Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Dinner Plain

Our families had a lovely weekend away, a beautiful property with plenty of room for us all to either be together or have some space to ourselves. We appreciated the fireplace and bedroom heaters being on and keeping the rooms warm for our arrival, and found the beds super comfortable. The kids (and adults!) loved the garden and many books to browse, exploring the paths outside and admiring the views and well tended to plants. Plenty to do in the area, going into town, visiting Beechworth and Autumn really puts on a show. Overall, very happy with our visit and highly recommend. Thanks Renee!

A beautiful stay! The cottage itself is great, a very nicely furnished place with lots of charm. It had everything we needed for our stay, and the heating was great (much needed in winter temps). Emma was great to communicate with & made our stay very enjoyable! Thanks again!

It was such a perfect little spot, nestled into the bush with lots of space to roam… but close enough to Bright to gather the essentials. And right on the doorstep of Mount Buffalo National Park!

We had a lovely family weekend at Willy Wagtails. It is a beautiful, light filled home in a peaceful setting. The large open living/dining/kitchen was perfect for evenings together. We loved the open fire! The house was very clean and very comfortable and had everything we needed. Linda was a great communicator. Thank you.

Had a beautiful stay at The Glen. The autumn colours were stunning each window you looked out of. Cosy at night time, we enjoyed the open fire, as well as the outdoor fireplaces. Having the river in walking distance was a special treat. Perfect spot to relax, but to also use as a launchpad to the nearby areas of Rutherglen, Beechworth and Bright. Was a perfect escape.

Beautiful location. Very well equipped and comfortable space for a family.

A great little place. Spotless and a great feel with a very private tidy back outside area and cosy and warm inside. Not at any point did we feel the need to dine out at night we just loved staying home having a quiet time and a wine while cooking.

This was our second stay with Melinda and as with the first time we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The space and property are beautiful and Melinda is a friendly helpful host. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else the next time I come to the area.

Excellent value for money. Pleasant stay in the heart of Falls Creek. Spacious for 6 guests. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

You should definitely book Kerri’s place if you come to visit the snowy mountains & surrounding towns, compared with the overdeveloped Thredbo resort Corryong is probably a better place to hide from city life. Her place was so quiet and peaceful.

Absolutely loved my stay here. Such a beautiful space and right in the centre of town. Close to lots of places to eat and shops plus just a short drive to many of the local wineries. Will definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay. It is a beautiful, peaceful spot and excellent location. The apartment is extremely spacious, clean and well appointed. Emma is an excellent host and provided all the information we needed about the property and things to do in Bright. We hope to be back next year!

We had a relaxing week at the "Shearer's Hut" quiet and beautiful scenery.

We had a fantastic stay at Peak 202 over Easter for a family wedding—John was a wonderful host and the apartment was perfect. Just steps from the village and Chamois ski run, the location couldn’t be better. The views from the floor-to-ceiling windows were stunning, and the space was warm, welcoming, and well-equipped. Our family felt completely at home with three spacious bedrooms, a spa bath, drying room, full laundry, and a great kitchen with everything from a Nespresso machine to a dishwasher. The gas fireplace, Smart TVs, free WiFi, and heated balcony with BBQ made it extra cozy and convenient. Keyless entry and thoughtful extras like games and a secure parking space really stood out. Everything was spotless, stylish, and designed with comfort in mind. Thanks, John, for a memorable and seamless stay—we’ll definitely return to Peak 202!

Enjoyed our stay! The house was beautiful with amazing views. A short walk to the town which was beautiful as we got to take in the scenery. Will definitely be staying again!

It’s the second time we have stayed here, we loved it so much the first time! It’s peaceful, relaxing, cosy, has everything you need and close to everything you want. Host is helpful and responds promptly. Not sure we’d stay anywhere else☺️

We had the most wonderful stay. Everything was just perfect we had 8 people staying over the weekend and it still felt like so much space for everyone. The place its self is just out of town, and it's very peaceful but close enough to be in town in minutes or only a short ride away. The views from the house were stunning and the house its self had everything we needed for a fantastic weekend away. I could not recommend this place more, I think we will be back again for sure, Thanks for having us!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days at Panoramia Villas. Beautiful views, quiet, and the most comfortable beds. Very spacious and perfect for 2 couples. Would definitely return some day and stay longer.

The views from the villa were truly stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset — a perfect backdrop to unwind. It felt private, peaceful, and connected to nature while still being just a short drive into town. The hosts were welcoming, responsive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. I appreciated the attention to detail — from the high-quality linens to the well-equipped kitchen and cozy touches throughout. This was the perfect base for exploring the High Country, and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet, luxurious getaway with incredible scenery.

great spot, very close to everything and loads of space. better than a lot of the options available nearby which were mostly hotels or motels or the winery accommodation down the road - all looked cramped in comparison. Michelle was very proactive in recommending places to go and we felt very welcomed! Will stay here again next time we are in rutherglen
