The cozy cottage is located in the beautiful health resort of Finsterbergen, right on the edge of the forest and very close to the Rennsteig (5km). Because of the location, it provides an ideal starting point for extensive hikes. The forest bath with volleyball, mini golf and the tennis court are about 200 m away.

Our modern and very quiet apartment in the OT of the residence town of Schleusingen with its famous Bertholdsburg beyond the borders in the middle of the southern Thuringian Forest, not far from the Rennsteig. The A73 Anschluss Schleusingen motorway is 2 km away. Oberhof and Coburg can be reached in about 30 minutes.

CORONAVIRUS NEWS: Check-in without host contact and shopping service possible! Our vacation home is a more than 200-year-old former water mill in the hilly landscape of the Franconian Hassberge. Where the flour for the estate of Bundorfer Castle was once milled, today up to 12 guests can relax on 250 square meters in the elegant lounge, the open kitchen with a cozy breakfast room and 6 bedrooms. From the private garden you can see the castle and its park.

Perfect for winter sports in and around Oberhof in the winter months, and great for hiking, cycling and sightseeing in and around the Thuringian Forest and much more in the rest of the year. The sauna and hot tub need preparation. If you want to use it, please let us know after booking. We also have a pool that you are welcome to use in the summer by arrangement.
