Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Gournes Gouvon

I came to Goves in the off season, knowing that most things would be shut, so it was important to have place that I could cook a meal and be really comfortable and really relax, and this was exactly what I got. The hosts were amazing, and so generous with the welcome package, it made the day so special. I will definitely be back. if you want to really chill, have a bit of a digital detox, get back in touch with nature then this is the place for you!

We spent wonderful and relaxing holidays in Dimitri's apartment. The apartment is fantastically beautiful and tastefully furnished, with high-quality furniture and it really lacks nothing. The terrace has a unique beautiful view of the sea and we spent many beautiful hours there. Dimitris is super friendly, always available and with helpful tips for excursions, restaurants, etc. he helped us a lot. He also organized the transfer from the airport and it worked out perfectly. The location of the apartment is also perfect. Supermarket and restaurants are within walking distance and the bus station is just across the street. We highly recommend the apartment, for us the most beautiful so far and we will gladly think back to the time and come back soon.

Korina's apartment in Kato Gouves is very spacious, bright, well-furnished, complete with all needs and very comfortable. The strength is undoubtedly the beautiful terrace where you can dine and spend unforgettable evenings in total relaxation. The surrounding area is quite quiet, ideal for families, well-stocked with all necessities: shops, supermarkets, pharmacies and many tavernas. Kato Gouves is located on a sandy coast: the beach closest to Korina's apartment is equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas and the sea is very nice and quite low, it degrades gently and is ideal for young children. On the neighboring beaches there are long shores of wonderful red sand, mostly wild, where you can practice the different water sports. Korina is a very kind and friendly innkeeper, which I recommend: she is always available and responds in a very short time for any need.

The place was so much better than we expected! So beautiful, peaceful and well decorated. I wish we could have stayed a bit longer!

We had a fantastic family stay at this place. It’s so close to a really nice beach, a bunch of good restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy - basically anything which you would need during your stay. And you can access all of these places without a car! House is very clean, perfectly equipped, cozy and well designed. WiFi is very stable, so you can use it for work if you need to. Maria was always responsive and professional. Highly recommended!

May 2025, 10 nights stay for three (2 adults, 1 toddler). Villa is really fantastic. Beautiful view of the sea and the bay. It offers plenty of space for more people (2 couples, 4-6 friends, 2 families) and for longer stays (storage space, cupboards and shelves, etc.). The furnishings correspond to the description and offer, even in the kitchen, everything you need. Our highlight was the covered terrace. Our flight was moved up at short notice. A significantly earlier check-in was no problem at all in our case. Stelios is a very friendly, helpful and dedicated host. We recommend him and his villa without reservation. Small restriction: the accommodation is a bit off the beaten track or the region is a bit scattered (mainly due to the geography of the terrain). Without your own car, it will be a bit difficult in our opinion. However, there is a free parking space directly at the house.

We can only agree with the many positive reviews. We had a great time in the beautiful mountain village – it was a special experience. Every morning we had breakfast on the roof terrace and enjoyed the tranquility. At first we thought the sea would be missing, but that wasn't the case at all. We really came to rest – walks in the area were enough for that. Actually, we planned to do more, but we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere so much that we took it easy. Nevertheless, we were traveling by car and made some nice excursions, including to the coast, where we discovered great restaurants. A vacation that will stay with us in very good memory. Very nice Airbnb in a great location walkable to the port, perfect for ferry access. Airbnb was spotless, had a nice balcony and very nice lighting features throughout. Host was quickly responsive & friendly! Thanks for a great stay

Absolutely wonderful stay! The house was modern, clean, and extremely comfortable. The bed was cozy, and we felt right at home. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals, which we enjoyed on the balcony while taking in the stunning ocean view. The location is perfect—close to great restaurants, shops, and even a market within walking distance. Having a washer on-site was also incredibly convenient for doing laundry during our stay. We had a fantastic experience and truly have nothing negative to say. We’d love to stay here again!

My husband and I spent a lovely week at Asteri Home. The house was exactly as expected and just what we wanted for our week in Crete. The kitchen was well-equipped and allowed us to make breakfasts and a some dinners at home. The main double bedroom was big enough and comfortable. The bathroom is a bit dark and the shower is quite small, but we made do. The most amazing part of the house is the huge garden overlooking the sea that has 4 sun loungers, 2 outdoor tables for dining, a BBQ and a dart board. We spent a lot of time sitting at the end of the garden enjoying the view. Véronique and Yiannis are amazing hosts. They were so helpful right from the start - arranging transport from the airport, a rental car, offering suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. Kokkini Hani is quieter than other more touristy parts of Crete we visited. We found wonderful Greek restaurants with fresh seafood everyday. The supermarket and shops are all in walking distance. A lovely place!

The place is good located, calm and not far from the restaurants and the shops. Everything was well organized and the communication with George and Giorgos was very smooth!

The villa is absolutely beautiful, just like the pictures on the website. We absolutely loved our stay here! Although there were other guests at the resort, we didn't see them at all, so it felt like we were the only people there. The facilities, including the pool, sun beds both in and out of the pool, which were incredible! Stefani showing us around when we first got there and explained that cleaning service was included, which we didn't expect. This made our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. The attention to detail made our stay exceptional. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will definitely recommend the villa to our friends and family. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

this was an unexpected Oasis -- it is a family-owned compound, though family members were nearly invisible, offering help but allowing LOTS of privacy. There is a constant breeze in this remote place, and we were happy NOT to have a car so that we understood the property and the 25 minute walk that separates it from the busyness of Heraklion. we sometimes walked down the hill for dinner or to take the bus to town, but ultimately cooking and eating on the patio (and enjoying the pool after the trek home) were treasured activities after the crowds of Athens and even the Heraklion cruise people. Wish we had stayed longer-- few places we have planned in Crete offer this private and comfortable outdoor space. This family is special. 💕

Beautiful apartment, very clean, well equipped and designed. Marina was very kind and friendly. We stayed only for one night before our flight back home and it was perfect for our needs.

I don't have enough words to express what a great time we had at Christina's apartment. The location is only a 10 min walk from the beach, a 5 min walk from the main road with the shops. The apartment is sparkling clean and so full of light, and the terrace is so much bigger than we expected. Christina is a lovely host, very friendly, always there for us whenever we needed anything. She noticed we were taking a long route to get to the beach and she saved us a lot of time by pointing us in the direction of the secret tunnel :) She also accommodated our early check in and late check out needs and was overall a perfect host. We hope to see her again next year :)

The place is as described on the site. Clean, cosy, quiet and exactly where you need it to be. 5min walk from the central Heraklion lion fountain. We were very happy with everything!!

Tasos is an extremely welcoming host. When we arrived late, we found a generously stocked fridge and freezer. Fruits, jams, rusks and cold and hot drinks were waiting for us. And Tasos was absolutely adorable to make our stay easier. We really appreciate it. Her apartment is very nice , the jacuzzi and the beautiful view make it a rare find. We highly recommend this rental, even more appreciated thanks to the many details Tasos has thought of.

A lovely modern condo in the heart of Heraklion. Located next to a mini market and delicious bakery, this spot is in a great location. We especially loved the rooftop space!
