Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Great Rift Valley

Amazing place! If you're looking for a calm stay away from the most touristic areas this is it. Lovely decorated and close to a perfectly empty beach. We really loved it, hope to be back soon. Can totally recommend this place especially for families.

Al Nisaa Hotel and Spa was a pleasant surprise in Jinja, with great service and outstanding spa services. It is a small boutique style hotel with clean and spacious rooms, one of which had a tub, which I booked. The room with a tub does face the street, so there is traffic and mosque noise early in the morning. The rest of the rooms are in a separate building adjacent to the main building but further away from the street, so much quieter. I had several massages and the quality of therapist was excellent. The staff helped with food and activities. Would definitely choose to come back.

We loved staying here! The accommodations are comfortable, peaceful and great for the price! The food is delicious and you’ll be stuffed full the entire time! I’ve been traveling and living around Tanzania for almost 8 years. I can say this is some of the best home cooked food I’ve ever had! If you are needing to stay near the airport, this is the best option!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Quartier très calme situé près des ministères mais aussi de restaurants sympas. Judith est accueillante, disponible et très arrangeante, ce qui est très appréciable. La chambre est très propre et grande. Le petit déjeuner inclus est délicieux et copieux. Secrets was absolutely amazing! Our host was very communicative, and even helped book our excursion. We had breakfast included every day, and even had several dinners here as well. Their chefs are top notch, and so kind. All staff are very kind, and the host Ssempa is also very kind. I cannot recommend this place enough!! We felt extremely safe, and very at home. We had the most amazing time in Entebbe, and even took a two day trek to Murchison falls with Littlerock Safaris, and were able to leave our belongings while gone on the trek. Everything about Ssempas chalets is complete safety, and so welcoming. I would stay here a million times over. Her family is lovely and her staff very attentive and kind. The rooms are just as described, comfy, clean and feels like home. The restaurant is so lovely, and the food was delicious and made with love! Ever have a fresh avocado off a tree? Well, you will here. And they’re to die for. I wish I could go on and on, but I’m out of space. Stay here!

Our 2-night stay at Amu house was a dream. We were specifically interested in staying in Lamu's Old Town in contrast with accommodations in the more touristy resort-studded area of Shela, and we were not disappointed! Between wandering the local alleys filled with locals of all ages and donkeys, relaxing at night on the roof with views of boats in the harbor, surrounded by the sounds of the Ramadan prayers, we felt totally immersed in the unique, rich Swahili culture of Lamu Island. And this is to say nothing of the beautiful, comfortable, spacious accommodations of Amu house! Check-in was a breeze: Mohammed Aweso from Amu house met us promptly at the airport, where he led us on a short boat ride and a 3 min walk to the house. After a quick tour of the house, Mohammed offered to arrange any number of excursions and activities for us throughout our stay. We took up on his offer for a walking tour of Old Town, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We can't wait to return again!

Jamey's place is a very nice option for those who would like to stay in Kibera and experience this remarkable place. I was accommodated in a private one-bedroom apartment on the second floor. The place was nice and clean, with a kitchen, bathroom and a small living room. The walls have bits of artistic decoration here and there, also some furniture items like chairs and a table come from local artisans, which makes it all look mory cozy and accommodating. Patrick, my host and Jamey's friend, was helpful and welcoming. Recommended.

Eine wirklich süße Unterkunft. Die Besitzer sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Lage ist sehr ruhig und friedlich. Wir waren insgesamt 8 Tage hier zu Gast und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstück war jeden Tag anders, immer mit einem Teller frischem Obst und gutem Kaffee. Das Wasser in der Dusche ist etwas salzig aber nichts worüber man sich beschweren sollte. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und kommen gern wieder.

When I am in Moshi, I look forward to the peace and community and comfort here. It’s walkable to downtown and you can feel Kili peering down at you. Staff is responsive and supportive. Stay here!…unless I want to book a room. 😊

Vi boede 3 nætter hos Oslo Gardens. Det ligger 5 kilometer fra byen men til gengæld skønt ned til søen og tæt på bådene, hvis du fx vil ud at se shoebill. Vi boede både på et værelse og i lejligheden og kan virkelig anbefale det sidste. Personalet meget venligt og hjælpsomt, og vi havde mange gode snakke med Steinar. Skøn og velplejet have. Vi vil komme tilbage

Sunset Lab was just perfect. Right on the beach, yet very private with the garden and restaurant to hide behind. The rooms was comfortable and spacious with mozi nets and plenty of cupboard space. Mateo was extremely friendly and helpful. His pizzas are the best I have ever eaten. Proper Italian pizza. A perfect spot to watch the sun go down with a margarita drink and margarita pizza! All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I look forward to staying again when Mateo has put in the pool!

I'd suggest you book at least three days to fully enjoy the house and the area. The views are amazing and the air is so fresh and crisp. The house fits right in with its amazing architecture and decor.

Jos is very welcoming and did her best to make us comfortable and was very responsive. Her place feels like home as it has an openness to it that makes you feel like you’re visiting a relative or old friend

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Nora's. The room was very clean and the bathroom is very spacious with 2 large windows. The breakfast is very filling and delicious. The only con was that the wifi didn't work properly in the room. So if you wann get good reception you'll have to sit in the common area or around the pool. which was absolutely fine for me. The poolside is very relaxing and quiet.

Wir haben eine Nacht in der Unterkunft von Khalid verbracht und waren sehr zufrieden. Das Zimmer sah genauso aus wie auf den Fotos, hatte eine Klimaanlage und liegt auf der 3. Etage. Die Lage ist perfekt um Stone Town zu erkunden. Das große Highlight war die Dachterrasse, bei der man einen tollen Blick über die Stadt hat. Alle Mitarbeiter waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt!

I enjoyed my stay, a very peaceful neighborhood and accessible to nearby stores. The host was very kind and the hospitality amazed me, would definitely booked again next time in Kigali. Highly recommended!
