Very please stay at the cottage. Beautiful surroundings and well preserved cottage and facilities. I missed some clear instructions/information in advance about some basics, such as the sauna (not the classic one), and the possibility to charge and electric car and its cost. Nevertheless, totally recommend accommodation if you want to explore Päjänne lake.

Everything was really good. Easy to find, easy communication and a relaxing environment. Also the sauna was a big plus. We can really recommend staying here :)

The environment is exactly as advertised. Peaceful, quiet and beautiful. A five-star bed and the rest of the cottage. Everything worked intuitively.

A very cozy wooden house and perfect for rest. The fireplace works wonderfully and the sauna is great after a snowshoe hike or a sled ride. Both are available at the property. The kitchen is well equipped, there are even numerous basics such as salt, pepper, coffee, noodles, and much more. The house is super insulated, so it was never cold with us. The only thing is that the bathroom is quite small and the path to the shower is a bit far. The location is perfect for watching aurora lights, we were lucky enough to see some on 6 out of 7 days. The communication with Osmo was great, he provided us with a lot of useful information. Would have preferred to have stayed much longer. It was one of the best airbnbs we've ever had.

We had the greatest stay at Kosti’s ! He’s the best host we could ask for. He’s always available when you need anything, and makes sure for your stay to be as welcoming as possible. The sauna and pool are really nice to enjoy, and the location is perfect. The (then frozen) river next to the house offered us the possibility to watch wonderful auroras, and the proximity the Ounasvaraa ski station allowed us to enjoy it as much as possible. I could only recommend you to stay at Kosti’s place if you want your stay to be the best, and feel as a local.

The cottage was a short distance from the center and it was easy to find. The equipment in the cottage was really good and the hot tub was a highlight, especially for the children's trip :) You could also invest a little more in cleanliness outside the seasons, for example, dust balls under the beds. But this was the only minus, we would come again!

We had a great time with our 2-year-old and a dog. The surroundings were peaceful, looking through the big windows, it really felt like nature was coming all the way. We spent 3 nights, longer would have been entertained. Covered pool rescue when the weather in May wasn't yet summer enough. The yard and interior are cozy and functional. In the guest book more.

Apartment is very individually furnished. Nice contact with Antti, who also picked us up from the ferry. The area in which the apartment is located is very accessible by tram from the center.

A great place for calming and grounding in the midst of nature. Great sauna and nice fire pit. It was easy to do business with Lotta, and the instructions were clear about everything. We had a camping stove with us and I recommend it to others, so you don't necessarily have to use a wood stove for coffee soup or other small heating. None of the insects hurt us, even though we didn't use repellents - the mosquito season is clearly already behind us. We hope you get the chance to come again!

A perfect accommodation with everything you need to rest and eat well. Walks around, an excellent environment. Fantastic hosts both humans (Mrs. and Mr.) and animals (dog and cats)

Our stay at Emmy's cottage was perfect. A wonderful place in a truly beautiful part of the world. The cottage had everything that you would want of a Finnish mökki holiday, and was the perfect base to explore Savonlinna and the whole Saimaa region. It made for a memorable experience. Really a fantastic place that offers everything. Without a car, the property is of course difficult to reach, but Saariselkä is about 15 minutes away. Due to the quiet location and the low light pollution, you can of course see the northern lights much better. Fireplace and sauna were top class. Firewood was available and the kitchen equipment was also great. Otherwise, up to 6 people can sleep there (2 bedrooms with 2 beds each and 2 beds in the loft area). Keep in mind that the house is very bright due to the construction and also the windows cannot be opened, especially in the bedrooms, so it sometimes seemed a bit stuffy. All in all really fantastic, but for the next season unfortunately instead of €450/night already 600 will be due. Thanks for the fantastic property.

We had a quiet and relaxing time at the house. Unfortunately, we had a bit of bad luck with our travel date, as it thawed heavily shortly before we arrived and then froze again. The result was a rather demanding journey over heavily icy forest roads. With four-wheel drive, no problem and on site you could do well with spikes. But you think twice about whether you have to go shopping by car or not. After it had snowed again, that was no longer an issue, mind you with four-wheel drive! The house is quietly located directly on the lake. If you are looking for a break from everyday life and relaxation, I can only recommend winter as a travel time. We used the cold days for the sauna and took a few trips to the beautiful frozen lake landscape. Sanna was always easily accessible and provided us with information about the location and everything around it 👍 In terms of amenities, we didn't miss anything and we could imagine coming back 👋👋👋

The cottage is like something out of a fairy tale, really beautiful, and the surroundings are admirable. We had a few accidents, but the host's (Jukka's) proactive, understanding, and progressive actions helped resolve things quickly. Warm recommendation!
