Pet-friendly holiday rentals in East Hertfordshire

The property definitely ticked all the boxes for us. We were staying for a wedding in the village. Having the pub across the road was a bonus as we didn’t really want to cater for ourselves other than breakfast and the church was only 200m away. The beds were all very comfortable and the en-suite bathrooms most convenient. Two had good showers and the third a bath with a bath/shower mixer tap. We didn’t need the fourth bedroom but had we done, although it didn’t have an en-suite bathroom, it did have exclusive night time use of a cloakroom next door to it. It was positioned away from all the other bedrooms so it was as good as being en-suite for night time use and of course there were still three bathrooms to use for showering or bathing, so not really a game changer if four beds were needed.

What an interesting and quirky place to stay! If you want to step back in time with modern amenities then this is the place for you. Cygnet Thatch has a fantastically well-equipped kitchen and 2 bathrooms, comfy beds and a huge log fire. A great find:)

me and my sister stayed here to celebrate my sisters birthday and Chloes cottage was absolutely the perfect choice, the whole place was stunning and was in such an ideal little village. the place was spotless and had everything we might have needed to enjoy our stay. Would highly recomend visiting Ickworth estate too which is only a 20 minute drive away!

The accommodation was very comfortable. Lots of cushions on the sofas and lots of equipment in the kitchen , good working space in kitchen and very nice dining table and chairs. Jo had left us so many extras - she really had thought of everything There were beautiful gardens to sit in with summer house and pond so peaceful and relaxing. Jo was very friendly and helpful Country side around was beautiful We were rather sad to leave

We had a quick but lovely stay. The house is super cute and cozy and well located. Karen and her family were very friendly and made us feel at home. We are definitely coming back next year.

We enjoyed 10 lovely days at Florence's place. We were having such a great time that we would have been happy to stay even longer. Our sweet dog enjoyed the garden and the surrounding walks in the countryside. The house was clean and had everything that we needed to have a restful sleep, to work on our laptop, to prepare meals, to relax in the sitting room or to enjoy the outdoors in the pretty garden. The parking space was appreciated as well. Florence is an excellent host and we highly recommend her accommodations.

We had a wonderful stay at Kitchen Hall cottages - the swimming pool made it very special for our 4 year old!! Wendy and Max were very responsive and we appreciated their recommendation to visit The Rainbow and Dove - the food was delicious! We visited Hatfield Forest National Trust for a big walk too - it was lovely and would recommend this.

Good accommodation in a beautiful area, very quiet, perfect for a " getaway." Accommodation was very clean.

How to start?? I would highly recommend Charles' place! When you get there and go up the stairs, you might think it's not going to be good. However, when you open the door you'll be taken back as to how beautiful his place is!! I felt right at home! Charles had wine, milk, OJ, bread and eggs. The sleigh bed was not only comfy but so pretty. He had great darkening curtains which also serve as a divider from the living room. The shower was welcoming. If I come back to London, I'd stay at Charles' place!

Really lovely stay. Extremely pristine and private airbnb, perfect for dogs and so peaceful! If your only knowledge of the English countryside is from romantic movies, then this is pretty much 100% as dreamy as you would hope. Angela was always available and responded in an extremely timely manner. We have stayed in many places that claim the pool is heated only to be disappointed. This pool was so warm we could swim in 18c weather on a cloudy day. We loved everything about our stay and the kitchen is very generously stocked with knives, cutting boards, kitchen scissors, etc. We could not recommend this airbnb and the hosts enough! The neighbours are also so kind and warm and even suggested walking routes for us and the dog. Don’t hesitate and book in now!

Just what we were looking for - you can't really get a more central location in town and the flat was immaculate inside. We parked in a council car park just a couple of minutes away which was very convenient. Would definitely come back.

Had a lovely weekend stay. Dogs enjoyed the biscuits, very helpful with extra towels for cleaning their feet. Loved the apartment. Reminded me of my loft at parents house. Little treats. David and Leslie are the kindest and most welcoming of hosts. They made me feel at home immediately, and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were very willing to accommodate my requests, and it was lovely to enjoy their hospitality in the garden. Their generosity was evident in the LWH - ensuring there were things for breakfast and a drink (even ice cold water in the fridge) to lovely cosmetics in the bathroom. And the LWH was spotless, beautifully kitted out and the bed was very, very comfortable. I had everything I needed for my short stay, and if I had needed something, I was reassured that all I should do was to ask. The LWH is a great place to stay to explore this part of Essex and is highly recommended. Thank you David and Leslie for all that you did to make my stay a memorable one.

Our short stay here was absolutely perfect. Everything was clean and tidy. Slightly smaller than what the pictures show but ain't to bad for a small family or couple. The area was nice and quite. Bed was really comfortable. We do like a TV in our room but didn't mind it so much. Will defo being staying here again and will defo mention this place to others.

We had a great weekend getaway with friends at Tonwell Tower. Matthew is the most gracious host, he's so helpful and responsive, and really dedicated to make us feel special and have everything we could think of. Fridge stocked with soft drinks, serious selection of tea, biscuits, top quality kitchen appliances. Heaven if you enjoy cooking up a cosy dinner with family/friends. The place is beautifully designed. the bedrooms are so cosy and each with its own ensuite that feels private and relaxing. the master has a bathtub with an amazing view. Highly recommended!

We loved the property and its surroundings. Buntingford is great local village with a local cafe, pubs and handy supermarket. If you’re self catering it’s worth a look at Pearce’s Farm Shop and cafe, 10 minute drive.

I’ve never been so sad to leave an Air BnB! Peaceful, quiet, heaven! Lovely enclosed garden/decking with patches of grass for the dogs, plenty of choice of outdoor furniture! Decking is a little worn and rotted in certain parts but otherwise it was a perfect little spot, we had perfect weather and spent most our time out there. 3 beautiful horses to watch graze from the garden with a cuppa, and a very cute donkey and Shetland behind the house to say hello to! It was honestly amazing - the perfect quiet retreat, the house is on the owners’ land but we were never disturbed but hosts were extremely responsive if we needed anything. Beautiful flowers and lovely fresh sourdough, chocolate and wine left for us which was such a lovely touch! Hosts were so welcoming and friendly, helped us with our bags which was very kind. Rooms were amazing with TVs, great wardrobe space, full working kitchen, stunning bathroom. We literally had everything we could possibly need, I would live there forever!
