Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Cookham

had a great stay, richard and gay very welcoming!! lovely and tranquil place tucked away from the hustle and bustle... recommended!!

We stayed here as had a family wedding close by. It was comfortable and we enjoyed being able to walk to local shops and cafes.

From the very start to leaving the communication was brilliant. The home is in the most amazing location. We was fortunate that we knew we wanted to stay here and Fiona was accommodating to our request. We had a brilliant time and if ever back in the area would hope that we could get back! This was my second time at The Mews and I couldn’t recommend more! It’s very private and peaceful but very close to lots of things. There was plenty of space and the welcome basket was the sweetest touch! Will definitely be booking again!

We found Elliot’s place was perfect for our family with grandparents, parents and children. It was obvious that Elliot had children as there was everything we needed for a toddler and a baby. The fact that we could walk into town to the shops, restaurants, parks and river was a bonus as we didn’t have to load the children in and out of the car. There was plenty of off street parking too. The only small negative was that the backyard no longer had grass/lawn for the children to play on. We enjoyed it so much that we could easily see ourselves living in Henley.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and exceeded expectations. It is decorated to a high standard. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything we needed. The beds are both a good size and beds very comfortable. We all slept well. Some people have commented on noise from the road, yes you can hear the traffic but it did not bother us through the night. The garden is enclosed and perfect for eating out in. If you don't want to cook a meal I would recommend the three Crowns just a 5 minute walk up the road. There is also an Indian restaurant a 4 minute walk away. The hosts were very responsive to messages. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

What a delightful gem! we stayed at Sam's sweet clockhouse for two nights, and wish we could have stayed longer. It was warm, spacious, and very comfortable. the beautiful countryside (as well as some shops and restaurants) is close by. Sam was welcoming, flexible, and kind. Decent chance we'll be back :)

Amazing London flat! BEST check in (with John) we’ve ever had at Airbnbs- he is amazing & u will want him to stay & socialize after he aptly explains home features & mini instructions! Public transit is close & walkable from flat which is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood Highly recommend staying here if you want to explore London!

Quentin and Melissa’s place felt like a home away from home! Upon arrival we met Q and he was incredibly warm, welcoming and was there to help answer any questions we might have. They also left us with a lovely gift basket and essentials in the fridge. It made us notice immediately how much thought, care and detail they put into having guests. It was an easy walk to the tube and was nice to retreat to this quiet side of town after being in the bustling hub of the city during the day. Communication and cleanliness were also top notch. We would absolutely stay again. Thanks for everything Q and M!

4th time I’ve stayed. Nice clean flat in superb location near Westbourne Grove, good pubs and coffee shops away from the bustle of Portobello Road but close enough by to wander over. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. All in all a really good flat

This apartment was wonderful. Very clean and quiet!! We enjoyed the quiet street and the lovely neighborhood very much. The apartment was very close to a grocery store, restaurants, and the trains! We were able to check in early which we really appreciated because our cruise ship arrived in a Southampton very early. I definitely want to come back to London and will stay here again. We didn’t drink the free bottle of wine but appreciated the gesture. We actually planned to but by the time we got back to the apartment each night we were full! Thank you Mary Ann and Dal for your hospitality!

Neil’s place was ideal in so many ways. I was in London for an intense exam week, held nearby, and needed a place to base myself. I loved that the area was buzzy and alive yet the apartment was still quiet and I could concentrate. The bedroom in the back was very peaceful. There was everything needed in both the apartment (full kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine with iron and ironing board, clothes drying racks etc) and from the immediate vincinity from nearby supermarkets, exercise places or a walk around Hyde Park. Transportation was very easy, being a one minute walk to Notting Hill Gate tube with access to the Central, Circle and District lines. There are also plenty of bus stops (I took one across the road to Paddington station the day I left) and walking is possible to lots of places. I couldn’t recommend this place enough if you’re wishing to experience a cool neighbourhood in London.

Loved our stay here. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Derek and Clare were very helpful and friendly and everything you would want from hosts. Thanks for having us.

Sai’s place is great. It’s comfortable, cosy, with everything you need for a good stay. It’s nice and quiet there, but nevertheless it’s brilliantly located close to local shops, restaurants and buses that will easily get you to the tube, or to Watford. It’s no problem to get to central London or to the Warner Bros Harry Potter experience. Sai’s a great host. Responsive, helpful and honest. He was really quick to ensure he returned items that we mistakenly left in the property when we left. This is the third time we’ve stayed there and we’d do do again in a heartbeat.
