Delightful barn, Sissinghurst Kent

GarryRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place exceeded our expectations and was even better than the pictures. Could be tricky to spot the entrance from the road, but the instructions were clear. Key box was easy to use. We immediately felt at home. The beds were really comfortable with lovely clean linen and fresh towels. The upstairs was stunning and photos cannot do it justice. The whole barn conversion was done to such a high standard. It was a warm weekend so we did not need to use the heat pump heating, but I can imagine it’s very effective. Eating out on the Friday night, we really liked “Jumeria” Indian restaurant in Cranbrook (note: town has free parking) and “The George” (lovely Haddock and Chips) on Saturday night. We visited the nearby Hartley farm shop (wow what a place, all the food looked stunning) and Sissinghurst House & Gardens which was an absolutely lovely National Trust place nearby and we ate afterwards at the “Rose and Crown” at Pluckley (superb Sunday Roast). Thanks Susanna, we loved your place.

Weekend discounts -Nestled adjacent to old orchard

We thoroughly enjoyed our second stay. The cottage was clean, well furnished and very comfortable. The cottage setting is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful countryside. It made a great central location to tour Kent, visiting the safari parks, gardens, steam railways and coast.

Cloth Worker's Barn

DuncanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We are two couples who go away each year for Easter. We like to stay within a 2 hour drive of London and so this ticked the box perfectly. The barn is in a very private setting, within easy walking distance of a local pub and only a relatively short drive from anywhere nearby (Bedgebury National park, Tunbridge Wells and everything in between). The amenities were all as you would hope. There is one large double bedroom upstairs and two further double (smaller) bedrooms downstairs, all with en-suite. There is a very cosy lounge area with 2 large settees and adjacent sits a large dining table which you can comfortably sit 8 people. Although a little early in the year for us, there is both a swimming pool and hot tub that you can use, should you so wish. As a tip if you decide to stay, the Woodside Spa is lovely (the website does not do it justice) but you need to book. A must eat place for all who appreciate fine food, The West House, just yum.

The Barnyard

ChrisRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a fantastic stay! The Barnyard was modern, stylish, and incredibly comfortable — everything was spotless and thoughtfully designed. The shower was especially amazing, definitely one of the best I’ve used. The host, Tony, was friendly, helpful, and very informative, always happy to answer any questions we had. It really made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

The barn is truly lovely and in a great location.the only drawback is the busy road which is quite noisy. Gary responded immediately to a few queries we had, we would recommend the barn and would visit again Sue and Jeremy

‘The Water Snug’ Floating Lake Cabin

JoeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a visit! We’ve absolutely loved every minute of our stay with Patrick and Juliette, they have created the most beautiful living space and could not have been more friendly and accommodating. It’s a fantastic spot for either a calm getaway or for if you want to do some exploring, and your hosts have excellent local knowledge that they are happy to share if you need recommendations for the area. We had planned to just relax on the boat for the whole time, but we actually wound up visiting nearby areas (Brighton, the beautiful Sheffield Park, local pubs) before retreating to the boat for the evenings, and we loved this mix. Could not recommend this place enough, it’s been our favourite holiday yet and I’m certain that we’ll be back in future!
