Family-friendly holiday rentals in Dunes City

Greatest host and house I could have hoped for, especially considering how last minute it was. They went above and beyond to make the stay as wonderful as possible, and easy for all of us. Extremely polite, and proactive. This place feels more like a home than a rental, and it’s easy to feel like you’re staying with family (that you like)! It’s beautiful inside and out. So much to do in the house, you might not actually leave, and they have everything you need and more available. Easily my first choice next time I’m looking to go back. 100/10 stars. Do yourself the favor of staying here.

We come to this are a lot but this rental will go down as one of my favorites! Priceless ocean view, easy beach access and lots of amenities for the whole family including the kids. Close enough to Yachats to grab a coffee or a meal and cherry on top is the fact that this is a pet friendly rental! Place was clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen as well. Check out instruction was also not excessive, which I always appreciate. I will def book another stay at the Lady Kennaway!

The space was lovely and as described! The hot tub wasn’t ready the day we arrived but thankfully was available the next day. The view to the ocean was beautiful and the cabin had everything we needed. I will say the cabin wasn’t as private as we hoped given the proximity to the other properties.

This home was beautiful and inviting from the second we walked through the door. AMAZING VIEW!!! Puppy friendly (fully fenced with the exception of a small area on the south side of the yard), and just a few minutes walk to the beach. Super responsive host. We hope to come back again soon!!

This is our second stay with Bonnie and it was just as amazing as the first time around! The house is easy to find, has a beautiful view of the river, and such a lovely home. Bonnie has great communication and very accommodating. I would recommend staying there to everyone I know and highly likely to stay again myself. Thank you Bonnie!

We were struggling to find a place that would accommodate 6 guests, Luckily we found Audrey! She was very nice and communicative from the start and the space was a great place to stay. It was very cozy but still spacious with a very cute little kitchen that had everything we needed. Everything was very clean and comfortable and the hot tub was an awesome bonus!

This was my second time staying here. I love the location right across from the beach, and it's a quick trip into Florence for groceries, shops, and restaurants, and a short ways north there's lots of good hiking. The house is super clean and the bes is comfortable. Full-size kitchen appliances and washer/dryer are nice to have. There are lots of thoughtful touches like bedside and table lamps where you need them. And of course the jacuzzi is splendid after a long hike! Would 100% stay here again.

This lake house was the perfect getaway from the busy life of a business owner. Me and my husband were truly in heaven. The house was very clean with all the amenities you could ask for. We will definitely be back.

This was our second time staying at this house and my family all agrees that when it comes to value you really can't do better than this place! Though it could use a little updating and TLC (our 8-year old daughter got quite a few splinters from the deck and the railing) the location is great - easy access to the beach, It's pet-friendly, clean and comfortable. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay Wally is very responsive and friendly. We've already booked our next stay here.

A perfect spot for us to stay with two toddlers! The playroom basement was a huge hit with the kids. Adults loved the views of the bridge and dunes as well as the easy beach access. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We loved our stay at the Sky Candy located at the Drift Inn! We enjoyed the charm of staying in one of our favorite small coastal towns with all you’d expect from above and beyond lodging. Stand outs include: Exceptional cleanliness of the room, walkability to coffee shops and restaurants (especially the Drift Inn’s restaurant which we love), comfortable beds and linens, quick and easy communication with the host, streamlined check in and check out process and detailed touches like linens for dogs. We came here with our two dogs and it felt very dog friendly - several bathroom spots for pups are accessible around the property. We definitely will be back :)

Very beautiful place, felt very homey. Everyone loved the private entrance to the beach. However, some stuff is outdated one of the beds squeaked with every movements that we made. We got there 3 hours after check in time and all the cleaning supplies were left out. Dirty rags, cleaning chemicals, vacuum. Downstairs bathroom was still dirty and they didn’t go back till the next day to pick up their stuff.

Pics don’t do justice to this property!! This is the most fun we have ever had as a family. Beyond amazing.

This is the second time we've stayed here. Nothing beats the view. The house is just as described. The little neighbor lady below the house is adorable and her yard is beautiful as well. It was a fun trip!

Great cottage, surrounded by nature and close to the beach access. Spoke with Jim on the phone and he told us two different ways to access. Very quiet even though close to Hwy 101. Felt right at home. Kitchen is well equipped beyond expectations. Bed is very comfortable. Home is clean and has fun decorations. Tiki room bathroom is great fun! Definitely recommend this property.

Close to beach. Large house with plenty of room for a family to spread out. Dog friendly yard. (as in fenced and accessible by side door). Plenty of cookware, and a sink with a disposal which is handy.

Great homey and welcoming house. The view of the ocean was amazing. Great place to explore the coast north and south. House had everything we needed. Comfy beds! Thank you for letting us experience a wonderful setting on the coast!

Great vacation spot, walkable to the beach and the bay. Family friendly and an overall great experience.

My family and I stayed here for the weekend to celebrate my moms 50th birthday. The house was huge with plenty of space for everyone, did not feel overcrowded. The only issues we had was the microwave was out of order ( didn't know this until after we arrived) made heating up food challenging. 2nd is some of the beds were too firm which made it uncomfortable to sleep on. Overall 5 stars, the location was great, a short distance to the beach and plenty of space for everyone, would stay here again!

The place was very nice- bigger than the pictures make it look and very well stocked with linens, games, toys, and kitchen things. We had a minor issue and they offered to send someone out the same day (which we didn’t need but appreciated). The only watchout is the dune in front of the house down to the beach is much steeper than it looks, so we had to walk a few houses down for beach access with kids- not a dealbreaker but not a straight shot walkout if you were expecting that.

This place is incredible. You won't find a better spot. The backyard is sand dunes that lead to the Pacific Ocean, and, to what feels like, a private beach. This is especially perfect for one or multiple families. Six bunkbeds and lots of toys and a play area for small children. Our kids had an absolute blast! You'll love this spot, and Claudia is super responsive to any needs that may arise :)

This home is in a fantastic location, just a short walk to water’s edge. The second floor enclosed deck was a great place to sit inside and view the ocean and sunsets. All four bedrooms were large with king sized beds and plenty of extra bedding. Bathrooms were well stocked with towels. The kitchen had an enormous selection of cookware, dishes/glasses and utensils. There were many different sitting areas to spread out and we never felt crowded. Also, extremely helpful that dogs were allowed. I would not hesitate to stay here again! Highly recommend this home when you are looking for a large place capable of holding up to eight people and dog friendly!

What a dream! We loved this place soooo much we especially appreciated the eco-fragrance free detergents and the fun art. Perfect place for a family bday celebration! Thank you, thank you! 🥰
