Holiday rentals in DeKalb County

We enjoyed our stay and particularly enjoyed the fireplace room. Perfect place to relax and catch up with friends….. or spend some time with a good book! The home is charming. Auburn is a lovely community and close to FW for shopping. I would stay again!

Whispering Pines Lodge is an idyllic place to unwind, relax in, and enjoy the beauty of everything John & Kathy have worked so hard for. The Lodge has all the amenities and comfort you could want, along with John & Kathy being so friendly, helpful, and truly caring that their guests are happy and content. I stayed in the fall, which was so beautiful with the changing colors of the trees. I can only imagine how it would be in the spring/summer months. Gorgeous! And so many things to do with the hiking trails and on the huge pond! I would definitely recommend Whispering Pines Lodge as a retreat for families as well as couples wanting to spend some "alone" time!

We booked this for our wedding home-base as we were getting married at Kruse Plaza and wanted to have all of our party in one place. It was perfect and Cassie was a great host. We were very impressed with the space.

Even though our plans changed and we didn’t stay at Chris’ house this time, we have before and hopefully will be able to again. Chris’ house is beautiful, equipped with everything and is very welcoming.

We had a magnificent experience at the Indiana Dream Barn. Dustin was so responsive in answering all of our questions, and proactively communicated all the local recommendations and clear instructions for check-in, our stay, and check-out. The house itself was spacious, updated, clean, and had all the amenities you could ask for -- a great indoor pool, a court for playing basketball, dodgeball, pickleball, etc., an awesome theater room, a big kitchen with updated appliances, plenty of comfortable sleeping arrangement options, and a great patio and tons of space in the yard for lawn games and relaxing in the peaceful countryside. Couldn't recommend this place more for big groups of all ages -- thank you Dustin!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quaint little Airbnb! As he was away during the day with our one vehicle, I was able to walk around Auburn and discover it's beauty, history and charm! The vintage little Airbnb is located right in the middle of Main Street and everything was easily accessible, by walking, from our location. I was privileged to walk through Auburn's stunning historical library, quaint little boutiques and artisan shops, the delicious coffee shop across the street, the N. Main Street Retro Diner with FABULOUS food, and amble leisurely amongst the amazingly beautiful local homes and cityscapes. The cherry on top of our stay in Auburn, was the AMAZINGLY friendly local residents who told a lot about the local history of their business locations. We were treated like royalty by our hostesses, Jon & Peg! We were welcomed with delicious treats of the BEST homemade chocolate chip cookies and a scrumptious blueberry crumb cake! YUM!!!!!! Highly recommend!

The house was perfect! Clean and everything that you could need! I would stay at this again!
