Me and my family love this place. we came from an ARBNB in Cairo, and there was a big difference. This place is such a magic place that is very peaceful, very quiet, and so beautiful we definitely come back one day in the future to stay with Mahmoud. I'llreally want to thank him because he helps with a lot of things that I need help with. I feel like I was in my country with my family, very friendly staff. if I could give this place and they personals more than 5 stars, I would. Thanks again, Mr. Mahmoud and staff.

Incredibly beautiful home and garden. We relaxed as soon as we arrived. It was perfect, there is a grill for barbeque and lots of little books for hanging out. A perfect getaway. Thank you, we will be back.

The farm and house were a peaceful oasis in the midst of loud, busy Egypt. The farm is a functioning horse farm, so farm workers were taking care of the animals and crops while we were there, but the house has a short wall and hedge around it providing decent privacy. The pool is not chemically treated, so they switch the water out every few days with water from their well. It had been changed before our arrival, so it was clean but COLD! The villa could easily fit a large group, with more than enough space for everyone. We really enjoyed the riding lesson our girls were able to do with Haytham, for an additional cost. He also gave us a tour of the farm, introducing us to the animals and telling us about their farming methods and what they grow in each season. There was a supermarket and vegetable stand a few minutes away that seemed to have basic groceries, but no restaurants or other activities. This location is a great place to get away and rest, which was exactly what we wanted!

We have been there as a family (4 adults and 6 children) and it was just perfect! We stayed in the airbnb and also two nights in the desert with tents. The whole trip was amazing! Well organised, perfect communication, the food was excellent and Joanne and the whole staff sooo lovely. We really really recommend this place! Thank you for everything.

Tarik's room is cozy and bright, the accommodation is easy to find, right next to the hot air balloon, the room has a great second floor terrace for us to use.Tarik is a very friendly, talkative, handsome, polite and enthusiastic person. His daughter is very cute and beautiful. She took us for a walk nearby and introduced the cattle, dogs and donkeys raised at home. We had a happy night.Although the itinerary of this day is short, Tarik brought us a lot, the local customs of Luxor and the harmony of the people, we gained a lot, thank you Tarik!

This spot was a fantastic location, just a stone throw from the beach and also opposite a cafe which does amazing breakfasts. The house has ample space with two good size bedrooms and the outside space is cute and private. Shali our host was super helpful with the area and recommendations. Very responsive, nothing too much trouble x

What a beautiful home and oasis of tranquility amid the bustle of Cairo. It’s hard to overstate how grateful I was to have this peaceful space to come home to during my time there. Andrea & Khaled are excellent hosts who made me feel at home and were always available if I needed anything. If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely stay at Sakkara Retreat; if you value tranquility, beauty, comfort, and genuine hospitality, you should as well!

I had a wonderful stay at Azab's place. The house was very clean and Azab is very helpful. Qenut is very kind as well. They both helped me have a very pleasant stay. Totally recommend !!

The location of the house is very good, 900 meters to the ferry terminal for five minutes, there is a bank exchanged for foreign currency at the intersection, the host is very friendly, the communication is smooth, and the response is timely!The house is big, you can cook, take a bath, and the air conditioning is very powerful!Best prices!

While in Luxor you can expect A very warm and hospitable environment Qenut and Azab are very down to earth and accommodating to one's needs! A very comfortable place while in Luxor! They also do tours of the Nile, Pyramids, group Nile cruise excursions (10 or more) and desert excursions. Very modern living conditions on the West Bank in Luxor.

Dalia's place was perfect for me to unwind from busy London. She was very helpful as it was my first time in Egypt and went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable. I would love to come back.

Ali's place is a little gem. its well away from the tourist trail, you'll be the only tourist in the village 🙂 and for me it was a welcome break from the tourist areas of Cairo and Luxor. its much more relaxed, and you get to see a different side of Egypt and Egyptian hospitality. Ali is a great host, speaks English and other languages, and is very attentive and helpful. i felt at ease, we had deep conversations about many things, which was great and different to other experiences. he helped me find drivers at a good price and who had a great energy. the special treat for me was the food - local cuisine cooked by a family next door who cater for the local community for weddings etc, the food was authentic, plentiful (one order was enough for two meals), and delicious. the apartment I stayed in has only just been opened, and there's some work to do bring it to the same standard as Ali's other place next door, but it had everything I needed to enjoy my stay and I'm very grateful 🙏🏼
