Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Great Baddow

Our group of six—two adults, one young adult, and three teenagers—had a very comfortable stay at Lesley’s lovely home. It, indeed, felt very much like a home and not just a rental property. There was ample space for all of us, and it was great to have three toilets and two showers. The location is superb—a short walk to coffee, restaurants, and the riverfront, which we enjoyed strolling along in the evening. A great place for a larger group to stay in Wivenhoe!

We enjoyed our overnight stay at the studio. The space was welcoming and clean. I would have preferred a larger bed but it was comfortable. Just a matter of taste. Breakfast was a nice touch.

me and my sister stayed here to celebrate my sisters birthday and Chloes cottage was absolutely the perfect choice, the whole place was stunning and was in such an ideal little village. the place was spotless and had everything we might have needed to enjoy our stay. Would highly recomend visiting Ickworth estate too which is only a 20 minute drive away!

A wonderful house in beautiful surroundings. It also had that more difficult to attain "presence", with each room allowing you to relax and experience its homeliness and history. The whole family (6 adults and 2 grandchildren) thoroughly enjoyed our stay to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. No-one really wanted to leave. Waking up to see the expanse of manicured gardens from bedroom windows and breakfast room was a calming relaxing pleasure. Plenty of walks available, and the walk to the local pub for an evening meal was safe and easy along quiet country roads. Would certainly recommend.

We returned to this accomodation after staying in it a couple of years ago as we really appreciated the flexible check in and how beautiful the location/ barn were. Extremely peaceful area and very clear instructions on how to find/ get in - would highly recommend.

Fantastic stay with my family. We have outgrown a caravan holiday and this was absolutely perfect for us. Private but with neighbours. Very relaxing. Wonderful to have a fully functional kitchen with all you need to cook breakfast, lunch or dinner! Hidden treasure!

We enjoyed 10 lovely days at Florence's place. We were having such a great time that we would have been happy to stay even longer. Our sweet dog enjoyed the garden and the surrounding walks in the countryside. The house was clean and had everything that we needed to have a restful sleep, to work on our laptop, to prepare meals, to relax in the sitting room or to enjoy the outdoors in the pretty garden. The parking space was appreciated as well. Florence is an excellent host and we highly recommend her accommodations.

Absolutely perfect stay in a beautiful area. The house was spotless and even bigger than the photos show! It was perfect for 4 adults and my 16 month old daughter. Stuart sent great instructions through and loads of information about the local area, although we actually loved the house and grounds so much that we didn’t venture any further - we had a lovely few relaxing days in the house and walks around the woodland. My daughter even got to feed the goats. Will definitely come back, and will do a summer visit too as the pool looked beautiful.

Good accommodation in a beautiful area, very quiet, perfect for a " getaway." Accommodation was very clean.

How to start?? I would highly recommend Charles' place! When you get there and go up the stairs, you might think it's not going to be good. However, when you open the door you'll be taken back as to how beautiful his place is!! I felt right at home! Charles had wine, milk, OJ, bread and eggs. The sleigh bed was not only comfy but so pretty. He had great darkening curtains which also serve as a divider from the living room. The shower was welcoming. If I come back to London, I'd stay at Charles' place!

What can I say. Other than simply perfect. Natalie and Peter went truly above and beyond. The place was decorated so nicely for my 30th birthday. Everywhere was clean, and simply breath taking. Nothing was too much, I even had a blister and Natalie went and got me some plasters. The yurt is stunning, the little Annex you get with it was so lovely just to chill and watch tv in. The outdoor bath was perfect to sit and chill and look up at the stars. I’ve never experienced an air BnB like I did this weekend, it was one of a kind. I definitely will be going back! X

they just checked all the boxes - clean, quiet, but great location, easy check-in.. great for business travel. the common spaces are fantastic, highly recommended

This was our second visit to the Lighthouse and it still is an amazing place, from the panoramic sea views to a lovely warm inviting home. A dip in the pool before breakfast, sitting with a coffee watching the seascape, as far as Essex and beyond, sunsets and so much more. I will make the same comment as I did last, this goes for the whole of our party across 3 generations and the dogs, the only bad thing about the Lighthouse is having to leave. Hopefully this will not be our last visit.

Perfect stay for a birthday break! Little Gem had everything you need for a restful break. The property feels big due to all of the natural light. The hot tub was incredible - best hot tub I’ve ever used!! So worth the stay and lovely host!

Very clean and cosy place. Perfect for one or two people. Three of us stayed one night after a wedding and it was easy to get to and comfortable. The main bed has a great mattress and nice clean linen. The pull out bed was fine for a night, quite firm. We were lucky to get a parking spot which made it easier as there are 3 off road parking spots associated with the premises which appears to be a first come first serve basis, but we timed it well. The roads all around are permit parking and busy, which can be expected from how central to Chelmsford it is. The host was very helpful and flexible, great response times and happy to answer questions. We’d happily stay again.

I enjoyed my stay immensely, the local pub across the way a short op seconds stroll has an exceptional range of high quality food, serves by really friendly staff. If I ever need to be back in this part of the UK I shall certainly be seeking to return to this apartment.

We love the house, beautiful back yard with BBQ facilities connected with a spacious kitchen / dinner area. The whole family enjoyed the stay. Peftect local, very close driving distance to chlemsford City center where you can find all kind of supermarkets, Restaurant and shopping Malls.

We attended a wedding at Stock Brook Manor Golf Club, and the location for Little Pear tree was perfect about a 4min drive. Our host was very hospitable. He gave clear instructions and information on getting to the location before hand which was great. The cottage was gorgeous and had everything we needed. It was very clean with a stylish decor. I would highly recommend for all the reasons above and so much more. We had a very lovely time
