Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Fingal Bay

We absolutely loved Annie’s house! We had a peaceful and relaxing stay along with our 2 kittens. The pantry is fully stocked with essentials. It’s 2 mins drive to town proper where Woolworths is. It’s 10 mins drive to salamander shopping centre where you can find Kmart, Aldi, Woolworths etc. it’s 11 mins drive to sand dune where all tourist activities are located such as sand boarding and camel riding. Beach is super close too! If you’re looking for a relaxing and affordable place, this is the place to be!

A beautiful house in a fantastic spot near Birubi beach and the Tomaree Coastal walk. The layout is great and the house is very stylish. The spa was awesome. Seem small at first but really deep and heats up within 2.5 hours. Plenty of space in the house for a family of 5. Walkable to Birubi beach (10 mins) which is patrolled with a cafe and is great for boogie boarding. Join the coastal walk only 1 min walk away, bring hiking boots as can be a bit muddy/rocky.

We loved our stay at Lauren’s place! Beautiful, modern interior, walking distance to Shoal Bay for restaurants, pub, bike hire or to watch the dolphins at sunset. Or for the more intrepid, lots of hiking options right out the back door. The house was so well-equipped we also spent some days enjoying the pool, pizza oven and outdoor entertaining area. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely retreat which makes you feel on top of the world - with incredible views north over the Port Stephens peninsula. At night the stars are incredible. The house itself is modern, clean and fresh with everything you'd need - and the beds are very comfortable. The communal spa and pool is beautiful - and the water temperature was perfect. The whole place feels like a mini private resort. Jane was very communicative with clear instructions. Would definitely stay here again.

Such a great and central location to Shoal Bay. The home was perfect for our stay and had everything we needed.

Jay and Rod’s home was beautiful! We had a wedding to attend at the Little Beach Boathouse, and this place was the perfect location as we could easily walk down to the venue. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed here for our anniversary and it was the perfect getaway. Cherie is lovely and very communicative and the accommodations were better than the pictures. My husband kept commenting that he’d love to move to a studio like this one!

We had a fantastic stay at this property in Hawks Nest, it was one of the best places on our trip! The house is spacious, very clean, modern, and extremely well equipped, especially the kitchen. Our kids loved the selection of toys and we all enjoyed the beautiful, green garden. The location is perfect: two stunning beaches are nearby, and we even spotted dolphins, koalas, and kangaroos! There were quite a few mosquitoes, but that’s part of staying so close to nature. Overall, a wonderful and relaxing place. We would definitely come back!

The studio was sparkling clean and the bed was really comfy. The reverse cycle AC made the studio cozy on a cold winter weekend and there is a great pub only one block away with excellent food. Cath and Alex were very friendly and helpful both before we arrived as well as during our stay. Overall it was excellent value for money. We had a great weekend and we will be back for our next Newcastle visit.

Nicky was friendly and a pleasure to deal with from the outset. The property was exactly what we expected as a result of seeing the photos in her listing and very comfortable and extremely clean. The view out the front of the unit across the water was amazing. The beds and linen were wonderful, so we slept soundly each night, and the kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed, so much so, that we felt it was our own. We couldn't speak highly enough about our stay, so happy to return sometime and to recommend it to anyone looking for a quality property at an awesome location. Thank you Nicky.

Fantastic spot, lovely apartment easy access and private. Would stay again

As 3 generations staying in the apartment, we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay very much and would comeback again. We had some trouble finding the right lift as whilst there were many long instructions, sometimes shorter, simpler instructions are easier to consume when balancing grandparents and excited kids :-). That aside, the apartment is spacious and had everything we needed, the balcony was great and the whole place comfortable. Thanks very much Susan for a lovely stay!

Beautiful location, stunning views from the balcony! We were even joined by 6 rainbow lorikeets when we arrived. The flat was spotless, easy to access and Brent was a responsive host. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful views, seen dolphins each morning and perfect sunrises! Had some beautiful lorikeet visitors on the balcony also, honestly took 2 minutes to get from the apartment out onto the beach, such a nice quiet apartment block and location! Can’t hear any street noise , just the waves on the shore, and the wildlife 😍 The place was super clean, comfortable beds also! self check in which is perfect, makes things so easy! Lovely hosts very friendly and helpful!

This place was incredible! This holiday unit was beautiful, clean, ocean view, spacious and with all the amenities available including the pool and gym- I could not recommend this place enough. Lorraine was nice and really easy to communicate with, Thankyou for letting us stay at your place 😊

Perfect for a weekend or even long term getaway. Location was great, right in the heart of the city, 5-mins walk to a couple local pubs, cafes and convenience stores and 15-mins walk to beach and light rail interchange. Also noticed quite a few buses with different bus routes around the area as well. Check in was a breeze and not that I had any issues but Mel was quick to reply once I had advised check in and check out. The place itself was fantastic, ducted air con throughout, 2 very big comfy beds, large lounge area and huge dining area with a kitchen that had what you need to cook for a large group of people, if you wished. Having access to a washing machine and dryer is always a plus, esp. when there’s a 2nd toilet and the bathroom was clean as well. Would definitely look to stay there again if going back up to Newcastle.

10 stars! The longer you stay in Keran’s studio (and Newcastle) the longer you will want to stay. As frequent airbnb’ers we SO appreciate the considerate built-in storage spaces, HOOKS (!), all the kitchen supplies needed to cook meals, etc.! Keran spoiled us: cheeses, fruit, butter, gluten free crackers (she asked about dietary requirements!), OJ and more. Any anxiety about lack of outdoor space was quelled by a cute cozy basement style patio and the fact that Newcastle Beach and its shaded chill spaces is only a few minutes’ walk away. I have to mention the bathroom which had the most sophisticated lighting I have seen. Plus a great shower, just bring your shampoo. Public transport is nearby but we were happy to have a car to explore and traffic was a non-issue. Smaller car is best. Restaurants in walking distance as well as ocean pools (a must!). Best grocery stores by car. We met Keran who was great about checking in w/us and suggestions. She lives above in this historic complex.

Loved this place, the host and the parkland around. Very convenient. Perfect independent little cottage with all amenities needed. Look forward to returning.

We had a wonderful stay at Adam's place. Loved the large deck - great for kids and adults alike. Everything was as per the description and photos on the website. It is a lovely open plan space. Everything you might need is within walking distance supermarket, bakery, Cafe, Golf Club. Playgrounds and of course the beach and river. Hawks Nest is a beautiful place we will be back.

The apartment and the amenities are outstanding. We returned here because we had to extend staying away from our house because of renovations. This was our first choice and u cannot recommend it enough. What really does need highlighted is how much of an outstanding history Connie is. She was so understanding, compassionate, super friendly and flexible. She deserves 10 stars.

Perfect little stay for the long weekend. House had everything we needed, and it was convenient to walk along backyard through along the waterways.
