Mamadou’s place near the mangroves was perfect. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful if I ever needed anything - the bed was super comfortable (and with mosquito nets!). It was nice spending a few days in a quieter area away from all the traffic. Highly recommend😊

A stay as expected... with ease and authenticity. An extraordinary welcome! We were welcomed like at home... but theirs 😊 Mamadou put us in touch with a guide and a canoeist (10,000 + 50,000 CFA for a full day across the islands). The hut we had was equipped with a double bed and 1 single bed with mosquito net and a sanitary area with a toilet and sink. For water, there is a water tap to fill the cans but on request you can heat the water in the kettle. The place is very very beautiful, right on the edge of the Sine Saloum for a departure by canoe. I highly recommend your visit to Mamadou and his little family! We'll be back for sure! Thank you, thank you again

Staying at Mar is a unique experience! The space is super ecological and close to the village . Mar does an excellent job with the community and it's wonderful to hear her talk about the island . It organizes several excursions and serves all meals if you wish . I highly recommend staying at the house of Mar

From Carl: We had an amazing experience with Stephanie. My friend and I work for an NGO and although we have been in Senegal for eight months we were still intimidated by travel. This vacation was our first attempt planning a trip on our own. Stephanie was extremely responsive to our messages and provided advice every step of the way. Three nights at the Saloum Delta was a perfect respite for us. The journey would not have been possible without help from our gracious and generous host. Unforgettable stay in this wonderful place. We had an idyllic and peaceful time at this very warm floating cabin, offering an overwhelming view of the river and the sunset. We had a great weekend at the Filaos' home. Small hut very comfortable, and very clean, by the sea. Ideal for relaxation! The setting was idyllic: direct access to the beach, swimming pool with sea views, palm trees and self-contained hut on the property... The welcome is also very warm. Marie is good tips for doing activities in the surroundings. We'll be back with pleasure for a quiet holiday away from the city... Thanks again.

Valerie was not there during our stay but the Senegalese made us feel welcome. We had a problem with electricity but Valerie fixed it. If you go there take some jam and other food. In the evening they cook Wonderfull dishes but.for breakfast you can only get bread. If you want alcohol take it with you, there are 2 little townships but they do not have a lot, for sure no alcohol! Recommended space for relaxing, swimming in the river and walk through an authentic Senegalese village...

I spent 2 nights at Nathalie's. Fatou welcomed us there. She is very friendly and welcomed us. She speaks French Wolof Serère. The rooms are beautiful spacious and well decorated.With different relaxing spaces The tree-lined and flowered courtyard is peaceful. The accommodation is close to the water for walks in the mangrove (1min walk) . Different village towers are offered by an association close to the accommodation. But you can also go for a walk in the village alone.. (it's better with a guide anyway) There are two good restaurants next to the property on the waterfront Be careful, you have to order in advance. The home has an outdoor kitchen with fridge gas hob. If you arrive from Dangane or ELSEWHERE. do a small grocery store you can keep it in the kitchen and cook small dishes I loved my stay at Nathalie's place. The house has a beautiful energy I will return there without hesitation. Thanks to Nathalie and Fatou!!

Heavenly place where everything is designed for relaxation and rest The design house is tastefully furnished and faithful to the photos and description. The presence of Agnès is really a plus... she is a "fairy"... Beyond the divine dishes she prepares, Agnès is a beautiful person. Thanks to Elisabeth for her advice and availability

I really loved Geraldine's place - it was the perfect spot for an Easter break! The rustic island style was very well suited and the views are gorgeous. It is a deeply peaceful place with wonderful people and places to visit including the local round Catholic Church. I miss the place already.

Very beautiful house close to the lagoon, perfect for discovering the island. A village vibe where everyone salutes each other. The dolphins swimming in front, the ballads, the good fish, everything was very charming.
