Family-friendly holiday rentals in Egham

We had a wonderful Christmas week at Flagpole Cottage. The hosts' home was clean, welcoming and extremely well-equipped. We had everything necessary for preparing family feasts, having a wood fire, plenty of bathrooms and comfortable beds. Robin and Francine even left a beautifully decorated real Christmas tree for us the enjoy (and put our presents under), a very thoughtful touch. We enjoyed the hot tub and trampoline (we were lucky with the weather, cold but not rainy) as well as the local walks to pubs. We bought our Christmas turkey (ordered in advance) at the fabulous Flower Farm shop, which is nearby and is a great source for all things edible. Robin and Francine's guide to local amenities and activities is thorough and quite useful. Robin was very attentive and open to queries but everything was so clearly laid out we didn't really have any questions. One last thing - the gardens are exceptional - even in December! I was in awe - especially the topiary. The old yew trees! xx

Great area of London for restaurants and markets. Easy access to Tube at Algate East and other rail at Liverpool Station. Val’s place was homey and clean and lots of room. Kitchen really well equipped. Views of the skyline beautiful, especially at night. A wonderful place to stay in the eastern end of London.

Carol Anne and Kelly were great hosts, kind and helpful. The apartment was very nice, equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable. The location is excellent, very close to the subway and buses, the neighborhood is great. We had a great time, thaks a lot.

Debbie’s place has an excellent location close to train stations, cafes, and it is also walkable to some attractions. The flat was very clean and comfortable for two people. We managed to get our suitcases up and down the long and narrow staircase with no issue. Debbie gave us helpful recommendations and was responsive before and during our trip. I would definitely stay again at Debbie’s when in London.

Absolute lovely place in a quiet area of London. The flat is exactly as described and it has everything you need for a short or long stay. Totally recommended, would love to come back!

We had a fantastic stay! The apartment was clean, cosy and exactly as described. The location was perfect – quiet, yet close to everything we needed. Janet was a wonderful host: friendly, helpful and easy to reach. The bedrooms were comfortable, and we really enjoyed relaxing in the whirlpool after long days out. The apartment was great. The end bedroom gets some traffic noise but earplugs fixes this. The stairs, though many, were not an issue and we saw it as part of our exercise regime! A great experience all round. Perfectly placed and the private park was delightful.

Beautiful home and a lovely stay. It was spotlessly clean with all the amenities provided, TV with various subscriptions, a cosy bedroom and access to the garden and fields. Very good communication with the hosts and easy check in. A lovely touch was fresh eggs provided and milk in the fridge to help myself to. I was cycling and this was a perfect country stay to rest and recover. 5* :)

Amazing London flat! BEST check in (with John) we’ve ever had at Airbnbs- he is amazing & u will want him to stay & socialize after he aptly explains home features & mini instructions! Public transit is close & walkable from flat which is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood Highly recommend staying here if you want to explore London!

We enjoyed our stay at the Fancy Cottage in Kew. Suzanne's cottage was close to Kew Gardens and just steps to the Thames Path as advertised. We enjoyed having our coffee in the sunny breakfast area or eating in after a day of activities. Bedrooms were good sized and it was great having two bathrooms. Easy walk to nice restaurants in Kew. Easy access to Richmond and London by bus or tube. Overall, very peaceful place to stay and enjoy Kew with easy access to all London has to offer.

We enjoyed our 12 day stay at Linda's. We were well prepared in advance, and everything involved in getting checked in went very smoothly. We were very comfortable and slept well. Linda and her husband were friendly and helped us get oriented locally. The kitchen worked out extremely well for us to prepare most of our meals, and that helped us with some dietary issues. We would highly recommend Linda's place. It is a great balance between a quiet country place, yet close to shopping and restaurants in Cobham and Esher. We hope to be back again!

Perfect place to stay in lovely peaceful surroundings, lovely walks into the village with a couple of pubs, Toby and Maddy were super helpful and friendly and made us feel at home, Coach House was presented very well and exactly as described, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

The Dairy is in a peaceful, idyllic part of rural Surrey. It had everything we needed, Beth was quick in her responses and we enjoyed our time there. We were only there for two nights but wish it had been much longer. We have already booked to return later in the summer.

Hannah was attentive to our last minute needs. Apartment is in a great location next to the park and walking distance of Kingston town Center.

Jenny was an amazing host, greeted us on arrival and gave a brief but informative run down. The surroundings and location is beautiful, felt right at home and at one with the peaceful natural surroundings, watching the ducks, dragonflies and various species of birds by the stream you can lookout the doors from the living room was amazing. Local pub requires booking if you want food but is only a 5minute walk. Beautiful nature trails on the doorstep. Reading 20minute drive Pangbourne 10minute drive, would advise going to the swan pub. Overall we loved our stay and would love to return, really good value for money for what you get and a high end finish

A little gem of a place! Don't let the exterior fool you! It's homely, peaceful and just a home from home once you are through the door with a cuppa in hand and slumped on the sofa! I could of hapilt stayed for weeks! The flat is within walking distance to Battersea Park (5 minute walk) and Chelsea (15-20 minute walk) which was perfect for my solo trip to see Chelsea in bloom. There are some great free parking spots local to the flat which is great if you plan on coming by car! The area felt safe and welcoming and I had no issues walking to and from the flat even quite late at night. The bus stop is round the corner and takes you to all the great spots in central London! The highlights from my stay were being welcomed by a beautiful bottle of red wine, the amazing shower that I struggled to get out of as it was just so relaxing and the ambience of busy London in the background whilst I read my book next to the fire wrapped in a blanket! I will definitely be back!

Fantastic stay, hosts were brilliant and went out way to make me feel welcome, lovely to have use of the pool, nice walk from streathem station over the common and lovely neighbourhood, highly recommend

Karen is a super friendly and responsive host, we felt very much welcomed and that our comfort and enjoyment of our stay was her priority. The cottage is stunning set in extensive grounds with its own private garden. We had everything we needed for an amazing, relaxing weekend with walks on our doorstep and the Ridgeway close by. One of the best places we have every stayed in, we hope to come back soon!

Want a nice quiet spot in West London that's affordable? This is it. Always got peaceful nights sleep and it's easy to get to the underground or walks to Shepherd's Bush.

Emma was very welcoming as we arrived. She showed us around and gave us perfect advice on how to get into town. The cabin was perfect for a weekend away. We found a swing attached to the trees and had great fun. The bed was like a cloud and the kitchen had everything you need. Would recommend to family and would stay again.

Ali's place was perfect, a quiet oasis in a really nice area, we loved the local park, markets and great restaurants and it was all within walking distance or easy tube/bus ride of our favourite parts of London. Ali's home is relaxing and clean and as a host she was responsive and timely with very detailed instructions that made our life easy. Would love to stay again thanks Ali...
