Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Dublin Southside

I couldn't be happier with my experience. The location was fantastic, just a convenient 45-minute walk from the city center, making it easy to explore and enjoy all the attractions. Additionally, the neighborhood itself was vibrant, with numerous restaurants and pubs less than 10 minute walk away, adding to the overall convenience. The house itself was spotless and offered plenty of space. The owner went above and beyond by providing thoughtful little extras that made our stay even more enjoyable. Owner was easy to get a hold of and very responsive to any questions we had. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, making the whole experience seamless and stress-free. I highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a clean, spacious, and well-located place to stay!

Spacious, sun drenched, well stocked, and clean apartment. Great location with lots of restaurants and sights nearby. Easily walkable, but public transportation is also right outside. Would highly recommend!

This place is a gem of a find. Lovely house in a nice, quiet neighbourhood. Within easy reach of buses to and from Dublin centre. I used a scooter and made short work of getting into the city centre. I was made to feel welcome from the start and everything was easy to find and use. My room was perfect for what I wanted and was able to come and go as I pleased. I can thoroughly recommend this Air BnB. It felt more like visiting my sister than someone I didn't know.

We loved our stay in Dublin at Rachael's place! It was in a great location right in the city and around the corner from great grocery stores, a sweet cafe and other shops. Rachael's home was very comfortable for our family of 4 and a great spot to spend a week in Dublin and visiting the surrounding areas! We will back!

Everything was fine, the place is cozy and nice, lots of bus stops in the area. William was very kind and friendly, replied all the time and was very helpful. A great experience overall, I recommend it!😁

We loved our stay! The house was great and so so beautiful! So many things right close by (food, bars, etc). Also totally possible to walk further into town to shops and even more restaurants and bars, etc. The beds were so comfy and the house had exactly what we needed! So much light and the bedroom in the back is AWESOME! We totally recommend staying here if you’re in Dublin! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Diarmuid is an amazing host - communication was quick, friendly, and helpful. The apartment was easy to find and all instructions were easy and simple to follow. We had an amazing stay, the apartment was clean, modern and had everything you need for a trip away. The location of the apartment is very central to the city centre and everything in walking distance. Thanks again for making our experience unforgettable.

Spacious apartment in a cool old building near the heart of Dublin. Very lively neighbourhood; surrounded by tons of pubs, cafes, etc. Alex was a great host. Would definitely stay there again!

Angela was very quick responding to any questions that I had. The location was perfect. Just a 2 minute walk to the DART and the waterfront with loads of bars and restaurants Checking in was a breeze. The studio was clean and comfortable. I would definitely return.

Peter was responsive to all our questions and a great host. Please bear in mind. This Airbnb is situated on the DART rail line. and you can hear the train pass each time north and south directions.. The Airbnb is essentially located, and as the Sunnymount train station is literally a woman at walk from the front door access to all parts of the coastline north and south of the city are readily available

Location, location, location! We were three couples traveling together and this was the perfect apartment for that. Each couple had our own space. It is directly across the street from Temple Bar and walkable to everything we had planned. We walked to Trinity College, Guinness Storehouse, and Jameson. Even though it was directly across the street from Temple Bar, we did not hear any noise from there once we went to bed. The people watching from the living room window was entertainment in itself. I would highly recommend this place for your stay in Dublin.

Liam's place was great - it is in a perfect spot in Dublin. It is walkable to many of the key sites you may want to visit (especially Guinness), close to easy public transportation and is also just far enough away to allow some quiet in the evenings (which was important for our family trip). It is a nice amount of space for the city, fitting in the key elements needed (and has a washer / dryer that actually dries the clothes), while also being clean / tidy. There is also a great pub right at the end of the street - with some very friendly staff. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this place and you should have no reservations booking too. Bonus family note: there was a large concert nearby during one of our stay days, and the back bedroom area is quiet enough that our 4 yo could sleep through it all without any issue.

great airbnb for a quiet stay outside of Dublin center!

The flat is well placed centrally, clean and functional. Clear check in instructions and additional local info. Andrew was very approachable and responsive. The flat is on the fourth floor with no lift, I didn't mind that but keep that in mind if it makes a difference to you.

Lovely place! Everything was as described. Plenty of space for our family of 4. Neighborhood felt quiet and very safe. I only wish it was closer to the city centre as driving was a bit nerve-wracking! John was a very responsive host who was accommodating. Would definitely recommend satyomg here!

Sinéad’s space was absolutely perfect for us! She was super helpful in accommodating us and had everything we needed. It felt like she went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect space. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something a little removed from the busyness of the city.

David's place was exactly as described. Great location in the Portobello neighbourhood and was easy to get into central Dublin. Also great transportation to other areas via the bus. David was very flexible when we had to change our booking from Sept 2024 to May 2025. He was extremely welcoming when we checked in (provided a bottle of wine!) and very responsive when we accidentally locked ourselves out on the last day of our stay!! We stayed for 6 nights and appreciated the kitchen amenities and the very comfortable bed :) We would highly recommend David's place if you are travelling to Dublin.

Sean was amazing! So helpful and friendly with everything. He was very accommodating and offered to drive us to and from public transit as we didn't have a vehicle. This apartment is in a beautifully restored Catholic Church. We had stayed in a different apartment in the same building years ago, so we knew we loved the area. The renovation of Mark's place is extremely well done, and a lot of the original Gothic features are still incorporated in the design. The neighborhood has a lot of small cafes and restaurants nearby, and it's an easy walk of 15 minutes or so to the Temple Bar and tourist areas. (Try the Fresh grocery store along the way back to pick up some great salads and baked goods!)
