This place was exactly what my spouse and I were looking for in terms of peace and relaxation away from the city. Eric was a great host with many local recommendations for us. Thank you Eric for providing us with everything we were looking for!

A Perfect Getaway at a Beautiful Water View Cottage! Our group of girlfriends recently had the pleasure of staying at a lovely Airbnb cottage in Norland, and I can't recommend it enough! The location was great, with great views of the water that made every moment feel special. The cottage itself was very nice, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the hosts were attentive. We were disappointed that we couldn't fully enjoy the wonderful deck due to the weather. However, the hot tub was a fantastic highlight of our stay, and we made the most of it! Overall, our stay was great, and look forward to returning. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with beautiful scenery, this is the place to be!

Absolutely beautiful cabin! We had such wonderful stay. You thought of everything. Kitchen was very well stocked. The hot tub was amazing. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.

Wanda’s cozy little cabin was the perfect spot for a relaxing winter getaway! Her place exceeded the photos, as soon as we walked in Wanda already had the wood stove fireplace going so that the place was warm and cozy when we arrived. She was extremely pleasant and responsive when we had questions and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We loved it so much we didn’t want to leave! Would definetley recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

great place to stay, right on the water. Tucked away in the Forrest, this cottage is very private, peaceful, but still close enough to different things around the area (i.e. golf courses, restaurants, hiking trails) that gives you options. The inside was simple but cute, clean and has pretty much everything you need - just read their detailed instructions carefully to make your stay even better. Overall, beautiful well-kept property, stunning views, and great place to escape for awhile. Would absolutely stay again

We loved our mini getaway! We had everything we needed and more! Sleeping was a dream. Comfy bed (and cozy couch!) Chilled by the fire…. Wandered the road…. Peaceful vibes. Kyle and his wife have thought of everything….from the record player to playing some cards by the fire! Thank you for hosting us. We appreciate your attention to detail, effortless communication and relaxed cottage experience! Much gratitude.

Perfect spot to relax and unwind. Loved being steps away from the lake, hot tub, and sauna. Only an 8 minute drive to Lakefield, and about 20 minutes to the Curve Lake First Nations reserve. Hosts recommended a nice farm-to-table spot that we really enjoyed (The Cheeky Duck). The Nook was just what we needed and I happily recommend it to anyone looking to disconnect and kick back for a little while!

I can’t say enough about how amazing our experience was at Matthew’s cabin. It really is as amazing as the pictures portray, with some of the nicest furnishings you’ll find at a cottage. Matthew was also a great host, who communicated very well and has great attention to detail. Hot tub was just a nice added bonus! I hope to be back again soon!

Laura and Dale's Cottage was such a cozy, sunny, beautiful place nestled in a wooded lot right on the water front. We spent a week there in October and loved the wood fireplace and warmth that the cottage brought. The kitchen was charming with lots of well placed windows. Everything you needed for cooking was available. The board games were nostalgic and fun to play. The bed and bedding was so comfy and perfect for reading in the mornings. The view from the bedroom window was otherworldly especially the full moon coming across the water and the Autumn leaves were spectacularly gorgeous! We cant say enough about this place. We highly recommend it and we hope to return again.

We loved our stay here! The house was spotless and had everything we could’ve needed and more. The dock and watercrafts were our favourite daytime spot, and the dining table was perfect for groups games in the evenings. We didn’t get to use the fire pits but there were two of them! We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed here for a family trip with our child, and he absolutely loved feeding carrots to the donkeys and horses on the ranch. The accommodation looked exactly like the photos and was impeccably clean and well-maintained. It was also very convenient because the place was fully equipped with kitchenware and amenities, so we didn’t need to bring much from home. Most of all, the host was kind and respectful of our privacy, which allowed us to truly relax during our stay. It was a quiet and peaceful place, and we’d love to visit again in the future.

Had an amazing time at the cabin. Upon arrival, Ellen had already heated the cabin for us! The place was clean and organized. They had everything we needed and more. A bonus was they also provided wood for the bonfire! And to top everything off, we got to see the Northern Lights! Couldn’t have chosen a better place to experience this moment! Would definitely book again!

Our second stay at Nicks retreat, just as great as the first time! 40 mins drive to Algonquin park, cute bakery and shops in maynooth and a large yard for a full game of football

Exactly what we were looking for! Great location, both of the hosts were incredibly friendly and the cabin was stocked with everything we needed. Really looking forward to staying again!!!

We had a lovely stay at Natasha's. Home was very new, clean, modern and tastefully decorated. Just loved admiring all the beautiful trees! We had a dog with us and walking around the surroundings was so peaceful. Sauna/spa was great after a long walk. Very close to Haliburton and Minden. There is a very nice country market nearby as well. Highly recommend this place if you want a peaceful retreat with a modern touch.

This was my second time after visiting a year prior with my son. We both liked the cabin so much when we visited the first time that we were happy that it was available when we returned to Haliburton again. Nice, clean, comfortable accommodations at a great location.

This is such a charming little place! the home is cozy and comfortable and the sauna is a nice touch for a relaxing getaway!

The place was clean, well-organized, and fully equipped with all kitchen utensils. It is located in a quiet area. Above all, Kaitlyn responded quickly and clearly. I highly recommend it.

From the second we arrived Monica made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We were showed to our private cabin overlooking the lake, given a quick tour of the amenities and settled in for an incredible stay. The site and the views are just like the pictures, but better in person. Kitchen was stocked with necessities and a few small appliances, propane full for the BBQ and outdoor shower water heater. A hammock, deck and private dock all within feet of the cabin as well. I really want to stress how great of a host Monica was. Thank you for helping make such a memorable trip for us. 10/10 recommend. can't wait to come back!

A rural cabin with unexpected modern conveniences. Everything is new and works well. Beds and mattresses are great. Rare you find great comfortable mattresses. Sheets and blankets all smart freshly washed. Perfect for my dog. Private and safe. Bbq worked great and very hot. Not one thing disappointed me about this place. The host was happy to answer any questions. Even at 10.30 pm. Thank you it was great.

As described, it is a lovely cabin. We had a very cozy weekend. Marilyn and Svinda made sure that we have enough firewood and the fireplace made it so warm inside that we almost forgot it was -20 C outside! :) Marilyn and Svinda were super nice, kind, and helpful. We were introduced to their two mini donkeys and we could even take a lovely walk with them! There were also three outdoor gorgeous cats, good news for cat-lovers. Highly recommend this place!

This was the perfect gateway spot for my partner and I plus our two small dogs. The cabin itself is basic with a comfy mattress, a mini fridge, lamp, table and heater/fan. The campsite is big and right on the beautiful lake. Bathroom facilities were a stones throw away and always clean. We made use of the shared barbecue. It was a chilly weekend so we didn’t get to take advantage of the beach or boats but it is great to have them on site!

We enjoyed our stay at Peter & Maribeth’s place despite the weather gods not playing their part. The place is as advertised and conveniently located. Peter & Maribeth are wonderful hosts and were very prompt with their responses and helpful. Will recommend.
