Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Douai

Didier and his wife were very welcoming hosts. Sable de La Fontaine was in the perfect tranquil location, with a large garden and beautiful forest nearby to walk our dog. The room was lovely, with a large comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious with a range of homemade jams and nutella. Everything was perfect and we have booked again for our return trip to England.

The particularly warm welcome, interested in our activities and good tips for sightseeing . The bedroom and the house are very "clean" and well decorated. the neighborhood on foot from the train station and very good restaurants. Also very close to Louvres-Lens. We'll go back and recommend it. Bravo to both of them!

The room with balcony had a lot of charm and the furniture and design were beautiful. It was on our way back to Oxford and very convenient. We enjoyed the basketball and local beer from the nearby monastery. The breakfast was very special (fresh croissants, baguettes, homemade marmalade, ...). Carol was extremely helpful, explaining the history of the region and the house and recommending places for dinner and nice walks. We will definitely book again.

A fantastic stay, Fabien was a great host and provided a lot of useful information about the local area. I particularly enjoyed learning about the history of Arras at the Carrière Wellington. The house itself was very well kept and comfortable. The breakfast was also excellent, and very well prepared.

A perfect stay. Dominique is a friendly and attentive host who is committed to making you have a peaceful and comfortable stay. This house offers a break of calm and serenity in the middle of Douai. The setting is impeccable, as is the quality of cleaning and the decoration of the house. Small bonus: presence of friendly and rather cuddly cats Taking care of its hosts, I highly recommend!

A very hospitable couple. We were “forced” to practise our French (deplorable) over breakfast which was fun. Breakfast was very good.

This was a beautiful home made even more wonderful by its hosts, Genevieve & Xavier. They welcomed us with champagne, prepared amazing 3 course dinners and started our day with a wonderful breakfast spread. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very flexible with our plans. We felt very much ‘at home’. They shared stories of the homes’ history and theirs. We will most definitely return to visit them as well as the area. Best stay of our 6 week trip around France.

A romantic weekend at Stéphanie's. We were admirably well received for this weekend in this exceptional place. Stéphanie has remodeled and decorated this place brilliantly to make a little romantic cocoon at will. All the comforts are there with a nice touch of decor. If you like, it can even fold in four to bring you a hot and delicious meal. The bedding and cleanliness are impeccable. We loved the outdoor spa, the sona, ... In short: it was difficult to leave and we will be happy to go back.

Marie & her husband are very friendly. Both eager to speak English when my French all too often failed. Stunning room and building. We’d love to go back one day. Peter the Peacock was very friendly.

Sabine and her husband were super welcoming, I really enjoyed spending the evangelical with both of them eating great food and the pool was a lovely bonus. I’ll definitely recommend staying at Sabine’s house ❤️

Super nice hostess, cozy going and has nice ideas for during your stay. House is beautiful, spacious and a lovely garden. Use of kitchen and breakfast also together with the other guests made it very cozy . I will definitely come back here again!

Beautiful guest room in a cozy farmhouse. Dear host. And a delicious breakfast. Very nice bed. The surroundings definitely seem beautiful to me too. But for me, it was only an overnight stay in transit. And get away from the highway.
