Holiday rentals in Epano Loumas

Es war sehr sehr schön, man hat totale Ruhe und Entspannung und für das alte Dörfchen ist auch alles sehr modern ausgestattet in der Wohnung. Das einzig ungünstige ist die Lage. Die Taverne ist nicht mehr geöffnet oder zumindest war sie geschlossen als wir vor Ort waren. Zum Supermarkt fährt man über 30 Minuten und zur nächsten Tankstelle sogar 45 Minuten, das sollte man wissen. Die Anreise führt lange über Serpentinenen, das ist sehr schön, muss man sich aber auch trauen :) Wir können es jedem empfehlen, der nicht viel unternehmen möchte und einfach seine Ruhe braucht.

We had a wonderful holiday at the beautiful Villa Cristina! The view is unforgettable, sunrise is especially magical! The Villa has a tranquil setting in the hillside but there is a lovely little seaside village nearby. Liza was very responsive to any requests and helpful with recommendations. We would highly recommend!

Great villa in a stunning location with incredible views and set next to an Olive grove. A car is a must really as too far to walk to Plaka. Taxi prices were reasonable if you do want a night out without driving (15 Euros from Elounda). Pool was spotless (and warm) and cleaned/serviced twice during our stay. Caretakers were extremely helpful. We did have a problem with one of the Aircons breaking down at the end of our stay but were given a fan straight away and an appropriate refund when it could not be fixed that day. Obviously stuff does go wrong and the host's response in this case means I am happy to give a 5* rating. Villa very well equipped with everything you could need. Only potential issue could be for those with extensive reduced mobility as there are steep steps to the property (we are late 60's and NOT an issue for us).

The hosts provided a ton of detailed ideas for areas close by the house and were quick and kind to respond to every question they we had for them while there. The house was clean and comfortable, with the consistent background noise of crashing waves and a comfortable breeze we had the windows and balcony doors open every day. The kitchen was full of everything needed to make meals and we also ate outside on the balcony every day with the view of the sea :) If you are renting a vehicle make sure it's smaller, it will be much easier to drive through the small town streets and some tight turns up and down the mountain. This was the perfect place for a honeymoon, remote enough to be quiet and relaxing with the beach almost to ourselves pretty much the entire week and a half we were there, but also not too remote with villages and places to eat within 10-30 minutes of driving. Highly recommend staying here especially if you're in search of somewhere to have complete peace and rest. 😊

Nous avons loué la suite Gallini… endroit fantastique. Logement très raffiné qui donne directement sur la mer, en face de l’île de Spinalonga. Petite plate forme au pied de l’appartement pour se baigner. … le rêve ! Plaka est une petite station balnéaire tranquille à 5 minutes d’elounda et 15 minutes d’agios, avec plein de petits restaurants . Situation parfaite pour se balader dans tout l’est de la Crète . Notre hôte était aux petits soins, petits cadeaux d’arrivée, flexibilité dans les horaires de départ. Menage fait tous les 3 jours et conseils sur les activités . Je recommande cet endroit… nous y retournerons ! 😎

We had a wonderful stay at the Seascape Villa! The views are truly stunning and the photos do not do them justice! Maria was an incredible and caring host/ point of contact and was so responsive, providing special tips and recommendations to make our visit enjoyable! She’s happy to help, and even called ahead to restaurants for vegan options for us - thanks! The separate and very private bedrooms with their own entrances are great for sharing the space. Lots of outdoor places to relax and enjoy the view. The secluded rocky beach is breathtaking and absolutely worth the hike down and up - more for the adventurous type but absolutely doable and worth it! So peaceful and gorgeous down at that beach. Sometimes there is some noise from the neighbors and their dogs, cats, and from the road behind the house which is normal/ typical if off a main road and with neighbors - just flagging that although it is private and somewhat secluded it can get noisy at times. 100 percent would return!!

loved staying at villa Artemis. a true gem! what a special place. great for 7 adults and a toddler, though a bit tight on bathrooms but easy to work around this due to the outdoor shower! plaka is such a great home base and the villa is walkable to beach, restaurants, and small grocery. one of the best air bnbs we've ever stayed at, would definitely recommend!

Der Empfang von Elenas Mutter war sehr herzlich. Die Unterkunft liegt super zentral gelegen in Plaka. Grosszügige Zimmer sind anzutreffen. Man sollte sich bewusst sein, dass die Wohnung eher alt ist. Vorallem das Bad. In den Kästen riecht es darum auch eher stark...Aber die Lage, die Sauberkeit und die Freundlichkeit von Elena und ihren Eltern macht dies wieder wett:) Vielen Dank!
