is readily available for any queries, Paolo was an incredible help and 15 minutes from the beach. However, this is in a rural part of Zanzibar but all in all our stay was fantastic in Rainer's home.

Simply this place is heaven on earth, Damien and his team were an excellent I’m support and communication We had stayed in the yellow house for one night, i wish we had more time to stay more but will definitely come back again Highly recommended and their attention to details is really impressive

We had a wonderful 4 nights stay with family of 5. The owner responded quickly, send us very detailed information of all you need to know and arranged pick up at Mombasa airport. The staff is very friendly, helpful and at the same time gives you privacy. Reuben the chef provided us splendid meals, we especially enjoyed all the fresh seafood!Recommended is to do shopping before arrival because bigger supermarkets are 40 minutes drive away. Fruits, vegetables, water, fish, soda’s are easy to get in the village but for more luxurious groceries you have to go to the bigger supermarkets. You can book the pick up from the airport with a shopping stop in Nyali. Neen Tree is a lovely family house with marvellous view and direct access to the ocean. A friendly monkey family lives on the property and are fun to watch. Besides the pool we loved going snorkelling on the rif using the equipment from the house. For transport we used Tsuma with a comfortable 7 seater which we used for a Kilifi trip.
