I can't say enough good things about our stay at Houseboat65. I was there with five other folks - a couple & their two kids (8 & 11) and another single person. We had the three apartments on the second floor — perfect. I got lucky and slept in a gorgeous three-room space surrounded by windows, which filled the room with light. We spent a lot of time on the Nile-facing porches, chatting and having cocktails. It felt like our own little slice of calm and peace in busy Cairo. Jerome and the amazing Marie (we love you, Marie!) were beyond responsive: anything we needed (and that wasn't much: these spaces are well-stocked) or any time we needed assistance with luggage, etc., they were there in a flash. Marie served as our driver and top-notch tour guide for two days and wow - we felt so comfortable and well-taken care of. She knows the city so well and didn't hesitate to take us to some very far-flung locations. We can't WAIT to tell our friends about our stay and hope we get to come back!

Mein Aufenthalt bei Ahmed war großartig! Die Wohnung war sauber, gut ausgestattet und sehr zentral gelegen. Der war ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen und kann die Unterkunft nur empfehlen!

J’ai passé un excellent séjour dans ce logement que j’ai beaucoup aimé. L’appartement est très spacieux, bien aménagé et d’une propreté impeccable. Tout est pensé avec goût et confort. La vue depuis les deux chambres et le salon est vraiment superbe, un vrai plus. L’emplacement est très central, ce qui est très pratique pour se déplacer facilement en ville. Il est situé près d’une grande avenue, donc il peut y avoir un peu de bruit. L’hôte a été très réactif et vraiment sympathique, ce qui rend l’expérience encore plus agréable. Merci encore pour tout ! Je recommande ce logement sans hésiter.

Such a hidden gem in down town Cairo. Ideal for the traveller seeking local cuisine & wants to explore as well as experience the heart beat of hów the locals work and socialize. Lovely local restaurants, bakery's, street vendor's and much more. Mahmoud is welcoming and has shown true warm Egyptian hospitality.

It has been my second stay within a short time and I couldn’t be more happier. Mazen and Khalifa will make you feel like you have been flatmates for a long time. The apartment is just perfect, your own private room and just a wide and open flat where you meet in between. A home far away from home. The area is also pretty nice, you can go for evening walks, go to a cafe whatever, but it’s never too busy and crowded. Make sure to book for as long as possible, you will enjoy :)

I spent in total 5 beautiful days at Zoe’s apartment in the Garden City. She is a very attentive and caring host. Both her and her partner Umar acted very nicely throughout and really helpful. Will miss Tata, the dog - the sweetest creature (loves to bark but I think it the way to socialize, did not bother me at all). I am really sensitive to mattresses in the places I don’t know and here had very comfortable sleep. Garden city is the great neighborhood to stay if you visit Cairo for the first time - convenient to reach and felt super safe even at night.

Nous sommes très satisfait de notre séjour. l'appartement est tout neuf avec beaucoup de facilités disponibles (sèche cheveux, fer à repasser, linge, savon ..). La cuisine était très bien équipée. Le personnel était très amical, nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre échange avec Phoebi l'une des responsables. Les gardiens étaient toujours à l'aide. L emplacement est au centre de la ville avec une vue sur le jardin, il y a un marché ouvert tous les jours juste à côté et la station du métro est à côté (1 minute) L'emplacement est idéal pour explorer le centre ville. Cependant le quartier est un peu animé (comme tous les quartiers du centre ville) non idéal pour ceux qui cherchent le calme absolu. Je reviendrai sûrement à Memphis Cairo.

Our stay at Maged’s place in Cairo was truly exceptional. Communication was effortless, with clear instructions and quick responses. Maged even helped us arrange a private car, which made our arrival smooth and easy. The apartment was spacious, spotless, beautifully designed, and had every amenity we could possibly need. The large balcony overlooked a famous mosque and offered a peaceful spot to relax. The gated property felt completely safe and secure. What made this stay truly unforgettable was the outstanding hospitality of Maged’s father, Mr. Mohy Elprince. His calm, kind, and generous presence made us feel instantly at home. He helped us with anything we needed, brought us delicious local Koshary, and even gifted us lovely souvenirs from Egypt. His thoughtfulness touched our hearts. Maged was also respectful, polite, and attentive throughout our stay. Thank you both for such a warm and memorable experience. We’ll always cherish it and definitely hope to return when we visit Cairo.

Everything was exactly as described, and it was clear that great care is taken to maintain the space. The host was incredibly kind and helpful—always available to answer questions and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I would absolutely recommend this flat to anyone looking for a great stay!

Très bel apparement entièrement rénové et climatisé dans le vieux Caire à 10-15 min à pied de la place Tahrir. Le gardien de l’immeuble est très gentil et accueillant. L’immeuble a 3 ascenseurs. De nombreux restaurants et magasins dans la rue et les rues voisines. Je me suis toujours senti en sécurité dans le quartier jour comme nuit. L’emplacement permet de vivre pleinement la vraie vie Égyptienne. Hoda est une hôte bienveillante, réactive et disponible à tout moment. Elle nous fournit plein de renseignements sur la ville. Pour les prises en charge des excursions (que ce soit avec get your guide ou directement avec les agences locales) le quartier est comprit, contrairement à d’autres quartiers où il faut payer des suppléments pour la prise en charge.

This must have been one of the most beautiful AirBnBs I've ever stayed in. High ceilings, well curated decor, quality furnishings in an apartment sited in a charming building with famous past residents of Egypt high society. We stayed 1 week as a family and had lots of space to navigate, and discover many unique art pieces and details in the space. Garden City was lovely for walking around and a central point for exploring both Cairo and Giza. The neighbourhood was very busy with lots of honking heard throughout the day, but truly this is hard to avoid in Cairo. Plus there was a neat noise machine in the room for those who may need -- a lovely touch! Only frustration was the hot water in the shower, as it was gas-powered and quite tricky maintaining a consistently warm shower. Nevertheless, Charlene was very helpful in trouble-shooting and following up on our comfort levels. Overall, I very much appreciated the thoughtful details and soft place to rest in Cairo.

I lost count of how many times I’ve stayed at Safaa’s place - it truly is my second home! Safaa and her family are so kind and always make sure everything is perfect and comfortable before my stay. Great place to stay: very central location, very clean, apartment is bigger than I thought based on the pictures, supermarkets around the corner, surprisingly quiet at night for downtown Cairo. Thank you very much!
