Cottage holiday rentals in Grand Traverse County

We had an amazing time at Salma’s big beautiful cottage! It’s like something out of a dream. The cottage itself is very beautifully designed with lots of wooden features & accents both within the interior and exterior. We fell in love with its beauty. It’s super spacious inside and has everything you need for a dreamy cottage weekend. The outdoor hot tub with string lights were a very cute touch! The large property is nestled within a lovely outdoor wooded area that feels far away from busy life but is actually only 15-20 minutes away from most local Traverse city places! So it makes for a great location that is best of both worlds. The cottage was very clean and it was very easy to spend the day lounging around in and then enjoy its cozy nature in the evenings. Salma was very kind and easy to communicate with! She was a wonderful host. We really loved staying here and would love to return someday. This is a true one of kind gem and I’m sure you’d make some wonderful memories here too.

Responsive and hospitable, Gorgeous lake views, great accommodations, including hot tub, bicycles, kayaks, fire pit, renovated kitchen. Private and peaceful. Easy access to downtown Ell Rapids.

Omg, I don’t have the words for how awesome this place is. First, it is exactly what you see in the pictures and more. Second, it’s not far from anything and third, it’s so peaceful. I could get lost in pure bliss there. Weather I was in the hot tub, the porch, at the table on the deck, the fire pit, the dock, or even just sitting on the beach collecting rocks. Absolute Heaven. I’ve even told the rest of my family that next time we go to Michigan, we’re going to Traverse City and we’re staying at this house. Absolutely amazing. Thank you so much. Thank you!

This was such a cute cabin to stay at for our annual visit to Traverse City. Host was extremely responsive and friendly, and the cabin itself was cozy, clean, and welcoming. Only a 10-15 minute drive to the main road of Traverse City. The property was gorgeous and all the lake amenities made exploring so fun (there also were lots of deer roaming around!) Although it is listed in the bottom of the listing, is it worth sharing that the beach/lake access is shared with another cabin. Luckily for us, there was little overlap, but I could see privacy being an issue otherwise if you are looking for a truly remote cabin. In any case, I would certainly recommend this property and speak highly of my stay!

Cute little beach house! Home was very clean and owners were very responsive/helpful. A short 30 minute drive to Traverse City and a few local restaurants with good food and friendly staff. The kids loved the water slide and paddle boat!

It was beautiful place. We enjoyed the private backyard. It was nice and cozy. John was great host. We will be back next year.

We had an amazing stay! The space was exactly as described - clean, stylish, and cozy. It was an ideal location, close enough to shops, restaurants, and trails, but still tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful. Would recommend!

For a group of 4 "mature" women, this home was perfect. We each had our own bedroom and easily shared 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked. The house is VERY clean. The location is beautiful in a quiet neighborhood. It was easy to get to Traverse City. Be aware that there are small signs around the house to help you use electricity, heating,/cooling,,TV, WiFi, etc. Audrey was alway quickly responsive to my messages. I highly recommend this airbnb.

We loved this place! Jake was very accommodating and friendly. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. Plus we got to have our 2 dogs! The location was beautiful and outside of town but close enough! We will be back! Thanks Jake for everything! Sincerely Vicki and Ray Johnson

Amazing location right on Lake Michigan! Private beach; seriously so peaceful. This was our second year in a row here and we will be back again!

We had an amazing stay! While the weather was a colder Memorial Day weekend than usual, the lake was as beautiful as ever. We traveled with three small ones and two dogs, and everyone had a blast. The kitchen was fully stocked and even had ziploc bags and plastic containers for leftovers. There was plenty of space for everyone inside and the owners were so accommodating, bringing extra sheets and firewood down for us. This place was so wonderful, I even looked at renting it again later in the summer. This is such a great deal and located in the perfect spot. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful location, beautiful accommodations. Mother Nature didn’t cooperate with our winter outdoor plans but the cozy cabin allowed us to adapt. We will be back!

Cute, cozy cottage for our trip to northern Michigan for the ICEMAN MTB race. House was well stocked (Bluetooth music speakers, laundry soap, plenty of towels and extra blankets). We enjoyed our stay and of the three houses we stayed in for this annual trip, this was the cleanest and most convenient location. Thank you for being pet friendly too.

We had an amazing experience at the cottage! The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet, the private dock was perfect for cooling off and taking our canoe out. Kevin and Pat were amazing hosts They left us little goodies/snacks and we had plenty of coffee, cream, sugar etc for us to enjoy on the screened in porch! The beds were super cozy and the ac unit and fans did their job when we needed them. All around we reccomend this place to anyone looking for a cozy stay in an absolutely beautiful location! We would 100% stay here again.

Had a wonderful week long stay at Joni’s place. The cottage is cozy, charming, and peaceful. It is clearly very well taken care of and had all the amenities and features we would need, and the kitchen was well stocked. Particularly enjoyed the hammock, as well as watching the sunset from the backyard!

We had an amazing stay. The teachers lounge was like a little apartment. When I got up early I had a place to have my coffee, workout and watch tv without bothering the rest of our party. Andrew was very quick to answer questions before our trip and quick to answer our concerns during our trip. Easily can walk to Torch Lake day park and to the nature preserve on grand traverse bay.

Great location, loved the beach, and the place exceeded all our expectations. We had a perfect weekend and met awesome people. Definitely will be back! Thank you so much!

Dereks place was amazing. We went for a short getaway and it was more than we were hoping for! From the views to the house itself, it was the perfect spot to relax and do some fun activities. It is such a nice little lake with rentals available and a dock at the house so you can pull right up.. The sauna was an amazing addition as well. Nothing but good things to say about this place, highly recommend if you're looking for a nice vacation spot.

Ky’s house was amazing all in all. Beautiful peaceful place right on the lake. Wonderful for a group or family to hang out. Great deck and access to the water. The sunrise over the lake was unbeatable. Not a long term issue, but there is significant construction from downtown traverse city to the location so the traffic was horrendous at most times. Just something to note for the next couple months I would imagine. Otherwise an excellent location and my family and I have a wonderful time here.

The cottage was exactly as it appeared on the listing. The beach is beautiful, although it was colder during the time of year that we went, the spot on the bay is absolutely gorgeous. The kitchen came with many of the essentials we needed for a cooking breakfast, etc. Although Evolve did not always respond on AirBnb right away, Jean was our local point of contact and did respond via text promptly!
