Very beautiful property. The indoor and outdoor lighting was very nice. Screened in patio was a great touch, especially considering the bugs in the backwoods. Has everything you could need! Would book again.

My family had the pleasure of staying here for the first week in June 2025. We had a fabulous week enjoying this fabulous cottage and its surroundings. The inside offered us all the comfort and things we needed, including an awesome hot tub "tub" complete with rolled towels, clothes pegs and plastic glasses! Everything was exceptionally clean and there were lots of great books and games to keep us entertained as we lazed around the beautiful property. The kayaks and paddle boards were so much fun as we explored both directions on the river. Honestly the property was SO nice we hardly wanted to leave it but we did manage to get out a few days to visit Ottawa and the cute towns of Perth & Almonte. Two fabulous restaurants we visited and recommend is Joe's Italian Kitchen (In Almonte) and Michael's Table in Perth. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog Russ who had the BEST time all week enjoying the water, boats and watching the wild life from his little fur rug in sunny bay window.

What a fantastic place! We stayed at Cameron lake for our annual girls trip. We love playing games and this place was right up our alley. All the details in this cottage made our stay effortless. We got hit by a very severe storm and lost power but the generator kicked right on in a matter of seconds. Great place!

The cottage is really well situated on a waterfront lot with direct access to the river and lots of privacy. Everything is very functional and clean. There is no need to bring anything from home for your stay, which makes it a great easy getaway. The host Julie is very organized and responsive. We'll be back!

We loved it! The cottage is located in a private area on the lake, well-decorated, and has 4 levels making it very spacious. The hottub and sauna were awesome - perfect for our winter stay. We liked the couch in the downstairs living room as it was big and comfortable, and we appreciated the Roku for easy streaming. We had no issues driving to the cottage even after heavy snowfall - the private road and driveway were cleared. Walkways, stairs and decks were also cleared. Plenty of room outside for walks with a dog and other activities. We would highly recommend Siobhan’s cottage!

We had a lovely stay! Cozy firepit, lovely view of the water, and wonderfully close to the Eagles’s nest hike and fossil hike in Eganville. Hope to be back.

Had a fantastic time at Diane’s cottage. The cottage was very clean both inside and out. The cottage provided plenty amenities for our stay. We would highly recommend visiting for any duration of time!

Prunella No.4 A-frame cabin is a gem. Nancy and Catherine are amazing hosts - they provided everything we needed to feel at home. They even had all the amenities for our pup, including a dog bed and bowls, which was a thoughtful touch. Their attention to detail, from the property, to the decor and lights inside and outside the cabin, the dock and everything at the lake, was perfect and made our stay a 5 star experience. We loved exploring the trails and taking the kayak and paddleboard out. We look forward to going back already.

This was my second time visiting Andrew’s place in the fall. It is absolutely gorgeous this time of year. The cottage itself is clean & cozy. All necessary amenities are included. Will be back again!

We had the most incredible stay at this delightful cottage! The hosts were wonderful to communicate with and went above and beyond by leaving us fresh eggs and homemade sourdough—such a thoughtful touch. The kitchen was fully stocked with every tool you could possibly need, making cooking a breeze. The cottage is located on a peaceful island, just a quick 5-minute boat ride away. Upon arrival, we had help unloading the boat, which made settling in so easy. The highlight for us was Sunset Point Rock, where we enjoyed breathtaking sunsets. Swimming was such a joy. The whole experience felt like a dream getaway—cozy, clean, and truly a home away from home. For fellow nature lovers, we highly recommend downloading the Merlin App to identify the many beautiful birds on the island. The fishing was great. We found the Texas Rig worked best. We absolutely loved every moment and can’t recommend this place enough. Will definitely return!

This place exceeded all our expectations. The host is phenomenal. His responses were always fast, extremely friendly and understanding. He was very accommodating with our date changes (due to a military move) and made our process super easy. The place is stunning. Even better than the pictures. It’s open, spacious, with lots of modern, high end touches. I have already been recommending this place to all my friends. It’s a must stay- in the winter or summer. Easy no contact needed entry. The host was quick to respond to any questions. Good use was made of the space so you had everything you needed but could still move around. The kitchen is very well stocked with extras as well as necessities for cooking. A top notch shower head that wasn't to low (I'm 6 feet tall), and towels provided. Outside had a fire pit and firewood provided.

Our second stay at Nicks retreat, just as great as the first time! 40 mins drive to Algonquin park, cute bakery and shops in maynooth and a large yard for a full game of football

My partner and our dog spent a long weekend at Peter's cabin in the woods in mid-June, and it was perfect! Very private but only a 10 minute drive into Bancroft which had everything we could possibly have needed. Beautiful space (indoor and out) with everything we could have possibly needed. It's a perfect location for a weekend getaway! There was a booklet with clear instruction on the wood-burning fire, generator and battery, and the water situation, as well as a map of the property. We tried getting to 'beach 2' but there wasn't a clear path and couldn't find it, but the main beach was a 5 minute walk away and was beautiful, Completely private, sandy, and with clear water that was great to swim/float around in. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet weekend getaway, and will almost definitely come back. Just make sure you keep the bug spray nearby!

Spent a night with some buddies and had a great time. The place was very clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. We loved the open concept too - the loft bedroom was really cool. Would highly recommend!

My husband and I wanted a quick getaway , somewhere rustic,quiet and close to water. We found Janet’s cabin just what we were looking for. Everything from the check in to the amenities met our expectations. Would definitely recommend Alexanne cottage rentals for your getaway adventure. We feel totally relaxed and rested ! I had a great time on my mini vacation at this property. Very relaxing, lovely little property and easy to get to. Felt very private even though it was close to other homes.

As described, it is a lovely cabin. We had a very cozy weekend. Marilyn and Svinda made sure that we have enough firewood and the fireplace made it so warm inside that we almost forgot it was -20 C outside! :) Marilyn and Svinda were super nice, kind, and helpful. We were introduced to their two mini donkeys and we could even take a lovely walk with them! There were also three outdoor gorgeous cats, good news for cat-lovers. Highly recommend this place!

Our family enjoyed a truly exceptional stay, exceeding all expectations. The experience was not only a relaxing getaway but also provided valuable educational opportunities for the children. The hosts' instruction in cow milking and their insightful presentation of their off-grid lifestyle were particularly appreciated. The children, and we ourselves, thoroughly enjoyed the visit. This is a lovely and tranquil spot, a favourite that we’ve returned to three times now. There are plenty of places to hike through nature nearby and there’s even great takeout food just a few minutes drive away. Our nights were filled with stars and the sounds of coyotes and owls. Our days were graced with soaring eagles, chipmunks and deer. Cherry Ann is a great host who makes sure the cabin is pristine for all the guests, and is responsive to our needs. We are already planning our return next year.
