Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Corstorphine

Melissa was a friendly, helpful and very responsive host. The house was exactly want we wanted and expected. The place was also spotless. The rooms were all good sizes and the bathroom was modern and had a really nice shower (with a bath for the kids) l. The location was great for our little family that wanted space in the evenings but happy to travel a bit to get into Edinburgh, we found the short drive to Kirkcaldy where we could park at the station and get a train directly into central Edinburgh worked perfectly for us. Or you could use as a base for driving to different parts of Scotland. I wish we had time to look at the local area some more as it's near a coastal path. I would definitely come again and recommend to others.

What a fantastic place to stay and an excellent base for exploring Edinburgh and the borders. My family and I had an amazing time in the beautiful South Lodge. It is as listed and shown in the photos - highly recommend!

I have no word that truly captures this place. It is centrally located for folks who want to explore the highlands, lowlands and anywhere in between. The home was SO cozy and Maggie welcomed us like family, sharing her local knowledge of the best places to visit, great scenic routes to get there, and absolutely THE best restaurants around. The home had comfy bedding, a cozy living room complete with wood burning stove for those chilly nights, and a oversized tub to soak away the day. Maggie even had milk and orange juice in the refrigerator waiting for our coffee and tea. The scenery is second to none, surrounded by picturesque hills and a view of the Loch. I could stay here forever.

The Shiel House was an absolutely stunning and massive property. We visited as a large group of 8 on a golf trip, and this was the perfect Airbnb. It was beyond spacious, with all the amenities a large group would need for a week long stay. The location was great for us with popular golfing destinations like St Andrews and Gleneagles within driving distance, as well as a litany of local courses. We also were within driving distance of Edinburgh with plenty of fine dining options. Tim was a very gracious and helpful host who provided clear instructions on locating the property, as well as a fun treasure hunt that takes you around the property and to local spots. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the property and the host!!

My family of 4 loved our stay at Denise’s place. House was just as described and perfect for us. We got off an overnight flight and were so happy to get to the house in beautiful sunshine. Had everything we needed. Excellent communication too. Lovely views of the bridges and Location in South Queensferry was perfect. Nice and quiet but close to Edinburgh. Easy trip on a direct bus. We’ll be back!

Charming one night stay after getting in late from the airport!

We had a fantastic stay at Green Cottage. Craig was very helpful from the start with travel tips and luggage drop off information. Craig provided very useful information for checking in and locating the cottage, everything was easy to follow. The cottage is in a lovely location, within walking distance of the Royal Botantial Gardens and the coast line. It is also near many bus routes and easy to visit all the tourist sites in Edinburgh.

We had a wonderfull stay in this almost like new house. Highly recommanded!

Marvelours placenta to stay!

It was my first time traveling alone and Skye helped make me feel very comfortable. She was extremely accommodating and amazing to interact with. The location is perfect for exploring the city by foot. You’re only a 20-30 minute walk from the old and new town (Victoria street and princes street). It’s almost a direct walk up the main street or I chose to walk through the park. It’s a very safe area and everyone is super friendly. I felt very safe being alone. There are plenty of good food options nearby even amazing vegan options. Or the flat has a full kitchen with everything you need to cook yourself a meal. There’s even a small grocery store next door. It’s very cozy and cutely decorated. I would absolutely love to stay here again! Thank you so much for everything Skye!

Stewart and Velda were lovely hosts. Very communicative (answered our many queries) and went above and beyond. We left our daughter's stuffed animal behind and Velda took extra pains to send it to us. Their place was neat and very cosy, with lots of books and games which my girls especially enjoyed. Location is top notch and bedding was of superior quality. They also very kindly provided some breakfast essentials for us which was very helpful as it was one less thing for us to worry about after our long flight into Edinburgh. Thank you once again, Stewart and Velda.

The flat was spotlessly clean and very well-maintained. The location is super convenient — right above a beautiful garden, which made the mornings especially lovely. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

This apartment is a perfect base for a trip to Edinburgh. It’s a short taxi ride from the airport or a choice of public transport. 20 min walk along the canal right into the city , we felt very safe in the picturesque area. Any questions we had were answered in minutes. We loved the apartment, a real unique spot !

It was a great experience. Amanda’s place is beautiful, with modern furnishings and an amazing view. The location is very central, yet it was still peaceful and quiet. We stayed there with our baby, and she had no trouble sleeping. The bed was large and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you might need. It truly felt like home. I couldn’t recommend it more.

We had an incredibly beautiful and relaxing time at Karen's place in the very idyllic place Burntisland. Actually, we wanted to stay directly in Edinburgh, which we couldn't afford. When we arrived in Burntisland, we were extremely positively surprised and quickly fell in love with the small place. In the end, we even found it better there than in Edinburgh. Not only is the city very convenient to reach by train within 40 minutes, the trains also run very regularly. The place itself is small but nice. All necessary shops, smaller food stalls, cafes or restaurants are available. However, we enjoyed the varied nature the most. You are right by the sea, behind you has the forest, a beautiful hillside, whose views are definitely worth climbing. The Fife Coastal Path runs through several such small places along the coast and the section around Burntisland is simply fantastic. Highly recommended!

We liked everything, the price is good

Stayed here for 2 nights with 5 other adults - one of the best decisions! As a start, check-in was smooth. Everyone has their bed, towels which is great. Had to figure out the heater (our country is Summer all year) and Lukas was very responsive. This location is almost a straight drive to the city centre. With free parking at the location, it gave us great relief to know we won’t get penalised. Love this place! I would recommend this to others.

we have just left Howford house after a lovely 3 night weekend stay to celebrate my husbands 40th. we were a family of 14 adults, 2 children and a newborn baby and we had the most peaceful comfortable stay. the house is fantastic, it has everything you need and the location although super private and peaceful, it was near restaurants, the coop supermarket, Traquair House and land which we got discounted because we were house guests, and lots of walks and hikes. the surrounding acres were stunning with the frost and autumn leaves. we all loved our stay, the kids (and the adults) didn't want to leave. special thanks to Elaine the housekeeper who was brilliant with her communication and help. we will recommend and be back in the future.

We had a fantastic stay at this Air BnB – it truly felt like a home away from home. The house is beautiful, warm, and welcoming, with all the thoughtful touches that make a stay extra comfortable. The hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive, making everything seamless from start to finish. The location is perfect – nestled in a peaceful area but just a quick hop onto the motorway, giving you easy access to both Glasgow and Edinburgh. Entering this well appointed, beautiful home, there is a feeling of warmth and relaxation. The skylights bring in the natural light to the bathrooms. The Kitchen is modern and sleek, with everything you need to make a first class meal. The visually stunning, spacious backyard has a wonderful garden. There is a park just behind the house. My daily jog would lead me down to the beach. Here i would do a quick cold plunge- rejuvenating my body. The area is surrounded by a world renowned collection of golf clubs. The Longniddry golf club is a short walk and is a fun track. Thank you for being great hosts.

I can’t say enough about this place and how lovely Ian and Flo were in being such great hosts. Not only was the house fantastic but they were so kind and helpful… It was like staying with good friends.!

This house was exactly as advertised. Spacious and beautiful. Perfect for two families. Check in was easy and Jacki was very responsive.
