Cabin holiday rentals in Edmonson County

This cabin was absolutely beautiful. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was just my husband, my adult daughter and me, but the space is very ideal for a larger family and very kid friendly. The location was close to Mammoth Cave, Horse Cave, Cave City, and Bowling Green, which were all places we visited while there. We enjoyed the Gothic tour at Mammoth cave and the tour at Hidden River Cave in Horse Cave. The guest contact, Beth, was very responsive to my questions and very sweet at giving us information on the area. The cabin itself is quite out there (in terms of location) but we don't mind that. We don't mind driving a ways in order to get a cabin that is comfortable and offers a nice location. Due to the recent flooding we didn't visit Nolan Lake and some other areas but KY never disappoints. It is a beautiful state and we will be back some day (been there twice now). I would highly recommend this stay. I was very pleased.

This was a great place for a big group. If you plan to make your own food, the kitchen has all the tools, dishes, pan, etc. - everything you need. The saloon was fun and the beds comfortable. Free firewood and a nice fire ring. Be aware that while it was close to the lake it was about a 40 minute drive to Diamond Cave and about 1 hour to Mammoth Cave visitors center. Scenic drive. Also, no restaurants, Walmart or large grocery store nearby that we could find. Some groceries at I65, about 1/2 hour away. We brought our own food and loved to quiet ambiance. I would definitely come back again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful house and surroundings. Well stocked with linens and amenities. Clear instructions and Laine was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

This is the best air bnb me and my family has got so far, this place was absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. The hot tub was definitely the highlight of the stay. The kids loved the game room. They definitely loaded it with any supplies you needed. I would recommend this place to anyone that needs a getaway. I honestly felt like I was back in the Smokey mountains. ❤️❤️ I would rate this place a 100/10!!! Thank you all for being a fantastic host!!! (Would love to do another stay soon!!)

We've stayed at a lot of cabins for fall and spring breaks with our kids & this is one of our absolute favorites! Everything was clean & comfortable, the hot tub is fantastic, and the layout of the house worked well for our family (kids in the basement, mom + dad in the upstairs master). There's an incredible amount of deck space (three levels!), and having coffee outside each morning was a highlight for me. The 18-hole disc golf course is a unique feature! My 7-year-old is just getting into disc golf, and we liked that we could just take him out to play a couple of holes at a time after spending the day doing other activities. A couple of things to know: (1) Grocery stores are few & far between in the area, so plan to bring most of what you need with you or to eat at local restaurants while you're out and about, (2) If you're visiting Mammoth Cave, look up information about the Green River Ferry -- not only is it a fun experience but it will save you a ton of driving time.

This was our first trip as a family with our infant granddaughter and it was wonderful! Peaceful, serene with lovely views in a country setting. Rocking chairs on the porch to rock the little one asleep. Stunning shrub rose bushes. A hot tub where the kids could take a moment to catch up while we watched the little one. Visits included Mammoth Cave and Jim Beam distillery. With seven of us, the home never felt cramped. The mattresses were all very comfortable and we were able to cook meals inside and grill outside. My daughter-in-law loved the back porch swing! Brian was excellent with communication and he has the honor of being the first host of our tradition of a yearly family trip to different destinations. Start your own tradition at Smith's Grove, you won't be disappointed. P.S. Buccee's is right up the road!

Very nice home. We were there for a race event and enjoyed the home for our rest in the evenings after the day at the track.

Our family loved this place! It was just as Holli described it. Everything was very clean and organized. The covered picnic area was awesome for hanging out in the evenings. It was about a 40 minute drive to Mammoth Cave, but it was so pretty that it didn’t seem that long. We also brought a jet ski and were able to put in about a half mile from the cabin. Nolin Lake is BEAUTIFUL. The cabin had adequate parking for our truck and jet ski trailer plus another car. Holli was also very friendly and helpful when we reached out to her with a question. It really was exactly what we were hoping for. We plan to book here again.

The Gnome Home was such an amazing place! We enjoyed the week spent here. Heather was an amazing host. We had all the amenities we needed, including more towels than we've ever had at an Airbnb (it was amazing). We loved chilling by the fire pit at night, and watching wildlife during the day (deer, turkey, owls). We can't wait to come back and visit again!

A perfect cabin for our visit to Mammoth Cave! Super cozy, easy to find, and hosts were great. I would definitely recommend this spot for any National Park visitors!

The cabin was clean and cozy and perfect for our family of four. The deck overlooking the ponds and pasture was awesome and the kids loved playing out there and watching the cows. We arrived pretty late at night and I was worried that we would have trouble finding or getting into our place but everything was very clearly marked and the whole property has great signage. Speaking of, this property is GORGEOUS. With multiple cabins, a lake, playground and beautiful hiking trail, we think this might be a perfect place for a larger family gathering in the next few years!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was tucked into the woods, walkable to the water, dog friendly, and a great first experience for us using an AirB&B. There was a welcome binder with local things to do and other helpful information. We'd recommend it to anyone we know looking for visit the area.

We came to vacation here because of the close proximity to the Mammoth Cave National Park. We really enjoyed the property and the home. It was a fun different experience for our family. We found the place exactly as described beautiful and clean. We would highly recommend!

Even though we were there during 4 days in nonstop rain and flooding for for area, we had a great stay. The boys (9, 11, and 13) loved exploring the property, playing in the mud, rain, and water. Hosts were just a text message away and came to check on us twice after heavy storms that went through.

Gorgeous new construction with great quality finishes. Lovely little “neighborhood” with a few other similar cabins. Was immediately comfortable and relaxed when we arrived. Loved the luxury shower. Nice TVs and great internet connection. Nice bonfire area too. Great place to stay if you’re spending time at Mammoth Cave or the surrounding area. Easy to get to from the highway. Very close to the park. Host was super communicative and open to any needs and/or feedback.

We stayed at Windy Hill Farm’s cabin on a trip to see Mammoth Cave. The cabin was just like the photos. Very clean and even had a few fun surprises! We found a Murphy bed in what looks like a dining room buffet/dresser. We also found another accommodation of a covered wagon on the property! Beds were also much more comfortable than expected! Foam topped and soft sheets. Our family (mom, dad, two boys 7yrs & 10yrs) loved the pond!! Our boys fished and we taught them how to kayak. The goats and mini horse were so friendly! Our boys enjoyed loving on them through the fence/gate. It’s lots of winding country roads to pretty much anywhere and we did not have cell service most of the drive from Mammoth Cave to the cabin. HIGHLY recommend taking screen shots of Google maps before you get off the interstate! We made it fine but no service made it a frustrating drive. Restaurants; we went to PJs Cafe and Mis Amigos. Both good and service was excellent! Thanks for helping make our trip fun!!

We had the most wonderful stay!! The caning was so cozy and SO CLEAN. The kids hopped out of bed and went straight out to visit the goats each day, and spent hours between the pond, the animals, the walking trails, and the fire pit. They forgot tv existed. What a dream. We have already recommended the cabin to all of our friends with kids!

Our group of 9 had a great stay at this home. There was more than enough space for us all. It was very clean, the mattresses were comfortable, and I appreciated the abundance of coffee provided. We also appreciated the clear directions for getting to the actual home, as it is tucked away and could be confusing. It is very out of the way, but that's what we were looking for. Would absolutely stay again.
