If you want to enjoy yourself inside with a fire in the oven, something warm to drink, a good book or a game, or if you want to go skiing, go for a walk on snowshoes, take a spar ride, burn a fire, make a snow lantern, build a snow cave, or just look at the stars, then Viken Fjellgård can be the place you are looking for. Here are both short, cozy hiking opportunities, and miles of prepared ski tracks in winter. The trails begin right outside the farm, or you can drive a short distance to start the hike on the high mountains.

Year-round cabin with great views near Skeikampen

Large cabin over two floors close to Skeikampen, with great views of Gudbrandsdalen. Three bedrooms, open living room and kitchen, and bathroom. Child-friendly outdoor area with lawn, sandbox and trampoline for spring/summer/autumn. Fire pan. Snow proof and great in the winter. Prepared ski slopes 1.4 km away. A small 15 minute drive to skeikampen with alpine resorts, restaurants and hiking possibilities in summer and winter. Half hour to Hafjell Alpine Centre. This is our family cabin and will carry a personal touch.

Harehytta by the river

Rustic and homely little cabin right by the river. Very simple standard without running water (no bathroom/shower), and with only an outhouse. Water jugs with drinking water and water for cleaning/cooking available. Here you wake up from river buzz and birdsong. The cottage has a garden, fire pit and descent to river with nice little swimming area in summer. Dogs are welcome, but should be kept on a leash as the property is not fully fenced. Beds, towels are included. Wood for wood stove and fire pit is available.

Cabin at Fåvangfjellet

Hiking opportunities throughout the year. It takes about 30 minutes by car to Kvitfjell and Hafjell alpine resort, and Hunderfossen Family Park. Prepared ski slopes close to the cabin, and great terrain for hiking in the mountains. Great opportunities for small game hunting, fishing and training of bird dogs for parts of the year. Beautiful view to the mountains on the other side of the valley. Newer cabin of about 60 m2, and parts of the terrace are covered. The cabin is located in a nice seating area.

One of Norway's best hiking areas on mountains lying on 1100 - 1200m above sea level. Unique mountainbike trails, fishing for trout in mountain lakes or do a round of golf in North Europe highest full 18 hole golf course. During winter Skeikampen has endless cross country skiing tracks in the area. Skeikampen Alpine resort also has great offpiste opportunities.

Villa Stavtaket Skeikampen

Modern cabin with peaceful and central location at Skeikampen. The cabin was built in 2021 and we would love to share it with you. It is sourrounded by openland and forrest, in the corner of a cottage area. From the balcony you can hear the sound of Skeiselva river and in the summertime we would recommend a bath there. In the winter the impressive network of XC skitracks passes just some hundred meters away, and with alpine skis you can slide back to the cabin from the alpincenter.

New cabin with amazing view

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. A new and very homely cabin with some of the best views at Skeikampen. In winter time you have direct access to the cross country ski track directly from the porch. An excellent location for some moutain peace and quiet with beautiful hiking and cross-country conditions. Also includes a small sauna, cabin office possibilities, nice dinners and outside evening on the decking around the cabin. Plenty of parking space also.

Hütte at Skeikampen

Cozy, well-equipped cabin for 2 people in the cabin. The cabin has a great view towards Skeikampen, and good access to hiking terrain. Quiet and calm area, with convenience store a short drive away. Skeikampen can offer activities for big and small all year round, info can be found online. The cottage is about 40 square square with an open living room-kitchen solution and private bedroom. Bathroom with sauna, and fire pit outside.
