Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Couvin

Laurence’s house was one of favourite holiday stays ever: a big beautiful house with a super special ambience, an amazing view, a fairy-tale garden and loads of wonderful activities to do nearby. Brilliant tips and wonderful communication with Laurence, too.

Een heerlijke week gehad op de prachtige plek aan de Maas. Zomerse temperaturen eind april, begin mei. De omgeving is prachtig, de weelderige bergheuvels met vers groen aan de Maas. Het huis is werkelijk een klein paradijsje. We hebben veel buiten gezeten in de prachtige romantisch aangelegde tuin. Fietstochten gemaakt, wandelpad achter het huis over de bergkammen uitkijkend op de Maas. Er zijn 3 slaapkamers allemaal bovenin het huis. Een slaapkamer heeft een aangrenzende badkamer met wc. De andere badkamer is beneden met apart toilet. Een zeer goed uitgeruste keuken en heel veel mogelijkheden tot spel. Echt een heerlijke week gehad met vrienden en de plek is een enorme aanrader!

Wat een prachtig huis, en van alle gemakken voorzien. Een goed uitgeruste keuken, meerdere toiletten en badkamers, prachtige slaapkamers. Het huis was ontzettend opgeruimd en schoon bij aankomst, maar wel warm en stijlvol, zodat we ons direct thuis en op ons gemak voelden. Op loopafstand van de restaurantjes van Bouillon, in het oude deel, maar tegelijkertijd rustig gelegen en parkeergelegenheid voor de deur. Ik kan niet anders dan het huis van Sophie van harte aanraden.

We hebben heel hard genoten van ons verblijf. Perfecte locatie met 2 kleine kindjes. Echt alles is aanwezig en de tuin met speeltoren was geweldig. Ook kwamen de grootouders en tantes op bezoek, plaats genoeg om bezoekers te ontvangen en mee te laten overnachten. Heel fijn en snel contact met de verhuurders via de app en verder laten ze je met rust. Het huisje is zeker zijn geld waard. Voor uitstapjes in de buurt moet je telkens wel eventjes rijden maar in een straal van 20min kan je wel alles vinden wat je nodig hebt. Wij raden dit zeker aan bij vrienden en familie en komen nog wel eens een keertje terug.

Un magnifique week-end chez Stéphane et Dominique. Nous regrettons de ne pas avoir prolongé notre séjour pour profiter de l’endroit et des environs. Petit brunch sympa et paisible le dimanche matin sur la terrasse. Notre fille qui s’est mariée la veille a apprécié le calme et la nature paisible après cet événement festif ! Nous recommandons vivement le Gîte du Commandant 🙏

Ons verblijf was naar wens. We werden verrast met 2 drankjes die op ons stonden te wachten in de koelkast. Verder waren alle voorzieningen heel goed. We merkten wel dat er veel insecten in en rond het huis te vinden waren. Zowel in de keuken als op het voetstuk van het bed, maar dit was opzich het enige wat ons tegen zat tijdens het verblijf. Verder was het balkon fantastisch om in de middag te genieten van de rustige omgeving

Ontzettend mooie plek om even helemaal tot rust te komen. Vriendelijke host en zeer schoon verblijf!

What an amazing place to stay! Right on the Meuse river. Brilliant. The property itself is lovely, internet is good, tvs with Netflix etc in all rooms. Just a note that you do need own sheets or costs extra. This was somewhat lost in translation for us. Host was brilliant. Helpful and responsive. Note that finding the property can be a bit difficult as it’s not on a road but a bike path. But you will figure it out :) Would love to stay here again, was excellent.

endroit vraiment magnifique! décoré avec goût, très propre, fonctionnel avec tout le confort. la cuisine et les salles de bains sont plus que équipées. des tas de petites marques d'attentions sont présentes dans toutes les pièces pour qu'on se sente vraiment chez nous. la communication avec Sarah passe très bien, elle répond rapidement à nos messages et essaie de nous satisfaire au mieux. nous recommandons ++++ et nous reviendrons

It’s a lovely, bright, comfortable, charming, and very clean studio apartment right next to the train station, about 10 minutes walk to the grocery store and lovely town square. Great bed. Flawless, fast internet. The host was very responsive to my communications. Charleville-Mézières is also a surprisingly lovely and charming town in the Ardennes Forest with a verdant river & lots of walking trails. I spent a month here as a base for trips to Belgium and Germany and Lille. They clean the place once a week and left some great food when I arrived. However, the chair next to the desk is uncomfortable to sit in and work in all day. Also, twice when I was cooking with both burners, the circuit was blown and I had to open the electrical panel to turn on the power again. So you should cook using only one burner at a time. Finally, you can hear the train station announcements all day long, but they aren’t too loud and I didn’t mind. It’s silent at night. Overall I was very happy here.

Absolutely stunning location. I couldn’t recommend the beautiful picturesque town enough. Jean’s apartment was extremely clean. You will be more than comfortable if you have a vehicle. However, if staying earlier in the week keep in mind most restaurants/food options are closed either early or not open at all. We were lucky enough to come right before peak season and the weather was still incredible. We wish it wasn’t just an overnight stop. We would definitely go back!

On a réservé l'appartement de Jean-François spécialement pour un marathon série, et franchement, c'était parfait ! Le vidéoprojecteur et l'installation home cinéma sont top : on a pu profiter à fond de nos deux nuits. Le canapé est confortable, la connexion WiFi rapide, et tout était nickel à notre arrivée. Merci à Jean-François pour son accueil chaleureux et sa réactivité! On reviendra sans hésiter pour une prochaine session.

Seconde fois que nous y allons, tout c’est très bien passé. Poêle allumé pour l’arrivée. Nous avons profité du jacuzzi. À très bientôt certainement.

We hebben echt een fantastisch verblijf gehad. Sabine is ontzettend vriendelijk en attent. We voelden ons meteen thuis. In de buurt zijn prachtige wandelingen en het stadje Bouillon ligt vlakbij. We zijn hier helemaal tot rust gekomen en zouden meteen terug boeken.

Such a lovely place to stay! We stayed with our one year old daughter and the roof terrace was a perfect spot to spend time our evenings after she went to bed. Would definitely recommend!!

Charmante gite op een super mooie, rustige locatie. We hebben genoten van het huis als van de prachtige tuin Cecile en Denis zijn fijne hosts die ervoor gezorgd hebben dat we niets tekort kwamen en waren altijd vlot en gemakkelijk bereikbaar. Een echte aanrader!

Wir waren mit 6 Erwachsenen und 3 kleinen Kindern für 5 Tage dort und haben einen wunderbaren Geburtstag dort gefeiert. Ein tolles Haus, topp ausgestattet im Küchenbereich. Leider gab es nur 1 Kinderbett und 1 Kinderhochstuhl, vielleicht könnte man da etwas flexibler sein! Und die Diskussion mit Größe der Bettbezüge und Bettlaken und Mieten der Bettwäsche bei Nutzung eines Doppelbettes als Einzelperson (hier muss man für 2 Personen die Bettwäsche buchen!) ist wohl bei so einm tollen Haus und dem Preis doch sehr engstirnig. Aber ansonsten eine sehr ruhige Lage mit einer wunderbaren Aussicht, ein fantastischer Whirlpool, den man früh genug Aufheizen muss und ein Billardraum runden dieses exclusive Haus sehr auf! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder1 Liebe Grüße Hilga und Familie

Super vriendelijke ontvangst door Patrick. Het huis was perfect voor een ontspannend weekendje weg. We genoten van aperitieven voor het gezellige haardvuur en ontbijten met een fijn uitzicht.

Wij hebben met vrienden een heerlijk actief weekend gehad in de Ardennen. De accomodatie overtrof onze verwachtingen, twee ruime terassen, ruime eettafel, zowel binnen als buiten.

As listed, great amenities and beautiful area

Wundervoll! Wir haben unseren Pfingsturlaub im Haus von Audrey verbracht. Ein wunderschönes Haus mit tollem Ausblick, sehr besonders eingerichtet. Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet und Audrey hatte ein paar Getränke und Chips für uns im Kühlschrank hinterlassen. Am Freitag Abend ein schönes Willkommen nach einer langen Anfahrt. Das Wetter war nicht so gut, unsere Kinder haben den Pool aber trotzdem genutzt. Schön war es, den Peletofen anzuwerfen, der für die ersten Stunden gefüllt war. Pelets zum Nachfüllen waren günstig im Supermarkt zu erhalten. Alles ist wie angegeben, Audrey war schnell mit den Antworten und sehr freundlich. Die Gegend ist toll, Dinant sogar mit dem Fahrrad erreichbar. Im Ort selbst ist ein kleiner Proxy, der 7 Tage bis 20h geöffnet hat. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Wir kommen definitiv noch einmal wieder.

We came with 3 adults , 2 kids and 1 small dog. Sylvie's house is spacious, clean and with a nice view in the living room. one surprise us is that one room has some toys to keep our daughters happy. we feel very satisfied and happy to stay with sylvie house and we recommend it.

La maison est idéale pour un week-end en famille nombreuse, très spacieuse, confortablement aménagée, super équipement de la cuisine. Elle offre de nombreuses possibilités, tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur (jeux, cheminée, filet de badminton, plusieurs parasols, suffisamment de places assises). Tout le monde était ravi.
