Holiday rentals with breakfast in Fife

Chris provided us with an excellent communication and flexibility for our check-in! His dad Jim was wonderful to speak with and their cats were much friendly! Well recommended!

Bruce and Karen’s home was so peaceful and beautiful! They just put in new carpet and it’s beautiful so please be respectful and take off your shoes once in the studio. The bed was really comfortable and the bed even had a mattress cover that was an electric mattress cover! That was a lovely surprise even though the studio is very well insulated. Karen made some muffins and she even remembered that I’m a low diabetic 1 so she was so kind and put less sugar in the muffins and they were so delicious! The Lavender body wash and shampoo and conditioner that Karen left for us to use in the shower smelled so good and is all natural product as well! Karen gave us some great recommendations around town and we just felt at home in the neighborhood and loved our stay with them! We would definitely stay with them again! I felt better at their home than I do at my own. They welcomed me warmly and we had a lovely conversation. All shared items were of high quality. Reaching Edinburgh was also quite easy, I chose to travel by bus. I feel lucky to have met them. I can honestly say it was the nicest home I’ve stayed in so far

It was Lovely comfortable compact accommodation. Trudi made us welcome. It had everything we needed, including extra goodies. We’d definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Bill und Anne denken an alle Bedürfnisse des Gastes. Ich hatte ein tolles Bett und großes Badezimmer mit super Dusche (aber auch Badewanne) für mich allein. Für das Frühstück steht Müsli zur Verfügung und die Küche darf genutzt werden. Das Haus liegt etwas entfernt vom Zentrum am Hang, so dass man gut zu Fuß sein muss. Man kann aber auch den Bus (Nr. 13) nehmen.

Un enchantement ! Probablement l’un des meilleurs B&B où j’ai fait étape. Le lieu est magique, l’accueil parfait, le confort remarquable et le tout dans un bon goût appréciable. Une adresse exceptionnelle !

Moira and Stuart were generous hosts and made us feel right at home! Especially appreciated the delicious fresh cooked breakfast. Hope to stay with them again next time we’re in St Andrews!

Wir haben uns bei unserem Aufenthalt bei dem Ehepaar unglaublich wohlgefühlt. Sie sind wirklich die freundlichsten Gastgeber, die man sich nur wünschen kann! Das Zimmer war super sauber, schön eingerichtet und total gemütlich. Die ganze Unterkunft ist einfach toll – man merkt, wie viel Liebe und Sorgfalt darin steckt. Besonders toll fanden wir ihre hilfreichen Empfehlungen für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung und wie sehr sie sich bemüht haben, uns bei allem zu unterstützen. Wir würden jederzeit sehr gerne wiederkommen!

Great location managed to get parked at property. Short walk to harbour and along front to shops and restaurants and pubs. Anstruther did not disappoint.

Janet was an excellent host, super friendly and helpful, had some great advice and suggestions for us. Beautiful home and relaxing stay, everything was nice and clean, the foodstuffs provided were much appreciated too.

Beautifully decorated and super clean place, well equipped with everything we needed for a few days but equally would have been great for a longer stay. We had a slight issue getting in as there was no phone signal so I had to go back to the town centre to get signal to check the lockbox code, so I’d advise future guests to save it offline somewhere! We’d definitely stay here if in the area again.

A last minute booking for us on the course between Land’s End and John O’Groats. It was perfect. Very well equiped and great location to catch a train into Edinburgh. I’m not usually sure about staying in people’s homes when they’re not there but Alison’s place is very well arranged for guests to stay in her home. She was also helpful with recommendations for leaving our bikes outside safely.

Jamie made sure we were welcomed into the house and gave us hints and tips for the local area. There was a problem with the heating when we arrived (start of the season niggles) but he had a sparky and plumber on site immediately. The house is a great location and Elie is so chilled with great places to eat and central for day trips to other beautiful villages such as Crail and Anstruther. The main living area works so well with kitchen, dining table and lounge area all together plus enough comfy seating for 8 to 10 people (a major failing in many houses with 4 or 5 beds). We all loved our time there

I spent one night at Sue’s place while walking the Fife Coastal Path, and I would have loved to have stayed longer. Sue was very helpful and welcoming and made me feel right at home. I appreciated her recommendation for dining at the Inn at Kingsbarns, which was very enjoyable. The room was bright, spacious and clean and the bathroom spotless. Sue has a lovely garden and it was very pleasant sitting outside. Breakfast was very good too. Sue’s home is an excellent place to stay in a beautiful area and pretty village.

We really enjoyed this castle experience and David was very helpful and offered personalised suggestions that we really appreciated. We took his advice and it turns out they were excellent suggestions!! We didn’t have any issues but felt confident if we needed something that we would have experience very responsive communication.

Sheila and Ian are such wonderful hosts, my partner and I felt absolutely comfortable with them. They gave great recommendations about which places to explore in the area, and were incredibly welcoming and friendly. If you can stay with them, do!

기차와 버스, 그리고 도보로 영국여행을 하다가 만난 최고의 3박4일이었다. 정갈하고 군더더기 없는 완벽한 숙박시설, 맛있는 빵과 신선한 과일 우유 쥬스로 구성된 아침식사, 잔디 정원에서 새소리를 들으며 즐길 수 있던 저녁식사, 마치 가족처럼 정성스럽게 맛있는 요리까지 챙겨준 호스트 Jo와 그의 남편 스티븐, 기차역에 내릴 때부터 기차를 타러갈 때까지 차로 픽업해준 헌신적 서비스, 등등. 영어를 못하는 이국인에게도 자동번역기 등으로 필요한 정보를 빠짐없이 전달해춰 불편함이 전혀 없이 지낼 수 있었다. 특히 목표했던 에든버러 외에 숙소가 위치한 덤펌린을 광광할 수 있었던 것도 잊을 수 없다. 고풍스럽게 남아있는 수도원과 궁전, 카네기 박물관과 그가 기증한 도서관과 갤러리와 공원, 그리고 지방 소도시가 가지고 있는 묘한 매력에 흠뻑 빠질 수 있었다. 아침에 기차를 타고 서쪽의 포트월미엄 숙소에 누워서 후기를 쓰며 어제까지의 그 숙소를 추억하고 있다. 굿바이, Jo!

Perfect place to stay would like to return to explore more of the area. Rosemary and Tim were perfect hosts - friendly and helpful and served up a brilliant breakfast.

The perfect little cottage within walking distance to everything! And John was the perfect host! His entire family worked as a team to insure our stay was amazing. They communicated well, always had great recommendations, and provided everything we could possibly need. This cottage is so close to EVERYTHING! I can’t stress this enough. There’s a GREAT restaurant, quaint little shops, a bakery, a convenience store, local attractions, etc. literally across the street. And I’ll add, while the cottage is central to everything, just off the main road, it’s sooooo quiet. You can’t go wrong booking John’s place!

We found Amanda's after cancelling somewhere else that let us down. We knocked on their door which must have put them on the back foot but after we explained both Uzi and Amanda turned the room around so quickly for us to stay and were so friendly. The room was luch with a great view (Tunnock Tea cake on the pillow) :-) and Uzi left breakfast and even a bottle of wine out side on the landing which was so lovely. Even though its a shared house you still have privacy and easy to get in and out. Location you are straight out onto the high street and we had so much fun exploring.. and when we got back the bed was so comfy!! seriously such a good nights sleep! We will definitely stay again if they will have us :-)) big thanks x

We absolutely loved our stay with Laura! Before we arrived, Laura was communicative and sent us recommendations and helpful instructions for our arrival. Then, drom the moment we arrived Laura was so warm! We felt at home and welcomed. Having stayed in several places across Scotland, this was by far our favorite B&B. The curated art, luxurious bedding, and fantastic breakfast showcased an incredible attention to detail. Plus, the view from the room of the sea was fantastic! The Dundonald B&B is perfectly situated in the charming town of Culross, we enjoyed strolling around the town and soaking in its rich history. If you're an Outlander fan (we are) the B&B is down the street from Mercat Cross, which was where they filmed parts of the fictional village of Cranesmuir. Plus, there's an alehouse just around the corner that has a wonderful menu! Highly recommend staying here! Our only regret is we did not stay for longer.
