Great room in great castle. The castle is being restored and it is very interesting to read there in the form of photos and information books in all areas of the building. Thanks for a nice stay !!

Xavier was a lovely host. The Commanderie is steeped in history and set in peaceful surroundings. Nothing was too much trouble for Xavier, we especially appreciated the bedding, finer touches in the kitchen and the local restaurant recommendations. We loved the breakfast in the banquet hall too! Would highly recommend staying here for a peaceful stay with a quirky twist.

To get to the castle is better to put in the GPS Chateu de Rosieres rather than the address in the description. But even without it is well indicated in the village so we reached we not problems. The minute we walked in we felt very welcomed by Bertrand, he is the kindest host i've met, got even upgraded for free to a better room in the castle instead of in the courtyard. The castle itself feels exactly as you would expect from a medieval castle of the 13th century. Appreciate the tour and booklets about the history. Even if the common spaces may feel a bit unfinished, the rooms were impeccably clean and organized. Also, it is warm and not humid at all. With bad weather outside the bathtub was great to have. We didnt spend much time outside, just enough to meet the donkey and the goat in the back. Very friendly. Great location to have a relaxing weekend, a couple walks in the countryside but also close enough to cities like dijon and besancon. Recommend passing by Beze.

We stayed two nights with our adult children and friends. Plenty of room for all, enjoyed the pool and outdoors. Had lovely meals together in the large kitchen! Wonderful time.

Our stay was a wonderful step back in time at this well preserved living price of history. Corinne, who welcomed us, was delightful. she made us feel very welcome and gave us an informative tour of the castle and peaceful gardens and made our stay very memorable.

This is the most magical place we’ve ever stayed. The owners invite you to stay in the castle where they live and you are transported to another place and time. The hospitality, the breakfast, the beautiful rooms, the charcuterie and wine on the terrace over the moat, the garden and access to the paths on the grounds: the ambience of the entire place is off the charts. My favorite part might be the mural filled with birds, flowers, butterflies and other creatures in all four seasons painted by the owner. It fills all four walls of a dining room! The whole experience is one you’ll always treasure.

We had a very pleasant stay in the chateau! The place is very beautifully renovated and decorated. Its extremely spacious and all rooms were very clean. The garden is also great for kids to play. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back!

What a truly amazing property in beautiful surroundings. The hosts were fabulous, friendly with lots of local knowledge and recommendations for things to see - the perfect spot for a quiet getaway to relax and recharge. I will definitely return as I fell in love with this tranquil area of France.

Our favourite airbnb we've ever stayed at, which isn't hard because it's a literal castle. The customer service was incredible, Noemie was brilliant at welcoming us, touring us around the castle and grounds, setting up the spa and putting together a delicious cheese board (highly recommend ordering) - plus her recommendations for Dijon were perfect. Then in the morning having Corrine prepare us a beautiful breakfast including french toast was sublime. Can not wait to return, and have been recommending to so many already!
