The property was an 18th Century barn which the owners converted to an extremely spacious holiday cottage, with the best of traditional and modern features. It is ideally situated for fell walking, running, mountain biking, stand up paddle boarding and other mountain and lake activities. The cottage encourages a hygge-style approach to cosiness, relaxation and wellbeing.

This is the old miller’s cottage of a 15th century mill, situated in secluded part of the Northern Lake District National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site. The Bothy is a small snug barn conversion adjoining our home close to Ullswater The living accommodation on the ground floor is open plan and has green electric heating and a wood burning stove in a sandstone inglenook, a wooden staircase leads to a bedroom with ensuite facilities. This centrally heated, one bedroom Guest Suite is part of a Georgian property built in the late 1700s. The Suite is located in Newton Reigny which is a peaceful village 5 minutes drive from the historic town of Penrith. 5 minutes to the M6 and A66 allows for easy access to the Lake District World Heritage site (the closest lake Ullswater 15 minutes drive). Free parking on the property's driveway and space also available to store equipment.

Perfect location for walks or bike rides or to travel to the picturesque market towns of Keswick or Penrith. Lake ullswater is 3 miles away. Rheged visitor centre is very close and the historic Dalemain House. caravan is situated on a working dairy and beef farm. Noise can be expected from milking machine and tractors.
