Kid-friendly holiday rentals in County Donegal

Beautiful home the views are outstanding especially if the sun is out. David was great we had trouble connecting to the WiFi as my son had accidentally turned off a plug in a bedroom this could have been a nightmare (can you imagine a 9year old with no WiFi) David called my straight away and explained what to do to fix it. Rossnowlagh beach is close and also the smugglers creek inn was a highlight for dinner if i get the chance il definitely be back.

A very well deserved 10/10 in every area! What a Gem of a location!😍 The most stunning little cottage tucked away, to what felt like a little bit of heaven! So serene and peaceful it was exactly the relaxing break we needed Paul, Denise & family were fantastic and we were delighted to meet Levi , their miniature Jack Russell & the lovely donkeys The cottage itself is so beautiful and caters for every single need, there is not one thing they haven't thought off! We brought our Jack Russell with us and he loved it as much as we did, great beaches so close by for lots of zoomies! we are already looking at dates to rebook! Thank you to Denise, Paul & family for everything.

Cosy, warm, bright, airy and exceptionally clean. Very well equipped throughout, particularly the kitchen. The cottage is a great place to experience the Rosguill peninsula regardless of the changeable Donegal weather. In particular, the sunroom has beautiful views across Sheephaven bay. It was a perfect place for our two dogs. Close to beaches & an ideal location for an superb stay in the Downings area.

3rd stay at the Hidden Gem and consistently an amazing spot to unwind and relax - last stay was a few years ago in 2018, and the standards are still as exceptionally high. Accommodation is spotless - it has everything you need to feel at home, and the host was very helpful before and during our stay with recommendations of local events. A welcome pack of bananas, crisps, biscuits and milk, all you need to kick in and relax straight away - Accommodation is well equipped -Mary Frances has thought of everything! There's enough between the accommodation (pool table, Pinball, Bar games, TV) and local walks/beaches to keep any age happy. Just an overall great place to switch off and spend some time with the important people in your life. will be back as soon as we can, as it's just perfect.

Nous avons adoré la maison de Denis, beaucoup de charme, très paisible, excellente literie, un endroit chaleureux où l’on se sent bien. C’est une très belle découverte ! Et merci à Denis d’avoir donner une seconde vie à cette école

You will love this place and, like us, want to spend a week hear. Beautiful views, quite and tons of local adventures. This is an ideal base to explore the Donegal region and get to know the local culture and the land.

Fionnuala was a very helpful host and always on hand if we needed anything. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. Great location for killybegs and touring round Donegal. A lovely place to stay

Celia’s apartment was absolutely perfect for either 1 or 2 people looking for a getaway, situated just a km or 2 away from Barnesmore gap it’s in an absolute beautiful location, I will be 100% staying again!

Grahams place was lovely, beautiful surroundings. Very close to the town of Letterkenny only 10 min drive. Place was lovely very comfortable, hot tub was amazing great addition for the price your paying great deal . Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to come to Donegal

es war ein toller Aufenthalt. sehr liebevoll. haben wir noch Frühstück bereit gestellt bekommen von Rosemary und ihre Hündin hat uns herzlich begrüsst und verabschiedet. sehr ruhig gelegen. ideal für Reisende mit einem Fahrzeug.

Nous avons passés 3 nuits dans l'appartement de danny. celui-ci est bien plus grand qu'il ne paraît sur les photos. 2 belles chambres et un grand sejour avec cuisine. le tout bien agencé, décoré et outillé. nous n'avons eu aucun soucis pour nous garer tout les soir sur le parking commun au café. très bel appartement.

This place is right in the center of town, very walkable to all the nearby shops and restaurants. It's also been fitted with great light blocking shades and solid windows so it's still peaceful, even though it's right on the square. Would definitely stay here again.

Isobell is a fantastic host! She gave detailed directions and responded timely to messages in leading up to arrival. It was delightful to meet her when we requested one item that was quite important to us, responding and personally delivering immediately. It was fun to chat too about Letterkenny. I stayed 2 nights at Ann's cottage and enjoyed it very much. The cottage is very comfortable with lovely view out over the water and surrounding area. Easy to find using eircode and google maps..great base to explore the are. Ann was a very helpful and accommodating host. I would stay again

This is the third time I have stayed at Martin’s place. Like the other 2 times, it did not disappoint. The only problem I had was the fact that I had to check out!!! Already looking forward to the next visit.

Clement und Marie haben uns sehr freundlich empfangen und alles gezeigt. Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich und wir haben uns gleich wohl gefühlt. Unsere Motorräder konnten wir sicher hinten im Hof parken.

What can we say, our stay was so perfect from start to end. Brian and Marion are wonderful hosts, welcoming, friendly, helpful and kind. Muff is a lovely little town and this property is perfectly located for exploring all around this charming area of Ireland. Nothing was too much trouble, the property is so well equipped for everything we could have needed and more. We stayed with our 9 month old baby and she was well catered for too with a travel crib all set up and ready to go. Small touches like fresh milk, biscuits, personal recommendations all to hand on arrival, we couldn’t have wished for more. Ruby their beautiful little dog is so friendly and docile if we could have snuck her home with us we would have. The place is absolutely spotless, beds are comfortable with loads of pillows to choose from, anything you can think of that you might need is already there. Overall this has been a lovely little getaway for our family and made perfect by staying at this beautiful house.

Lovely convenient accommodation right in the heart of Dungloe town yet very quiet and comfortable. We would recommend this location to anyone staying in this beautiful part of Donegal. Nice shops and cafes nearby and it’s an easy walk to the restaurants and pubs. Maria is a great host and it was a very relaxing few days in her accommodation.

Peaceful and beautiful area, cosy cottage. We found the drive to Magheraoarty harbour for the ferry to Tory very lovely. The weather looked grim in the morning, so we nearly cancelled but the weather changed and we saw the island under blue skies and sun. We enjoyed exploring the north west shoulder of Ireland; Dungloe, Benburb and Cruit Island, to the pier. The road to the pier passed through a golf course. It looked deserted but a golfer , obscured by a small hill, hit his ball and cracked the corner of my partner's windscreen! It's often when you leave the bigger roads that you see all the lovely settlements overlooking the sea. These roads can be tiring for the driver who needs to be constantly watching for oncoming traffic on roads where it is difficult for cars to pass without a passing place. We only had a few days but returned restored, via Ards Foret Park.

Stayed one night. Perfect location for us - 45 minutes from Slieve League cliffs. 5 minutes from the town of donegal and restaurants. We were able to pickup food and bring it back to the house to eat. Very clean. Ann was very responsive to all my questions. Easy parking. Bedroom had a skylight which the only drawback for me - it was still bright at midnight and I don’t sleep well unless it’s dark.
