Amazing remote location camping in the mountains with fantastic views. If you like nature and simple living you should stay here! The tent accomodation is really cosy and you may even share your bathroom with a few small frogs! The outdoor shower has a great view. Amila and team looked after us really well, Amila is very friendly and kind, a great guy to talk to. The food the chef made was amazing ( even if there was so much we couldn't eat it all!), especially as we were so far in the mountains and everything has to be brought in. Shermal organised us a guide to trek up Knuckles Peak 1 and 2 with wonderful views from the top. The guide was excellent with a huge knowledge of plants, animals and birds. It can be cold and wet so we needed warm clothes and rain gear one day, but the fire in the dining area is lovely in the evening to keep warm by. We loved our stay here although it is hard to find..luckily our driver communicated on the phone with Amila to get directions along the way.

We had a lovely stay here! Super quiet, slightly away from the Main Street but still very walkable to the beach. The complimentary breakfast was some of the best food we had on our trip - we loved it! AC didn’t get very cool but the temperature was fine wirh the fan for us. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Just the right location for our family trip. The rooms we quaint and comfortable. The staff, especially Sajith was excellent on site manger. He provided a varied and tasty breakfast and dinner with his staff. The beach was clean and rustic authenticity. Sun rise was spectacular. Choice of local food within east drive as well.

Very beautiful place, super peaceful and friendly, you feel like you're alone in the world and the direct access to the beach is magical. The only downside is the food on site which is a little expensive and few other options nearby because it's quite secluded, but it's also part of the charm!

Amazing place to stay, the view was exceptional. Getting to the room was a bit challenging but great cardio, anyone up for an adventure can definitely try this place. It was super close to the downtown area, got good food and good recommendations

Depending on the type of person you are, you could either love this spot or not. We LOVED it as it had INCREDIBLY helpful staff who communicated well and couldn't do more to help fulfill any of our requests. The breakfast was delicious and an abundance of food provided in one meal. It is very safe and easy to go on walks around the area. It is private and located in the middle of tea fields. If you want hustle and bustle of a town, then this is quite far out of that. If you want modern and new, then this is not for you. But if you want peace, calm and lovely surroundings with cooler weather, then absolutely. We loved our stay and were very comfortable. The host organized our transfer from the station to the accommodation, and he was outstanding - a tour guide as well as the driver - he told us many stories of the area - so knowledgeable!! There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance - we went to Frostbite for dinner - and quirky place with really good food!!

Back of Beyond Pidurangala is located in the middle of a forest with a thick tree cover. Its evident the hotel has done its best to preserve the nature as much as possible. Walking distance to the pidurangala rock. Many beautiful lakes nearby, great food and friendly staff. Bikes can be rented for sight seeing. 5-stars for everything!!

This place is one of my favourites places on Airbnb. It has a breathtaking view to every room in the resort . Our room was tidy and very spacious which made our stay more comfortable. Staff is very responsive and helpful . Specially, Mr. Kushan is very friendly and keeping our stay smooth and pleasant. I highly recommend this place to who is looking for a calm and relaxed place with a nice view to spent their holiday.

Our stay in Amanta Beach was outstanding from the first second. We were warmly welcomed and got a delicious welcome drink. Our room was clean and matched the photos. We also got a mosquito net and were able to sleep peacefully. The private outdoor area with an extra shower was great too! The complex itself was beautiful and there is even an Ayurveda garden from which edible set was used. We had the beach almost to ourselves, two very trusting dogs kept us company. The staff were outstanding and super friendly! Every request has been met for us! There was even a tour of Trinco to all the sights and our nearest place to stay. Breakfast was extensive in several courses, very fresh and extremely delicious! On the first evening, we chose the great and fancy four course dinner! We can wholeheartedly recommend this place!

The manager and staff were so friendly and kindly gave us information about the tourist attractions and all the surroundings. The accommodation was clean and the surrounding natural scenery was great, and the bus stop to Kandy was a minute away, so it was comfortable, and the staff showed us off to the bus stop. It gave our family a lot of happiness because we were able to stay in a very friendly and beautiful location. Thanks so much

We’ve just left the treehouse chalet with the happiest of memories. The food was delicious (they fed our coeliac daughter incredibly well), the treehouse was gorgeous with views that are out of this world. The service and care was incredible. Aruns knowledge and passion for nature is amazing - he oozes love for what he is doing and passed it on to all of us. We swam in waterfalls, walked to the local village, saw the stars …. We were there for 4 nights - it went far too quickly. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in nature, calm surroundings to add this to their itinerary. You won’t regret it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our break to Planters House. If you are looking for a little slice of heaven you have found the right place. The gardens and pool area are so peaceful and the views are spectacular. Our room was great and the bathroom lovely too - I even had a nice bath one night. The staff are kind and attentive. We were given a plan for a hike up to Lipton’s Seat from the house. It was a particular highlight for us and we would highly recommend it. The journey up to the house was interesting but once you are there you don’t want to go back down anytime soon!

Our stay at Taru Villas was amazing, we highly recommend! The room itself (we had a chalet villa) was huge and one of the best rooms we have stayed in. Super king bed was so comfortable, with a day bed, couch and outdoor chairs to relax on as well. The bathroom is very well done, indoor/outdoor style and the shower was fantastic. The property is gorgeously set in the natural surrounds. The pool was brilliant: very large and the perfect temperature, we were just disappointed we didn't get to use it more due to the weather and having other things to see in the area! The restaurant was also lovely, great service, open air and good value with a good range of options. Overall we had a fantastic stay at Taru Villas and it was a stunning base from which to explore the area.

I had an excellent stay in Passara thanks to Nilusha. The host was incredibly friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. I highly recommend this place if you’re passing through Passara. Thank you again for your warm hospitality!

The hotel is fabulous. The bedding very clean and comfortable. The room was clean with space ,shower and plenty of wash products. The views were great and location very good for attractions. Food was delicious,plentiful and cheap. The best thing about the hotel was the staff ,particularly Richard and his next in charge (sorry name forgotten ). I couldn't credit more highly. They were wonderful,helpful and friendly. Taking the initiative where necessary too. Lovely to talk to and watch cricket with. Do not hesitate to book. Big Thanks Julie and Matt

We had an absolutely fantastic time staying at Himaz’s place ! From start to finish, everything matched our expectations. The communication with him was smooth and prompt, making the booking process hassle-free. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted. The space was immaculately clean providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The amenities provided were top-notch, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect right on Kalkudah Beach walking distance to Pasikudah Beach, with a big garden and sunlongers under palm trees. We enjoyed exploring the area and found plenty of great dining options nearby. Overall, our experience was amazing. We can definitely recommend this place ! . Thank you for such a memorable stay. We will definitely be back!

We liked it very much in the 3-bed room. Unfortunately, the single bed on the upper floor only got a little air conditioning. We will be happy to come back ☺️

Our stay in Ella was absolutely amazing! Nestled in the mountains, the location offered breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. One of the highlights was the natural pool, which required a 15-minute trek but it was well worth the effort for a refreshing dip in such a serene setting. The food was delicious, and the rooms had stunning views, making our experience even more enjoyable. A special shoutout to Janakie, who was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic stay in Ella!

What about this stay in arugam bay! In 3 weeks of traveling to Sri lanka, this has been our best welcome. The host ( Musa) , is of absolute kindness, he is super responsive, very welcoming and above all very accommodating!!! The accommodation is very clean, spacious, with a very nice little outdoor space. It is ideally located, behind the main street, far enough away to be away from noise and close enough to do everything on foot! There is a very good restaurant right next door (the sketch) as well as a laundry service if needed. I highly recommend this place, which I think is one of the best arugam bay in terms of value for money! Go for it!

Great place to stay right on the beach, which was clean and quiet, a good place to escape the crowds. The rooms are spacious and luminous and very clean, with comfy beds. We had both dinner and breakfast, both were delicious. Sam and her staff were extremely kind and accomodating. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a place to enjoy the quietness of the beach. If you are lucky, you get to watch monkeys play in the trees right in front of the balcony.
