It's a little hard to find, but once you get there you are rewarded with an amazing place to stay. Super chill beachy vibe with great outdoor area and fantastic view.

I recently stayed 5 nights at Rangiputa Retreat. Steve and Vanessa were the most thoughtful, caring and hospitable hosts I've ever stayed with. From Vanessa dropping around eggs, muffins, oranges, battered fish, and sashimi, to Steves help with getting a snapper smoked, his great yarns and local fishing knowledge, that proved really helpful, and lending his surfcaster to my mate.Just awesome Kiwis and im glad to have met them. So thats the cherry on top of what was already a cracking great place to stay. Ideal for 2 or 3 fishing buddies to stay in what is an exceptional central location, to find a sheltered fishing pozzie no matter the weather. The kitchen had everything I needed, and it was nice that it was easy to keep clean. The bed was super comfy after a long day on the water. I've been coming to Karikari Peninsula for many years and finding this gem of a place has made my trip. Till next time.

We had a wonderful stay! Easy check in and cottage was exactly as pictured. John was a wonderful host with suggestions to make our New Zealand holiday even better. Would highly recommend to others and would definitely stay here again.

Cozy little cottage with great views over the Mangonui harbour. Easy walking distance to the Mangonui shops and restaurants, and just a great place to unwind! Room is small, but very clean and tidy - we enjoyed the outdoor chairs! Thanks for a great stay Thomas and Victorine!

Brenda’s accommodation was very nice in a peaceful location. She and Darrell were very friendly and communicated very well. Did have to get use to a Macerator toilet with the noise it made when the water was on.

Lovely place to stay for a few days. Very close to Kerikeri. The hosts house is very near by but it was very private and quiet. We didn't see or hear them at all. Very clean and tidy and lots of hot water for showers. Thank heavens for the heatpump as it was a rare very cold weekend in KK but we were warm in the unit. I would definitely stay here again above anywhere else in Kerikeri. We loved it.

Dream alert!!!! Absolutely stunning and one of our peak experiences of the year. Vanessa was so kind, generous and helpful and it really made our stay. A wonderful place to relax, recharge, connect with nature and to plan our vision for 2025. 100% recommend.

We loved staying at Debra’s guest studio apartment. Amazing views of the ocean and forest from the entire unit. It had everything k needed to cook dinner. It is 5 minutes from the bay of islands marina and boat yard and was so nice to stay there while our sailboat was in the boatyard. Highly recommend and hope to be back.

Henry's place was just what we wanted. A beautiful location to escape the central high country winter, where we live. Situated right on the beach in a quaint, kitsch, cute caravan with all the amenities. We felt like we had a real beach holiday. The night we arrived Henry had been swimming in the ocean with dolphins. He was a super host. We had our e bikes with us and Henry informed us of some places to ride to do while we were there. Great climate for a winter getaway.

Amy was a very lovely host who was very accommodating and quick to respond if we needed help with anything. We enjoyed the morning homemade muesli. The place was very clean and the heatpump kept us warm. The surrounding area was very nice and quiet and it was so sweet being woken up by the sound of beautiful birds. The location was suitable for the activities that me and my husband wanted to do in the upper North Island.

Second time staying here for work - It’s a great spot for an overnight trip, really close to the job site and easy, comfortable, and convenient.

My husband and I had such an incredible time at this beachfront Airbnb that we ended up extending our trip—honestly, we just didn’t want to leave so we extended our stay and extra day! The property offers stunning views of the ocean and provides direct access to the best beach in the area. Rosemary and Brian were fantastic hosts from the moment we arrived, greeting us warmly and ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Their thoughtful recommendations on local dining spots and nearby attractions really enhanced our experience. The location is perfect—there’s a fantastic fishery and a charming dairy just around the corner, so everything you could need is within easy reach. We truly had an unforgettable time and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this hidden gem at Cable Bay!

We loved this AirBnb set in a really pretty semi-rural part of Kerikeri. A really nice modern space with gorgeous views and a cool river at the bottom of the property which we wished we had time to explore further. Nice and close to Kerikeri town, but far enough away that you could enjoy no traffic noise and lots of stars.

Wonderful stay to get lost in some beautiful landscape. The property was beautiful and perfect for us as it rained all weekend. We lit the fire and used the sauna to keep us warm. The space was clean and had everything we needed for the 2 nights we stayed for. Despite it being a one bedroom property it felt spacious enough for the 6 of us staying over.

Great place to stay in a great location, you cannot find a better place to have a morning coffee anywhere. Beautiful sunrises. Great and most helpful hosts who go above and beyond to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible.
