We had a great time with the family in this beautiful house full of charm. The exteriors are very well designed. The heated pool is very pleasant with its jacuzzi. The house is well laid out with beautiful common areas.

Beautiful house, very large, very well equipped, tastefully decorated, and very well located in relation to the city center (with parking just in front that allows you to park several cars without problem). We really enjoyed Saumur during a long weekend with friends! I recommend it without hesitating!

The place is in such a great location for exploring. We loved being right next to the church on a quiet cobblestone road. Having a little garage was a great bonus for our car since this was a spot on our road trip.

We enjoyed a relaxing week here. A quiet rural location surrounded by vineyards but only just beyond the edge of town so a quick drive (or a long walk) gets you into the centre. The flat on the ground floor was spacious, comfortable and well equipped and we were made to feel very welcome. Lots of places to visit as well as the famous chateaux. I particularly recommend the visit to Ackerman winery, not just for the famous sparkling wine but for a stunning art installation in the cave created with fluorescent thread and ultra violet light. We were four adults (a couple and two singles) staying to visit friends who live in the area. For us the house was perfect and met all of our needs. Comfortable and cosy, with just a few minutes walk to an amazing bakery for fresh croissant for our breakfast, it’s also a good size for six people meaning we were able to host our friends for dinner there one evening and have a full meal at the dining table with plenty of tableware and glasses etc provided. A great stay.

We didn't meet Alexandre, but communication was easy. The atypical accommodation matches the description and the place is quiet. The city center is close for shopping or restaurants.

I spent one month in the apartment, working remotely as a change from Ireland which was still very much in COVID lockdown. I could not have been luckier with the apartment, the beautiful building and garden, the town of Saumur and with Christiane as my landlady. I had a very, very special time there- the apartment and building is timeless, beautiful, safe and tranquil. It’s location is perfect in the old town of Saumur. Christiane was the most wonderful, welcoming person who is spent some quality time with and it was an honour to get to know her. It was a fantastic place to call home when I was there. And I have taken back some really wonderful memories. I miss it already. Thank you Christiane!

Very welcoming and responsive hostess. Catherine is always attentive and always present if needed. Regarding the accommodation, it is not only perfectly in line with the photos but also and above all very well located less than a minute from the tram, 15 minutes' walk from the Cathedral and the Castle, 5 minutes from the train station less than a minute from a convenience store. The value for money is more than appropriate and there is everything you need (utensils, etc.). I highly recommend this accommodation without hesitation. And I sincerely thank Catherine for the stay and wish everyone to enjoy it too.

Very quiet room, peaceful environment close to Lake Maine. Very fluid communication with Margaux. The 2 cats are very friendly.
