Jorge's place has character. The deck and the backyard were both nice although we didn't really use them. It's a nice space with room to relax. Our favorite meal on our 3 week trip was their recommendation of Casa Viuva Wine Bar so their advice when given, it is spot on. Only complaint I would have is the hot water runs out fairly quickly in the shower, but it's an older house and I love long showers. You will get about 5 minutes. Other than that it's a wonderful town and good central location if you have a car for Porto or the Douro Valley

We were very well received and had a great time. The house is cozy, cute and comfortable, the decoration is neat. On the outside, the garden and pool are very pleasant both during the day and in the evening. The location is ideal for enjoying the area and port. Thank you so much for all the thoughtful touches that contributed to this lovely moment.

Don't hesitate to book this place it's perfect... Beautiful surroundings, nice barbecue, a big swimming pool and everything to peacefully enjoy the quietness of this environment. Manuel is very responsive and helpful when needed. You won't regret if you booked this place and it's close to Porto and much closer of a beautiful national park.

Beautiful oasis near Porto! Garden has been designed and maintained with great love. Beds were good, everything was new and fresh. The dogs are sweet. We only saw them a few times, they were mostly in the house. Christophe helped us well find a garage for our car. Floriane is very helpful and a hard worker. We liked that we could have breakfast, BBQ and dinner at the pool at the table. Cozy under the trees by candlelight.

From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the peaceful surroundings and the warm, welcoming ambiance of the house. The outdoor space was perfect for relaxation—whether lounging by the pool or enjoying a drink as I watched the most beautiful sunset. The host was incredibly accommodating, providing everything needed for a comfortable and seamless experience. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Great place to stay was clean and relaxing and the pool was great for the family. The host was very helpful and friendly, informed us of local restaurants and events in the area including a medieval festival that was taking place whilst we were there. Communication was easy, was more than happy to help. Thank you again!

Absolutely wonderful home and stay here. The house was clean and cupboards were stocked with spices and essentials. We were left some homemade jam and coffee pods which were a huge plus. The beds were comfortable and the views of the valley are exceptional. We will be returning.

We stayed at Andre’s place in May 2025, we absolutely loved the house it was lovely being private and in a good peaceful location, an extra that wasn’t on the advert is the fact the biggest bedroom has an en-suite perfect for families! Swimming pool was great but could’ve done with being slightly deeper in one end but it’s perfect for what you need especially with kids. The only thing I would say was a negative was the fact the house has no washing machine ( this is stated in the advert ) but even a tank to wash clothes would make families feel happier to wash there clothes while on holiday. Make sure you have a car when you rent this property as it’s well hidden from the rest of the world! Perfect stay here well recommended and can’t wait to stay here again!

Beautiful, comfortable, well-equipped chalet in stunning location. And it’s got air-con! Fantastic launching pad to explore Porto and the Douro but you might not want to leave the pool.

Very cute, quiet place! The right place to relax, for example at the associated communal pool. If you want to take care of yourself, you should be well on foot or have a car with you (the mini supermarket around the corner is unfortunately permanently closed, next mini supermarket about 25 min walk). Neighbours are very friendly!

This apartment was a great find for us. The things that are important to us were met by this apartment. It is spacious and beautifully furnished, with a comfortable couch. Also, it is very clean. A garage that was easily accessed and very safe is included. It has a very comfortable king-size bed in one of the bedrooms. It is nicely furnished and not overly furnished so there was room for our things as well. It has a nice deck with a view to the river. The kitchen has everything you could need. We could sit outside on the deck even when it rained. Uber is super quick in Porto (we only ever waited 4m) and inexpensive so we didn't need to drive in the very congested city of Porto. We did use our car for touring outside Porto when we felt like it knowing we would come back to a safe garage with a dedicated parking spot that is huge and near the elevator. Nelson is extremely responsive and very helpful. We were delighted with our stay and will definitely be staying here again.

Excellent stay. Repeating without a doubt

Me, my husband and our kitty feel very welcome in the house. Rosa was very polite and friendly. The house is very spacious, ventilated and sunshine. There is a wooded area in the back, great for those who like nature. The weekly cleaning is excellent.

The reality of the apartment is even better than the description. Truly a luxurious, large and well organized square. The square is safe including private parking. A must!!!

it was an amazing place... espesically the jacuzzi and the pool... definitely a place to rest your mind and relax for a few days. The only problem was the person that checked me in spoke Portuguese and as I don't speak Portuguese I didn't understand half of the things she was saying. other than that highly recommended

Our stay was fantastic, just what we needed to relax. Although the weather was not perfect, we enjoyed a lot. The heated jacuzzi was a delight, especially on the cooler days. The hut is super comfortable, very well equipped and welcoming — absolutely nothing was missing. We even had the surprise of finding a barbecue, which we used and loved. No doubt a place to repeat!
