Rural, detached wooden garden shed.

Opende lies in the Frisian Forests. The airBNB is on our property on the border of Groningen and Friesland. Hiking and cycling can be done in the nearby nature reserves Alde Feanen, Bakkeveen, Beetsterzwaag and Lauwersmeer. A day in Ameland or Schiermonnikoog is also great to do. Culture can be gained in Groningen, Leeuwarden and Heerenveen (about 25 minutes). Surhuisterveen is about 2 km away and has a shopping center with supermarkets, restaurants and all kinds of shops. You must arrange breakfast yourself.

For the lover of peace and space. In the middle of the beautiful scenic landscape of the Westerkwartier is our farmhouse. We rent out the old chicken shed as a Bed and Breakfast. In the area you can feel free to go hiking or cycling. Directly at a junction route. Public transport and a supermarket are within cycling/walking distance. Drachten and Groningen are 15-25 minutes away by car. Leeuwarden is about 45 minutes drive. Breakfast package possible, preferably passed on before arrival.

This was the third time we were allowed to stay in the beautiful residence. This time, our (step)mother was with her dog. We once again enjoyed all the comforts of the stay (everything present) and the well-enclosed garden (for the dogs). Everything in the kitchen that we can use. A wonderful shower with good, radiant hot water. It is wonderful to walk into the beautiful nature reserve from the cottage. We were lucky with the weather, it was nice and sunny. So it was also pleasant to stay in the garden. Aaltje and her daughter were as always very hospitable and friendly and also helpful. We will certainly come back a fourth time (and more). Beautiful and fully furnished house equipped with all the necessary items such as towels, but also the small things such as salt, pepper, coffee, tea and so on. Furthermore, all rooms are equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Hosts very friendly and spontaneous and very busy to make it enjoyable. The area is really great for cycling and so on. Bakkeveen has plenty of great opportunities to eat out. In short, had a wonderful holiday Willeke and Gerard are very nice and spontaneous people Good luck

Arrived here from The Hague and we immediately felt very welcome by Sandra's hospitable welcome. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic and the homemade liqueurs a caress for the tongue! We really enjoyed the flea markets and fairs in the area. The Camel Market is a must for the adventurer and depending on the time of year it is also fun and enjoyable to experience Poptimaal or the Pinksterlanddagen. All in all, an absolute must!

We really enjoyed it here. The apartment is even bigger than it looks in the photos. You wake up in the morning with a view of the fields, and with a little luck you can even see a few cows walking past the window. The apartment leaves nothing to be desired. In the kitchen, for example, all the necessary things are available. You can quickly get into traditional costumes to make purchases. Groningen can be reached in about half an hour by car for a wonderful excursion. The highlight for us was the cows and alpacas in the front yard. Geert and his wife are so kind and accommodating. You feel right at home without them being intrusive. We are thrilled with our stay and highly recommend this accommodation.
