Holiday rentals in Dixon County

Peaceful, private, and full of solitude-and what a fun space to stay! We loved our entire experience and will be back. Kelley and her crew were a wonderful host!

This was our second stay at Britney’s place in Ponca. Loved it just as much this time. Very spacious and clean. Britney is very thoughtful and even left us cinnamon rolls made by a local baker. We plan to stay here again next year.

This is a farm out in the country, and was very private, quiet, and peaceful for us and our Labrador retriever. The owner is very friendly and helpful if needed. There is a large nicely kept grass yard with corn fields (this year anyway) all around. The cottage was comfortable and clean, just what anyone should expect. Full kitchen (minus a dishwasher), with plenty of room to cook meals if you want to. We got there on a piping hot day with temps pushing 100 degrees, but the cottage was nice and cool which was a real treat. There is a bar/restaurant less than a mile down the road on the edge of Burbank called Whimp’s Place where you can get take-out food or eat in. It seems to be a popular local joint. It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but the food was great, and the staff friendly. If you rely on GPS finding the house, be aware it gets you very close, but maybe one driveway off. Follow the written directions and description and you’ll be fine.

Stephanie‘s tiny home exceeded our expectations. It was clean and cute and had all of the amenities we needed. Stephanie’s preparation and communication were excellent. We would highly recommend this as a fun getaway.

We enjoyed our stay in the A Frame. The peaceful setting in the country gave us a quiet getaway. We enjoyed how close it was to Ponca State Park. The hot tub was also a plus!

Had a great time and caught a Walleye, so no complaints here! Darren was helpful, responsive, and organized.

We felt right at home and knew that if we needed anything, you’d take care of it. My boys also loved sleeping in the tent on the deck one of our nights there. Will definitely be back!
