Our cozy bungalow is located in the middle of the woods of the Overijssel Vechtdal. The forest house has a beautiful sauna and a big (wild) garden of more than 1000 m2 where you can rest and enjoy all the flora and fauna. From the cottage you can walk, cycle and swim for hours. There are beautiful routes and you can easily jump in a canoe or enjoy a terrace in the lively Hanseatic town of Ommen. Op een prachtige locatie midden in het bos staat ons heerlijke, knusse huisje, geschikt voor 4 personen. Het huisje staat op een kleinschalig en rustig park. De kernwaarden van het park zijn rust, natuur en privacy. Je vindt hier dus vooral natuurliefhebbers en rustzoekers. Op het park zijn verschillende voorzieningen aanwezig, zoals een receptie, buitenzwembad, tennisbaan en speeltuin. Het ligt aan de voet van de Lemeler- en Archemerberg en op ca. 6 km van het gezellige stadje Ommen.

Cottage on the Hei is located behind our farm on more than a hectare of land, in a protected nature reserve just outside Dwingeloo in Drenthe. A special place, because you literally walk up the heath from our yard. No traffic, no neighbors, no hustle and bustle. The adventure starts on arrival, because in order to reach our cottage you need to drive a little bit over a dirt road. This road is not accessible to traffic. You can't get it much quieter in the Netherlands!

We stayed with 3 adults and two toddlers and the space was completely sufficient. There was also enough board game material available on rainy days and the children still got a lot of painting utensils from Marieke. The kids were very happy about that. Outside in the garden it was very idyllic and in the summer it was certainly nice to sit outside by the pond comfortably in the evening. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. we lacked nothing. The communication with Marieke was great. She was always very accessible and proactively suggested activities. All around a very successful week :) Thank you very much for that.

Beautiful place, enjoyed the greenery, the birds (the two woodpeckers in the garden that flew in and out) and the tranquility. Calm park, you can hear people, but it still feels very private. We had beautiful weather, which also contributed to a nice atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place.

We stayed for 4 nights at this beautiful cottage. The kitchen was well-equipped, everything was very clean, there were good quality bed linen, comfortable beds, really nice garden and a free parking space. The whole site was very peaceful and there was even a playground and a small playing field for basketball and football. The check-in was very easy and convenient, we arrived late, but still could find our keys easily. The only thing to take in mind is that there are no towels included, toilet paper and hand soap, so you either have to bring your own or rent (towels ) at the reception.

What an amazing place! So beautiful in the middle of nature and the house is really spacious enough for 6 people. Upon arrival, a high chair and camping bed were ready. We had brought a box with us for outside because of the decking, which is a meter higher than the ground around it. A nice bike ride and you are in Ommen. We enjoyed it!
